I was a member of 24 Hour Fitness since 2000. During that time the club was amazing, not now. I recently canceled my membership August 2023 due to the lack of cleanliness, hygiene of locker rooms, equipment maintenance, health & safety and their advocacy for political issues that don't align with American values and shouldn't be brought into the gym.I truly believe corporate is trying to save money rather than take the health and safety of its members into consideration.I would highly recommend looking into another gym, but if you're curious to see what I'm saying then give it a try.

The pool is not heated for over a month and nobody has a specific date by which it will be repaired. Today i was told maybe it would take a few more weeks… is this normal? Also, the bathroom stall walls look stained (couod use a paint job)and the floors are not the cleanest. They only seem to have one person on staff to clean. It is a busy gym. People sneak in and I don’t feel completely safe anymore. I hope the owner sees this post. We need the gym to go back to what it used to be, it would take so little!

Really appreciate this comprehensive and friendly gym, that has an indoor running track with windows. This is one of the only gyms in Austin that has a running track where everyone runs the same direction (no people running backwards or annoyingly walking across the track), and the directions switch daily to protect the knees of the runners. Also has cardio equipment, weights, and even a pool and a hottub!

Used to be a super sport. It is outdated. I liked the diversity felt safe.

The place is great EXCEPT it always take months to repair the broken facilities, like whirlpool, sauna, etc. They don't seem to treat it as an urgent matter - probably until enough customers complaining about it.

This gym is old and dark inside, and they need more squat machines, but it'll do for a good workout. They offer 2 free buddies passes with their premium membership, so I've kept my membership. Just wished they would've kept up with it, gave it a new paint job or a good scrub.

This location on research blvd isn’t currently honoring 3 day free trial passes from the 24 hour gym website. Just a heads up for folks that want to try before they buy. They will still try and sell you on a membership. I just ended up walking away.

I have gone to this location since before it was bought by 24 Hour Fitness (decades). For everyone commenting, it was never open 24 hours, but now it closes even earlier than it used to (8 pm on the weekend!). I stopped going during covid and just went back for the first time in 3 years. The gym is filthy. Some of the stairmaster stairs are crusted with white salt from sweat. The sinks in the women’s locker room aren’t draining. The locker room floors are disgusting. It did not used to be dirty like this.

Be very careful with your membership at this location. I quit this gym nearly a year ago. I just found out I'm still a member and still being billed.Cancelling your account through the website naturally generated an error which will likely never be resolved. This is just another way they keep retention up. I called the location where I set up my membership and spoke to their manager. After speaking I was under the impression my membership was cancelled. That was not the case, and I'll have to keep monitoring my credit card bill for future charges.I understand COVID has been hard on 24 hour fitness, but this seems far beyond unethical.
