Just moved to Troy! Love this planet fitness. But I have one request… as do most people I’ve talked to here.. please please put in a water bottle water dispenser above the drinking fountains 🙏🙏🙏 …

Customer service was great. I prefer free weights so I probable would rarely go to any planet fitness. Good for people just starting or who likes that type of atmosphere.

Love the massage chair after a good workout. Best time is early in the morning or late at night.

Clean, friendly staff, lots of parking, beginner friendly, tanning as well. No its not for the heavy lifters, but hey to each their own.

Clean, well laid out. COVID restrictions in place. Seems like they are short staffed, but they did well. Equipment is good shape.

Planet fitness, in my recent experience, is the only gym I've been to or heard of that's making members wear masks WHILE working out. This is dangerous. The consistent inhalation of ones own carbon dioxide emissions and limited oxygen while having an elevated heart rate, especially during intense workout, can cause someone to pass out and run the risk of serious injury depending on the exercise. There are also closing certain machines that are well over the recommended 6 feet apart from eachother and calling it social fitness in. This is particularly frustrating when all machines are taken and your staring at a perfectly good machine that you can't use. I will be canceling my membership as soon as I get back to California! And the hypocritical slogan they have on the wall is ridiculous. They give the definition of a lunk while having a judgemental picture of a jacked dude in a tank top on the other wall. Hypocrites!

Good for people who are just starting out or older people but not for those experienced. Didn't even have basic machines such as a roman chair. No Olympic weights other than smith machines. Friendly people and atmosphere though

I have held a planet fitness membership for a little over one year. I've always had neutral or positive experiences here. Arguably my most negative experience has been due to their decision to reduce from 3 smith machines to 2. Rather than space these 3 out in their club, they just closed one entirely. This is only a significant problem due to their refusal to use free-weight barbells/racks in their gyms. I respect this choice but if you are looking to smith squat, bench, or anything else involving this equipment, expect to wait a long time or stagger your gym visit to the less busy hours as there are only two available. PF is solid for cardio and some weighted workouts, but after a year, I had to cancel my membership.

My husband and I stopped here while traveling through New England. We both used the treadmills and as soon as we got on one of the employees decided to be the mask police and started cleaning all the machines in front of us so he could make sure we were suffocating appropriately with our masks on. It was so obvious what he was doing since he was cleaning machines that had yellow signs posted saying they couldn't be used due to social distancing, plus he only cleaned the machines that were in the row in front of us. Obviously by the looks of him he has never been on a treadmill in his life and couldn't comprehend how difficult it is to run while not being able to breathe. We only went because the hotel we stayed at wouldn't let us use their gym but we will never, ever step foot in a Planet Fitness again. Find a local gym where the employees actually work out and would never put their customers health at risk.

One of the best Planet Fitnesses. Great staff. Great price. Great location. Clean showers with hot water and a small private changing area for each. Even have foamy soaps in the shower and hair dryers.
