I am a former General Manager of a major gym. Having first hand experience and the knowledge of what it takes to operate a gym, I must say FC is outstanding. The customer service is exceptional, the cleanliness is superb and the amenities are plentiful. The membership fees are too good to be true. . Fitness Connection deserves a 5 star rating and an award for being the best at everything in this business.

I have been a member of this gym for about 4 years now and I love it! The kids club is amazing and my boys look forward to going almost everyday. Everyone is always so friendly and the place is very clean, which is a huge plus. The whole staff is amazing! Larry, at the front desk is the best... he is always giving my boys stickers and welcomes us with a friendly smile. Thank you to all the staff that make this place nothing’s short of amazing!!!!!

This establishment has poor customer service. I signed a membership 03/01/2020 and by mid March the facility closed due to Covid 19. I was charged May 2020 for my annual fee of $49.00. I called in May to cancel my membership due to Covid pandemic and was granted the cancellation but was denied my annual fee. How is this legit? Is my $49.00 worth loosing a customer? I will definitely never give them a second chance once this pandemic is behind us. I also have a membership with 24 hour fitness which moved to a new location in November 2020 and was trying to decide which gym I like better before canceling a membership of 18 years. I will say 24 hour Fitness is definitely a professional environment with class. The environment is refreshing, trust me I’ve been an avid gym and fitness person for over 50 years.

They make it sound amazing to sign up with the gym, but if you try to leave, they make it very difficult. They leave out little details about cancelation fees and paying 50% of what you owe if you do personal training. All they want is your money. I would not recommend this gym to anyone.

***UPDATE***DO NOT SIGN UP AT THIS GYM....unless you want your money stolen. My husband and I typed up and letter of cancellation and sent it CERTIFIED. We calculated everything and the last payment should have been in November. They ended up taking out another payment for December and now we are going to fight for our money back. The reviews here about the cancelations are accurate. They steal your money after canceling. Not only that, like I stated in my first review, they do not tell you about the yearly fees when you originally sign up. If I could make the rating in the negative, I would!!!We have our receipt and copy of letter. We better get our money back.It's clean and they offer an awesome variety of classes. I love that I only have to pay 10 a month and the classes and childcare are included.I haven't cancelled yet or anything because I plan on staying, but if I need to cancel for some reason, I will immediately call my bank to stop any transaction from them. From reading all the reviews, I think it's best to write the cancellation notice letter, send it certified and the next day call my bank to make sure nothing is taken out of my account the following month. I was never told of this 30 day cancellation letter and I just joined yesterday so, I would remember. They don't have the right to my money as soon as I cancel. They say it's "no contract, no commitment" so it should be a worry free cancel. I think notifying them in the certified letter that I was never told about having to pay more after cancelling so I will be calling my bank and stopping any more transactions.That's my plan, anyway.I'm giving a 3. UPDATE: I wrote my original review 5 MONTHS AGO. I am still dealing with this bullcrap. I sent my cancellation via certified mail, Fitness Connection then went on to send my "unpaid balance" to a collection agency. I am now having to go back and forth with them in order to protect my credit score.Unless you plan on staying with Fitness Connection until you're in a casket go literally anywhere else for the love of God. Go to 24 hr across the street, anywhere else is better.Stay. Away.The gym itself is fine, albeit extremely busy during peak overs. However, if you ever hope to cancel for any reason, prepare for a massive headache. You are required to mail in a letter designating your reason for cancellation. No phone calls, no in gym forms, this is the only way to cancel. I'm about to go through this, sift through the other reviews for other horror stories. Terrible business practice.

Absolutely garbage! Don't let them fool you by cheap monthly payment. This is an absolute trap.The cancellation policy is a headache. They ask you to mail an actual letter to them! who dose mail these days? Adter sending the mail, they pretend they have not received your mail and keep charging you months after you send the mail to cancel the membership. I blocked my bank account and after that they couldn't charge me anymore through bank they texted me that they will send it to the Collections and added the late fee too!!! they also charged me for an annual fee which they said at the beginning they would wave it for me to. Customer service is extremely rude. They take your money with in a flash but they are not responsive to the cancellation process, making it too difficult so just end up throwing your money in a trash! Terrible terrible experience... I do not recommend it to anyone.

The gym is clean and the equipment is usually in working order. Like most gyms, many members do not rack their weights and you will spend time looking for free weights. They have a nice womens only section. Several work-out partners I talk to have had things stollen in the parking lot or in the locker room, so please make sure you are carful. Parking is difficult if you go around peak hours. Just FYI, if you want to cancel your gym membership due to a move or other significant change you must notify the company in writing 30 days in advance of your desired cancellation date. The company makes it very difficult to cancel membership. If you want to cancel you must send your name, membership number, and reason for canceling in an official letter with a date and signature at the bottom. The gym and some of the trainers are very nice and cool. Some walk around with attitudes. However the people up front have no idea what their companies policies are. I have two accounts and one is for my son and he is a juvenile. I wanted to cancel my membership and switch my name to his. Because he's in school and the clowns told me they didn't have access to be able to remove his name and leave mine on it. But I could start another membership in my name, new management is not good none of the staff is on the same page, everyone will tell you something different which very deceptive, They are scammers but I like the gym very much.. Would not refer this place to anyone..

The most dishonest group I’ve ever seen. I’ve been in and out of gyms my entire life. I have friends that own gym chains, and they firmly believe in customer service. My compliant is that I was flat out lied to when I joined. They deceived me and mislead me when I joined. I am very unhappy and irritated. Reading other comments I do agree about the cancellation policy, it absolutely ridiculous. Zero stars wouldn’t be low enough for me. Even after speaking to the manager and trying to call customer service they made no attempt in solving my problem. I read about crowds in other comments. Crowds is an understatement if you even think about training in the evenings between 4-8 and even later at times.
