In 2019, this place cannot take payments over the phone OR cancellations. You have to physically visit the location to get anything done. I had misgivings about joining this gym and the sales person solidified that by making me give them TEN of my family/friends names and phone numbers. I did not like that.Last week I tried calling in to pay and was told I had to physically come in to do so. I work and have things to do and wasn’t able to go up there. They have now charged me over $50 to my account claiming it was part of an annual fee. Also, the guy on the phone stated that I would have to write a letter if I wanted to cancel. What is this, the 90s? It’s 2019 and you guys go above and beyond to make things difficult for your members. I know for a fact I’m not getting my money back and now my checking account is ALL off. Thanks a lot fitness connection. Get with the times and make things easier for your members. I’ll be coming up there to cancel TODAY.

I've been to gyms all over the country especially fitness connections.. This trinity mills and the mesquite location are the best I've seen... They have great staff and treat you like family. Also great crowds and you see the same people if your a avid lifter. If you have a problem with cancelation that's a you problem... At 21 bucks a month for open locations (also in Houston) is a win!!! These are incredible gyms. Some locations smaller than others but still great... 5 star!!!

We miss it!We were going to this gym regularly but since we moved had to switch gyms. This gym is clean, friendly, large TVs and sound, and has a much greater variety in equipment than any other gym. We were going at 5am so it was GREAT!I have to say in comparison to LA Fitness this is much much better in all aspects. If it was closer, I would definitely go back.

A lot of equipment but when it’s busy, that doesn’t matter. Staff is generally very nice but their guest pass isn’t very accommodating. I had a friend visiting and we wanted to hit the gym together. You can only bring a guest once every 4 months. If they want a one week pass, it’s $50. That’s not worth it at all. I might be looking into other memberships. I like the location and equipment as previously mentioned but the visitor pass situation has me ready to look elsewhere.

Signed up not long ago for the $0 down no one explained to me that it would be charged for $23 a month .. they didn’t explain that they have 2 types of memberships just signed me up for the $23 a month: I called to see why I had been charged already if I just signed up 2 weeks ago they said it automatically takes it out on the 1st every month. They associate transferred me over to speak to a manager but since the manager didn’t like what I was saying he was making grunting sounds and trying to get me to shut up. I don’t appreciate it and don’t like the gym.

If you read all of the bad reviews about this place, they are TRUE. Canceling a membership is near impossible and they text you nonstop about it. You have to certify the letter of cancelation and pay extra so they don't "lose it." The price is great, but you really get what you pay for, and do not pay for this gym. The employees are creepy, as are the men that attend. So if you're a woman at this gym, watch out. Overall, horrible experience and horrible customer service. Take your business elsewhere.

This has got to be the WORST gym I have ever been to. You get your workout walking the half mine from your car to the front door. You better like waiting for a treadmill and love being so close to other people, their sweat gets on you. There is no way to clean the machines and this place squeezes everyone in way over capacity. Currently attempting to email to cancel my membership but I’ve heard messing up your card information is the easiest way to cancel a membership.

I haven't been here in a year since I moved further away and started going to youfit, but I came back today since a friend works out here. Little did I know, the card I had on file expired a few months ago and had an outstanding balance. Never received any notification of this via email but no big deal, was my fault so I took care of all charges, $170. I asked to speak to a manager to see if he can waive the $49 fee to downgrade my membership to $10 a month since I haven't been here in so long and just paid all that money. He told me he'll see me after my workout. Ok, fine. An hour later I come back and he's still "busy" doing whatever in his office and relayed through the receptionist that he'll give me a call to see what he can do. Total bs. Lack of customer service and communication skills. I wanted to have this gym as a backup workout facility but I'll be canceling now. Please note that you have to mail in a written letter, they won't let you cancel at the gym. I feel like gyms like this only use this method to deter you from canceling and taking your money. Stay away.

This gym is absolutely ridiculous. I would advise just going to Planet Fitness over this chain. I recently suffered from a spinal injury which I explained to a personal trainer that tried to get me to sign up for their services. They did an introductory work out free of charge and then sell the hell out of you to sign up. Due to my injury, I thought it could be a good idea so that I could start strengthening my body while I’m recovering. The next day I was in more pain and decided to put a pause on the membership. I tried calling multiple times with no call back so I decided to call corporate. After speaking to corporate I was told I was locked into a 12 month contract and would have to pay a termination fee on top of all the fees I paid to sign up. The trainer specifically told me I could cancel at anytime which was a lie! Now I want to cancel my gym membership altogether and I’m told I have to mail in a 30 day written notice. What in the entire hell!

What a joke of a company!! Zero stars if I could! Wanted to just play basketball at their court. The guy said I had to sign up for a membership and pay the $6 fee to play and just send my cancellation notice by mail. BEWARE of their scam!! Several weeks later after I had already sent the notice (and received confirmation they got it because I used tracking and they had to sign for it) they still charged the $23 membership fee for the month. I called my bank and told them it was not an authorized purchase and that I had proof with the date of my cancellation notice. Several days later I receive a check in the mail from fitness connection with the refunded amount. HOWEVER.. I just received a bill from a debt collector in the amount of $30+ because of fitness connection!!! So stupid! They refund my money because my bank made a case on my behalf, but in order to get their money back they send us to a debt collector?! Yeah right! Good luck to all of you fighting to get your money back!! Go somewhere else! I didn't want to write a review about it because they refunded me the money, but once I received that bill from the debt collector I was over being nice!
