I really want to give this place a higher review, but the inconsistency with the higher weighted dumbbells is NOT to be ignored. When you reach 90+ lbs, they have different thicknesses.... Which can be a huge safety concern. This gym is one of the more serious gyms around the Buffalo area without being crossfit (But are those really gyms, or cults?) The facility is very clean, and the staff is also friendly. FIX your ridiculous dumbbell situation, and the review will improve.

Just joined because the gym I previously belonged to is closing, which is near the Catalyst French Road location. I went to the Catalyst French Road location and many of the machines seemed very old, and not working properly. The machines at the BAC (which is closing) were much better. I'm going to give this location a chance, as this was my first visit, and possibly I just have to get used to this gym. I wanted to work out at the French Road location because it's close to home but if I don't like this location, I'm going to try a different Catalyst location.

I love working out here. It's not so big that you get lost and overwhelmed, but not so small that you can't do a complete workout. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly all the time. The prices are also extremely reasonable here and they never try to push classes, registration, or anything like that on you. I believe this gym is a huge part to my fitness success!

Love the new design, one thing missing is to be more organized the weight machines by muscle orders like in a row so you can have super sets. Example left row chest next row back. Third row quads and last row on the right hams and calfs. Then in the entrance replace those with all abs machine. You get the idea. Organize it to save time for us. You can also have the machines in different color by muscle groups chest/back/arms/legs/abs 5 colors.

Been with this gym since 2011 it was once Golds . This gym is just ok as of the past 2 years . Music sucks. Management not the same . They rush you out 15-20 minutes early in the evenings by flickering the lights which can cause seizures for a person with epilepsy . Miss the old crew . Music one of the biggest issues . To slow.

Den of con artists. The club was fine. Not great, not bad. My problem came when it became time to cancel my membership. It took my over 3 months to get this done littarly chasing the manager from location to location because only he can CANCEL your membership. I finally caught him after being lied to by the front desk "oh he's not here" as he strolled out to get a drink from the cooler..... really. Guys don't wast your cash the place is a scam.

I love all this gym offers. They offer a lot more compared to other gyms. I used to go to World Gym and that was pretty suck at compared to all the machines, cleanliness, variety of classes, and now the hydrotherapy message I love to do after a workout.

This place nice! They are always improving the gym which is a good sign. The staff always smiles and says hello and goodbye. And there is plenty of equipment so if it is busy you don't really have to wait for anything. And it's really clean here.

Depending on which city this gym is found in it has vastly different standards and accouterments not found in the other gyms. The only one I wouldn't recommend is the one in Williamsville it's a tad pretentious and incredibly competitive there. The trade-off on that is they have the most equipment and the best equipment.

Definitely a top tier gym in Buffalo. If not the best, definitely one of the best. They did a great job with the remodel and added a lot of open space. Great free weight section and plenty of cardio equipment. Just an overall great vibe/atmosphere if you're serious about fitness. Clean locker rooms, great staff.
