The pools at Sandia and McLeod have been closed consistently since October. Nobody answers the phone at the corporate office to complain to. The locker rooms stink and are dirty and all of the soap dispensers are torn off the wall.Update as of 1/21***I went in to cancel my membership and was talked into staying. I was told the issue had been fixed. It lasted two weeks without a closure due to a chemical imbalance and today the pool is without heat. I went all the way down there and had to get in the pool to discover this. When I went to the front desk they lied and said they had sent out a notice.

This location is the forgotten and dilapidated location, left to the elements and the poor management. When i joined last year, they mentioned potentially re-opening the steam room, and lured me with the prospect of adding an outdoor functional weight area. Now, it's the beginning of the year (i would assume their busiest time for new memberships) and nothing has gotten better, only worse. The facility is massively humid which causes damage in the locker rooms including mold and constant condensation on the toilets. Literally it is so humid that just walking in the front door sometimes makes my glasses fog up. A few weeks ago the soap dispensers in the shower were taken down without notice for "sanitary " despite other locations still having shower soap. There are missing barbells from the push bench area. Three bathroom stalls either don't work, don't lock, or are closed. The full amount of seating in the sauna can't even be utilized because the top row has been broken for months and is uncomfortable.Anyway, for what it's worth. The gym is cheap and there's lots of eye candy. I would think they could come up with other revenue streams rather than cut so many corners every chance they get. You'd think that the gym would make some improvements before the busiest time of year.

Great gym if you go at the right time it's big enough to get the machine (s) you want. Plenty equipment and free weights. HIIT area/wet area/cycle class.

I used to love this place prior to the pandemic. However, recently DF seems to be focused more on opening new locations than on keeping this one in good shape. The steam room has been out of operation since the start of the pandemic, with no sign it will ever reopen. There are various structural problems; they have had a bucket to catch water leaking thru the roof into the men's dressing room for months now. The thing that put me over the top is a constantly running/leaking shower in the men's showers. It had been running more than 6 cups of water down the drain every minute since some time in August. (6 cups X 60 = 22.5 gallons an hour = 540 gallons a day = 48,600 gallons since this problem began. That's a hell of a lot of water wasted here in the desert. - And it is HOT water, so they are wasting energy as well.) I have talked to several of the employees at this place, and they all say the same thing, "We have told the bosses, but we can't do anything else." I think its a scandal that this business can waste water like that with impunity during out drought. The only reason I gave it a second star is for how well they were doing in the past.

This location is not the best. The General Manager Nick has impoverished people and customer skills. The Personal Training is low quality not worth it. The pool is unsanitary. I watched plenty of people come from the Sauna with sweat dripping off of them, then get In the pool or hot tub without showering. The Sauna is infested with black mold, along with the showers. Very disappointed with my experience thus far.

Love this gym but lately it's been so hot! I think one of their Ac units went down and they haven't fixed it. Got home from the gym and felt like passing out. I'll change this to 5 stars when they fix the ACas it's been down a long time. They had fixed the A/C awesome gym awesome staff!

This is the worst experience ever. I cancelled this membership on the App 6 weeks ago online because I moved back to Ohio. Now they are making harrassing phone calls about past due bill. Avoid this Gym at all costs. Especially if your visiting.

I have never been treated so unprofessionally as I have been by the manager at this location. I was accused of being racist and talked down to. This should never happen in a business of any kind. I would love to discuss this with Mark Fisher who I understand to be the CEO of Defined Fitness. Shame on the poor training of this manager at this location altho I understand he is new.

Alexis has made an incredible difference since she started working at the Juan Tabo location!! She’s kept the sauna hot and the pool clean and refreshingly cool!! Great job and thank you!

Love the gym, have been coming for 8 years or so. Customer service normally good until tonight. Called ahead this evening to see if I could have a friend, who's a prospective customer, lift for free on a 1-day pass to consider changing gyms. Talked to an employee named Joe, must have misheard the name, but they told me that was fine and they would see me soon, then ended the call. When I got there, I scanned in and asked about the pass, which led to Leonardo immediately disputing whether I had actually talked to anyone since he stated nobody named 'Joe' worked there. Not a fan of immediate distrust from a customer service rep, given that the call was in my phone log. He said there is no one day free pass. Not having a free day pass is fine, but confronting me coldly and not believing me at all that someone told me yes is pretty annoying.Paid the $20, but next time maybe Leo can be a bit more friendly while discussing.
