The men's locker rooms are absolutely disgusting, full of naked old men and stinks god awful. One of the dirtiest gym I've ever been to. Sales guys are stupid F**ks with big egos and it's very apparent they make a commission if they sign you up. I purposely didn't sign up with one of them and came back at a later time so he would not get my commission. Honestly a $10 month planet fitness membership is worth more than a $30 membership here. Hate it

The people complaining about things like the number of hooks in your locker or benches in the locker rooms need to remember where they are at. It's practically unheard of in Boulder to be able to join a gym for only ~$30/month. You're kind of getting what you pay for: just the bare bones basics. On that note, I've been very happy with 24hr the last six months - friendly staff, all the equipment you could need, and a surprisingly high quality of group fitness classes. took one star off because I do agree the showers could be cleaner - that's an easy thing that staff could take care of better. The people who are knocking 3 stars off their ratings because this place doesn't have all the bells and whistles need to shop around and be reminded that memberships are $80+ at the places their comparing 24hr fitness to.

I'm sorry, but the locker room is really not too clean!I like the price, its just right. But instead of showering at 24 Hour i usually just go home instead and do it there. I guess I cant complain too much becaus3e of the price, but also maybe i should! Just go there and exercise and you will be happy but not if you want a very fancy time.

What's really wrong with this place is that it's dirty. The shower stalls have a black mold around the bottom edges. The floors also in the showers are slimy. Plus the shower knobs and heads are always missing or broken. There's a urinal that's broken and like everything else that breaks down, it might not get fixed for months. The pool and jacuzzi have a yellow slim and is heavily clorinated. The managers and regional manager must not care about this place at all because they're never there. I live in Aurora but work up in Boulder and the two in my area are managed right. Boulder residents must love paying for the filth of a mismanaged gym because nobody says anything.Btw, this is how lazy the maintenance staff is. A show light bulb has been out for over a month. A easy replace but they're too lazy to change even that.

24 Hour is not a bad workout place. It has allkinds of equipment and classes. The staff is friendlyand outgoing, and the trainers really know theirjob. But its a big corporation and like most bigcorporations it doesn't seem to care very much aboutits customers. I have submitted written suggestionsand never got a response. Broken equipment staysbroken for weeks or months. The men's locker roomsneed more benches. (One of those suggestions thatwere never acknowledged) We're almost sitting ineach others laps as we change clothes. There'splenty of room for more benches, I think they'rejust being cheap ( I have never been in the women'slocker room but assume it too lacks sufficientbenches ). The lockers themselves have only 2 hooksin them. They should have 5 or 6. (1 on each wall, including the door and a double hook in the centerof the top) There aren't enough hooks to hang all myclothes, necessitating throwing them into the lockerwhere they sometimes get dirty from the mud and dirton the bottom of the locker, left behind byfootwear. Again, it seems like they went with thelowest bidder for the lockers. It would be nice if there were a publictelephone in the lobby area, to make a quick callupon entering or leaving. Or is everyone expected tohave a cell phone now? Holes in the parking lotremain unfilled for months. I realize 24 Hour isn'tdirectly responsible for filling them (although afew bags of asphalt patch from Lowe's would do thejob) but why isn't it hounding the landlord to fillthem??? Again, it makes it seem like they don'tcare about their customers. The parking lot lightsare on all day every day, wasting energy andcontributing to global warming. For those of us whocare about our environment, it is exasperating tosee that every time we go there..Why doesn'tmanagement hound the landlord about getting thatissue fixed as well? Again the answer is, they justdon't care. The pool has WAY too much chlorine in it. Iwent once and my entire body itched afterwards.Showering did no good. It was IN my skin, not ON it.When it first opened the pool had salt water. Idon't know why it was changed. In conclusion, there are probably betterplaces to workout in Boulder. The best thing 24 Hourhas going for it is that it is open 24 hours. I'm anite person and like to workout in the late evening, and I got a really good deal on membership...

While 24 is by no means a "fancy" gym, it's everything you need - a ton of cardio equipment, a decent number of classes, and somewhere to swim and shower. I had a fabulous trainer there for a while whom I loved - the only not-great thing is that they don't treat their staff very well, but in general the gym gives you everything you require as long as it's not a super cushy atmosphere that you're looking for!

Even during busy hours the wait times for certain machines are short. There is a small lap pool, saunas, stretching areas, and all kinds of machines. I wish they would bring in some better ab machines but beside that I think this is a great gym. The staff are helpful and the bathrooms are always clean.

July 25, 2013 It's been over 2 or 3 months since the hot tub has worked at the Boulder 24 Hour Fitness. Now the swimming pool is cold as a glacier and has been all week. Cleanliness of the gym leaves a lot to be desired. When the staff or manager is asked about the broken or dirty equipment they are vague in response as to when it will ever be repaired and cleaned. And they are not very polite about it. It seems to me that this is not s Sport Club if the pool and jacuzzi isn't working so shouldn't all the Boulder members be refunded the difference between a Sport and the clubs not having water equipment?

24Hour fitness has really gone downhill in recent years. I decided to cancel my membership as I could no longer justify paying for frequently broken equipment, unclean bathrooms (not really dirty, but not clean), and broken fixtures. I am bumping up the quality rating b/c of the saltwater pool. I cannot stand chlorine and it is very hard to find a saltwater pool in most gyms. There are definite pluses and minuses with 24hour fitness. Definitely tour multiple gyms before joining.

Signed up for a few months while training for a 5k obstacle course with a friend. Right out the gate they were really pushing hard to sell me on all kinds of stuff. Once signed up, I started going there on a regular basis. Good selection of equipment for whatever your routine is, but the downside is that the gym has WAY to many people and unless you go at 5am or 9 at night, you can guarantee that any equipment that isn't broken will have someone using it.If you thrive on a big gym atmosphere and lots of people, it's really not a bad place. Personally I found it intolerable. One other fun tidbit; when I went in to cancel my membership, the woman at the front desk courteously canceled my account and printed me a confirmation. Well, a pre-confirmation. Then two weeks later they charged my account. When I called and asked what the issue was, they said that they had no record of her ever cancelling my account. I'd like to believe it was just a mistake. Fortunately, when I called about the error, they were apologetic and helpful in refunding the amount and cancelling the account for real.Pros: Good selection of equipment. Swimming pool. Friendly Staff. Social.Cons: Way too crowded. High pressure sales. Feels very "Globo Gym"
