Helpful people. Good prices for what you get. Management is like none other. That is not the best part. The best part is that it is not just a gym for muscle heads. There are all types of people there and you don't feel like you stick out like a sore thumb being out of shape. The gym is clean and orderly. The pool is great too! If you are trying to decide on which gym to choose I suggest going here. I don't think you will be disappointed.

This place is massive for $43 a month. There is so much equipment that I have never had to wait. Occasionally something will break down, but sooner or later they get it fixed. To have classes in addition to all the machines, free weights, swimming pool, spinning equipment, etc is just a lot. You don't realize at first the Juan Tabo location takes up the entire strip center. It's amazingly huge with tons of equipment of various types.I've never dealt with their personal trainers and don't plan to. Staff is kind of what you would expect from a bunch of ex-athletes, but they are polite. The clientele ranges from serious bodybuilders to seniors just trying to maintain a good life. I'm more toward the "just want to maintain my health" and have never felt uncomfortable there. I wish they had more kettlebells. The carpet is pretty worn and dirty, but otherwise the facility is well maintained. I have seen a lot of employees cleaning and sanitizing during covid. I've been pretty happy there for the last 9 months. The young guy that sold me my membership should have been more clear, but once I got it all ironed out things are fine.

Amazing club, you definitely feel a sense of community that you don’t feel like at any other of the locations. The staff is friendly and professional, the equipment is new, and the facilities are always clean. Sad about the steam room not re-opening but that’s my only complaint after many years of being a member.

I've gone to the gym 4-5 days a week for 11 years, so I have a fairly good basis for comparison. Defined used to be my home gym, but I moved away from ALB 6 years ago and so now I only go to Defined when I'm in town visiting. I was shocked to see how filthy the women's locker room is now. The floor looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years (this was at 9:00 am so it hadn't had traffic all day...) and it's evident they never clean inside the lockers. In the shower and toilet areas the structural posts are rotting and corroded. And the showers need to be completely replaced. The scale platform is so dirty it's scary. This is really sad because Defined used to be spic and span. To be fair, the gym floor itself is exceptional. They have every piece of equipment you could ever want. And they keep the equipment in good condition. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

I train at the Juan Tabo location. The range of equipment is wonderful! There is a range of fixed path of travel machines to a power lifting area. The membership is as diverse as the equipment and most folks are friendly. The manager there is a great guy that is always there to help. The other staff are great too. Courteous and respectful, they are always willing to help - case in point; I accidentally left my 4" regulation lifting belt there and a week later I asked Joe and he knew exactly where it was and unhesitatingly restored it to me. So... a big shout out to everyone at Defined Fitness Juan Tabo! Thank you!!!

What a joke. This gym makes you take your photo and give all your personal info and sign liability forms before you can even tour the place to decide if you even want a membership there. Not normal for a gym - found another one nearby that didn’t require all this info just for a tour. Also the staff doesn’t even trust the members to just swipe in at the door like a normal place. The super slow staff has to individually scan in each person. There was a huge line of people waiting to get scanned in to get their workouts started.

An excellent gym. It has a full range of equipment for serious lifters (and several sets of everything, so you never have to wait) but plenty of machines for less experienced gym-goers, too. Has the vibe of a no-frills garage for power lifters, but more accessible.

Been to this location only 4× and it deserves a 5/5 Star Review. As a local influencer in town, I can proudly claim that this is another great gym to work out for anyone new to Albuquerque or in search of a new gym. Of course, as Defined Fitness Metro is my dominant gym - the Sandia Club is my 2nd home gym. I would like to commemorate The GM, Ian Clark! He has an extradinary leadership skills and it is sad he is leaving. However, I pray his great leadership skills in the Sandia Club will spread to wherever he is destined next! I wish Ian the best and will continue to enjoy this gym! Great space for all people of ALL backgrounds!

While at the gym today, my car was hit and the bumper torn and hanging to the side. Jared Fitch at Defined Fitness helped me for over half an hour with my car's bumper as we tried to unlock it. BEYOND IMPRESSED with the costumer service here!!! So so helpful and kind. Thank you so much!! If you are the owner, give this man a serious bonus pls

I was visiting family over Christmas and joined my sister for weight training most days during the week. I was worried the price would be high for a guest pass for 2 weeks, but it was extremely reasonable. The staff are exceptionally friendly and the facility has a great variety of equipment. The pool and hot tub were also wonderful during the chilly weather! Great experience overall!
