Everything you would expect - not sure why its rated so low. I needed a place to work out this morning (day-pass). No idea why the ratings for this gym are low. Its everything you would expect in a local gym, well stocked, well lit, cool temp, clean, etc. Even had some nice scenery.

It seems like the staff is completely new from when I came here last. Regardless, this gym is one if the neater ones I've been to, and I like their layout of the equipment. This new staff is nice so far, but still needs some more training on some of the financial subjects for their members.

Horrible atmosphere, broken equipment, and doen not honor their contracts. We signed into a deal 2008 to pay 500 for three years, then 100 a year after. The contract reads they have the right to increase dues annually by 5%. My dues doubled this year. Their response is, well we hate it as much as you do. Dont sign a contract with this place, its a total s-hole anyway.

It's not awful nor does it feel particularly special. It's not ridiculously packed but occasionally cardio equipment needs work. Only one class room and a limited clientele results in crowded classes with few options for time slots. Swimming pool and showers are borderline gross. Kid's club has limited hours compared to be bigger clubs, I'm told. Its biggest pro is the out of the way location with many ways to get to it from 121 and 75, North and South.

Do not go to the facility in Allen TX. Most do not know what is happening inside this club and have the right to know as a member. The management is the worst I've seen. Clif seems to try for the Kids Club, but is all talk and no action. Promises toys and materials will be purchased and never follows through. There is little formal training for Highschool graduates and up and no support. They are CPR trained and work hard, but are treated horribly. No set schedules and management never seems to know what they are doing or how to schedule correctly. They have the childcare worker fill out an incident report but then never follow up on them. That is the point of a report. Your children are not safe here. If reports are not followed by an action of suspension, a child or children, who should not be there will eventually hurt your child. There are no separate areas for different ages, even though it has been suggested to make a separate infant area. It also has never been followed up. Lately, there was a wrongful termination, in my opinion. A boy, who loved working with the children and they loved him, was let go because a fight happened and they said he did not react quickly enough. 3 people in an area and he is the only one let go. At the time, and it is on tape, he was holding a child and verbally telling the children to stop. When it definitely was getting worse, he put the child down, he and the attendant behind the desk, got between them and an incident report was written. 3 people and they were the only one's who reacted but he was let go. Why? That's hard to know, but you don't see a lot of boys working in the Kids Club area do you? Think about it. He was humiliated and told to go to the Child center to let the other worker know he had to leave and why in front of the children. This is a managers job. The other person involved in this incident...well she was there somewhere? She says bathroom but the incident was 15 minutes long according to management. Why has she not been fired for either not being at her area or ignored the situation completely?? So a person, who did react, is let go. Seem wrong? It gets worse. The missing girl in this incident has also had other issues, but is somehow still there. She is either late or doesn't show up. She even text her manager that she partied too much and that is why she wasn't there that morning. She brought razor blades into work that were confiscated by her manager. She has left crying numerous times, left work early for cramps, witnessed sleeping while working and has had headphones in her ears. Hard to hear the children that way? Yet, somehow this person still remains employed? How? Nobody has any idea. But a very hard working boy is told to leave after one incident when others were there as well. He's told he hasn't reacted before. This is not true and never has had a verbal or written warning prior to this incident. Wrongful termination? I absolutely believe so. Now on to outside the Child Center. The new manager and a new membership sales person were investigated and found guilty for not following protocol with members accounts. In fact, not legal. Yet, they are still there? There is no cohesive atmosphere. Rarely does the front desk want to help out the child center when needed, and lack of support in all areas in regards to management. There are many reports on this site about member fees and that is also an issue at this club as well. Now back to the Main focus..knowing what you do now, do you feel safe leaving your children in an area that is not backed up by management? The rest of the child care staff are working hard and writing reports that go ignored. If you would like a safe environment, play equipment, a separate infant area and toys, let management know and loudly.

Like most places (I'm guessing) they make it EXCEEDINGLY difficult to cancel a membership. It's not a bad place, just don't see a lot of value for the price over any other club in town. The facility is starting to look a bit dated, and the equipment is old (about half of the treadmills are broken at any given moment). It looks like the staff does their best to keep stuff working and they are nice people.

Staff is friendly, but the cardio machines are ancient, half are broken, all are musty and rusty! Go somewhere else!

This is my favorite location. They offer a variety of classes, and the front desk and instructors, as well as the trainers are very friendly!

Always something going on with this gym; staff is crap, management should've never become managers, sales guys are exactly what sales guys are - full of crap. "Brand New Equipment" is mediocre at best, maintenance issues are very common. No consistency in "policies", no appreciation for loyal customers who pay dues on time. Don't invest in this gym or 24 hour fitness because they will not invest in you as a paying customer. Also, if your expecting this gym to be fully functional for 24 hours of the day, don't waste your time. Total joke of an establishment. *Edit* Also, ladies - one of the employees at this gym (I won't name drop) thinks he is a total playboy. Super excited for when his girlfriend comes in and finds him "training" his side chicks in the parking lot. Something to think about.
