24 Hour Fitness in Monterey Park, CA, offers around-the-clock access with a range of fitness equipment and amenities. The gym is situated conveniently in the Atlantic Times Square complex, making it easily accessible for locals. Despite having friendly staff, it has faced significant criticism for poor maintenance and cleanliness, with many machines out of order and restrooms consistently in disrepair.

Some members have noted an overcrowding issue, particularly during peak hours, and a lack of proper air conditioning. Others appreciate the gym's variety of classes and updated water fountains. However, the consensus remains that this location requires substantial improvements to meet the standard expected for the membership fee charged.

For its monthly price its not worth it and canceling it is even worst. The gym smells like gross old damp rags upstairs and some other parts of the gym smells worst and theres hardly any ventilation up where the cardio section is and most of the cardio equipment is fairly old and some dont work properly. The gym itself is a mess no staff re-racks the weights. Theres hardly weights when you need them since one is lost somewhere in the building or it magically dissappeared.

Literally one of the worst 24s I've been to. I've NEVER seen an employee racking weights or cleaning here. Also, the 24 store is supposed to open at 6, which they never do. The lower level gyms are better to go to just because they are cleaner with higher standards.

Small, old and dirty. Even at 2 in the afternoon I had to wait a while just to use one of the two squat racks. Playing lame 70s and 80s music loudly over the speakers, too. No powerlifting/Olympic lifting platforms.

Water tastes horrible. There are many people sitting on the equipment and staring their phones. And the worst this is the restroom. Worst 24 fitenss in the Southern California for sure.

Just visiting from canada on day pass. Bathrooms were not clean. No paper towels to wipe equipment. Just used upstairs equipment. $20 ok price, good location.

Just note I am coming from the LA Fitness in MPK so this was a big change.Overall though it was nice to see that they aren't much different. This 24hr feels homey. It's nudged in a canyon of shops and apts and it feels exclusive. The set up is way nicer than most other facilities in the area honestly. Unless you're going to Arcadia, MPK is your best bet.Hit up yoga at 9:30TTH/10:30MW. That instructor is really good!

Signed up for a guest pass online as I wanted to check out the facility. Upon my arrival I was told by team member Taylor Warren that the 3 day guest pass sent to me by the club was invalid until a person from the sales team activated the pass. She then informed me all sales personal leave the facility at 10PM, it was a few minutes after 10:00 PM. . I was denied entry into the club. I was told I can only enter the club by paying a $20 fee to use the facility for the day! I’ve re-read the guest pass and don’t see where this instruction/information is stated. What a waste of time. Disappointing.

Overall great gym. It’s around many other shops and an AMC theater. The staff are friendly, especially the staff from the kids club. My kids love going there and I do as well. People need to stop complaining about everything and just focus on working out.

this is probably the worst 24-hour I've ever been to. It was so difficult finding dumbbells that were matching in weight, there was three different pairs that seem to be missing one of the two weights. None were racked anywhere close to where they were supposed to be. The second floor is way too hot. I don't believe they have running air conditioning.

Went there with a 7 day free pass and was being denied by the sales consultant and the manager! They said the free pass is ONLY for new members (I was the gym's member about 2 years ago).I went home not happy; and double checked the company's website in regarding to the restrictions on the free pass. The exact wording was: "User must not have been a guest or member of 24 Hour Fitness within the last 6 months."This staffs were either lying or don't know what they are doing! And have turned away a returning member.I have joined LA Fitness. Bye bye 24 Hours Fitness!
