24 Hour Fitness in Monterey Park, CA, offers around-the-clock access with a range of fitness equipment and amenities. The gym is situated conveniently in the Atlantic Times Square complex, making it easily accessible for locals. Despite having friendly staff, it has faced significant criticism for poor maintenance and cleanliness, with many machines out of order and restrooms consistently in disrepair.

Some members have noted an overcrowding issue, particularly during peak hours, and a lack of proper air conditioning. Others appreciate the gym's variety of classes and updated water fountains. Based on my first and possibly last visit to this 24 Hour Fitness. The 10:30am class was full and I got kicked out in front of the entire class when I walked in since I didn't have a number card. It was quite embarrassing; never thought I would feel embarrassed at the gym, so make sure to ask the front desk if you need a number or not. Instructor Susan will call you out in front of everybody, so heads up to avoid the embarrassment. I never thought they would fuss over a person coming in without a number, but I guess it happens frequently enough where they are already annoyed. How am I suppose to know, right???The girls in the front were super sweet when I asked them for some advice for possible, yet unlikely future visits. They stated the max capacity is 42 in the classroom and they tend to fill up 30mins prior to the class. Plus, the numbers are handed out 1hour prior to the class till it fills up.I don't blame the workers or instructors for my negative experience. I blame the structure. It's suppose to be a SPORT level, yet the classroom only fits 42 people, seriously?! I have seen ACTIVE level with a bigger classroom. Perhaps if the cycling classes has their own room, the classroom can increase their size (the cycling machines is left in the classroom when other classes are going on).As a member, I wouldn't want to worry about getting into a class or not. I've been a member for over 7 years and I have been seeing this same pattern for the last year. It's quite unfortunate!Other than the classroom, the facility is new with cardio machine on the second floor and the weights on the first. Pool facility is also available here. Did it impress me? Eh....As for future visits, we will see........

Haven't been since April 2014 but I like the east location from downtown & south la area. Um, agree with most of the reviews on the cleanliness it could be better. The lady's showers are gross with dead hair and mold-like substances. The middle aged to senior women take forever in the showers like they haven't bathed before or without a shower from home.Yes, the classes get full. There are waiting lines with assigned tickets. Bummer. So if planning to take a class here BEWARE. If you planned to worked out before the class you MAY not get a ticket as you have to be in the LONG line to receive one. This location could improve on many accommodations and services to its gym clients starting with constant daily sanitizing & cleaning the locker rooms. Also, wiping down the weight machine benches would be nice too.

The gym itself is fine i suppose, if you don't mind the most horrible parking ever, or not being able to listen to Pandora because the reception is noon existent, or never want to be able to work out because it's over crowded daily with people that are not into sharing benches or equipment. This place is 2 minutes away from my house, i drive 20 minutes to go to another location that allows me to actually enjoy working out. Oh, their showers are open and with more gay men coming out the closet, would be nice of i could shower with a dude staring at me.

To many people comes here even at midnight there's still a lot of people. The pool and Jacuzzis are always occupied and when you get the chance to go swim the water has too high content of chlorine.

Decent 24 Hour Fitness in the middle of an open air mini-maill. There are lots of food options for a post workout meal. Parking is available in the structure below, but be prepared to search for a while if you go at peak hours. And if you go at peak hours you'll be competing for the machines.

I love coming to the TKB, ZUMBA and Hot Hula classes! I have been coming to this location for about 4 years now...The only part I don't like is walking in and sometimes the front desk is in MOODY MODE... People at the front desk usually look at their phones, don't say hi sometimes, talk to eachother and today I walked in and saw both the manager and the staff.. and both of them didn't care to greet anybody...Unacceptable manager and staff there! But, the gym is fine and classes are fun :)

My first time today to attend zumba in this club. zumba was at 11:30am. I got there at past 10am. When it was time for zumba, the girl by the door collects tickets. I didn't know they give tickets so you can get accomodated in. I complained at the lady in the front and all she said was sorry. I talked to the manager and told him my bad experience. x-(

been to at least a dozen 24 hour fitness locations throughout the 5 years i've been a member and this by far is the worst, filthiest most crowded, and cramped. you can go there at 12 midnight and still have to wait on equipment. I live 5 minutes from here and make the extra 5 mile drive to downtown los angeles where i have to pay for parking to avoid this dump. they have machines that have been broken for months and only one drinking fountain working on the first floor. people line up to use the one drinking fountain.

Went there for 15 min.. Got out. Good looking gym. Has a pool! (i didnt get in though) went upstairs did 15 min then had to stop. Its tooo damn hot upstairs. They have a little fan, dont know if it was on. I felt like i was running in the desert. GUYS no shirts that are altered is a gym rule. Why you no follow rule?

Unacceptable! Was there for the first time today. Went upstairs to the cardio equipment and found it so hot up there that I had to leave early. It must have been about 80 degrees. No air or circulation. Just still, damp, hot air. Awful. People looked pretty miserable. I don't know who's managing the facility, but he is clueless to the concept of maintaining a cool, comfortable, well circulated gym. Downstairs was slightly better but still too warm.Gym equipment was not very clean and had sweat and prints over much of the equipment.I'm heading back to LA Fitness on Fremont. Much nicer.
