I had been a member with Xcel for over 4 years. I wanted to cancel my membership for my lack of use. Xcel charged me a 49.99 maintenance fee that showed up on my bill in Feb. My contract said it would it would be charged in June. It is Feb right now. There is also a 30 day cancellation waiting period which means paying for a full month. What a terrible payment system.

The gym itself is fine but if you ever have to cancel your membership, they make you jump through all kinds of hoops. I would not recommend them to anyone!

Moving to the area. Wanted to check out the gym as it's convenient and they have free 3 day passes online. However, because I didn't live in Oregon yet, they charged me $10. Disappointed.

HANDS DOWN THE FINEST REAL GYM IN BEND TOWN! The owners and the staff are simply great people. You will meet incredibly awesome patrons who also come here for the same reason you chose this gym!

Decent gym, has the equipment that you would need...but it is owned by a 3rd party financial company who makes it very difficult to cancel your gym membership and requires you to pay any payments that fall within 30 days of receiving your 2 forms of proof for cancelation. ABC financial has several lawsuits filed against them for this reason and more. Give it a quick search. Dont sign up, find another gym.

The worst gym experience of my life! I do not recommend tis facility to anyone. Be careful of the janitor that spys on you in the changing room. I was also charged 250.00 to cancel my membership, After paying for a year straight. The daycare staff is very nice and treated my child and i with the upmost respect. The staff is horrible and rude minus a couple gentelmen and the daycare girls. Do not sign up with xcel you will be very disappointed.

I worked out at the gym for a year, and it was good, I liked the yoga classes, but mainly just did the treadmill. I moved out of state, and the third party financial people were ridiculous. I just had paid a yearly membership fee of $50, and they still made me pay my last month, after I moved, and had to provide proof (who needs a gym membership after they move?) Then made me pay a $60 cancellation fee and wouldn't reimburse my yearly membership fee. Not good business, and I will NEVER again retain a gym memberships using ABC Financial from now on.

What can I say about Xcel that isn't positive. From the moment you walk in the front door of either location, you are immediately greeted by the best staff you could ask for. And it's not because it's their job to say "Hi!", It's because they're awesome people who are just very friendly and always willing to help. The equipment and atmosphere at both locations are perfect. Both filled with motivated people of all shapes and sizes, constantly making fitness friends daily, and can always find a machine for that one certain body part.Prices are more than fair as well.Do yourself a favor and become a member of you are in the market for a gym, 100% satisfaction guaranteed.

Best gym in town. I love the equipment that is always working great. No machine is ever broken. The gym is very clean all the time. The staff and other members are all very nice and helpful. 100% recommend.

Xcel is a solid gym. Lots of equipment, clean, well maintained. It's open 24x7. I also really like the child care option. It's $3 for them to watch your kid in a clean daycare on site. They'll watch the kids and play with them for up to 2 hours which is a fantastic deal. I do the monthly because it's $30 / month and if you use it 10+ times it starts being more cost effective. Gym staff are nice and friendly. They learned my name and remember me even when I don't show up or fob in for a while. If I had to name a downside I would say it's parking. Lot is always full and usually some douche bags park their cars in two spots which makes me want to key 2" gouges into their paint (but so far I've mastered those demons). Another downside is the amenities - not a lot of extras with membership like you might find at other clubs in town. Still, all the positives outweigh that for me, and the price is awesome... locked in $19/month is excellent. Going to be a member here for a long time.
