The gym is amazing. No problems so far. Why I’m leaving 3 stars is because of the personal trainers they have. You get a free fitness assessment when you sign up. I went in for it and spent almost two hours telling them no I didn’t want a personal trainer. They pretty much gained up on me until I said yes. I told them my husband wants one but not me. So he was going to come in. And they said well can you call him? Like really you’re not more important than his job, which he had to walk out of just to call me back and deal with it while he was in training! They didn’t seem like they actually wanted to help out they seemed more into getting a sign up. They made me feel like not even coming to the gym to workout. I kept telling them I just wanted to be toned up and stay active and healthy and they were wanting to know my body goals, understandable question yes. But I said I was confident in myself already and the guy went on to say well if you looked like this maybe you’d wear more dresses, I already wear dresses and am very confident and comfortable with my body. I told them no FIVE times, when I said no not today the person I was talking to brought ANOTHER guy to keep asking me to sign up. I don’t appreciate them ganging up on me to sell a 12 month personal trainer, I said let me see my budget, let me talk to my husband, let me see why I can do personally. They just wouldn’t not take no for an answer. So all in all, they’re annoying. I don’t even want to go to the gym now. Where I work I get paid off commission too but I will not push someone to buy something if they tell me no, I always say ok maybe next time and guess what? I get repeat clients because of it. They made me feel stupid, uncomfortable and acted as though I wasn’t confident in myself. I ended up signing up for my husband, and he wasn’t EVEN THERE. When I told them my husband will come in and do this on his own since it’s for him. Like I said gym is good, but the trainers just want that money, but now I’m signed up for a year for my husband and can’t do anything about it. Went in for an assessment and came out 239 dollars short because they wouldn’t take no for an answer. I’m a nice person and don’t usually leave terrible reviews about this kind of stuff. But that is ridiculous and they shouldn’t take advantage of people like that.

This gym is dirt cheap, but that’s the only good thing about it. There are no contracts but good luck being able to quit. They say you have to hand write a letter to their corporate office and you will have to pay for the entire rest of the months, as well as the next because it takes 30 days to “process.” Of course that’s just a scam but that’s not the worst part. Even if you jump through all these hoops they will still never cancel it. The only way to cancel is to call you back and blacklist them. Since they do this all the time they are listed as scam company by the banks and your bank can see this. They will blacklist them with no questions asked. This still isn’t the end of the process. Now they will start calling you and threatening to put this on your credit. Which is not only illegal but impossible. Don’t let these idiots lie to you. If you can record them say they will do this you can send that to the BBB. Keep in mind by this point it’s easy to have a $500 bill because they will add fees. So your bill should be $20 if you even want to say they are correct with taking two months to cancel your membership, but they will then add $480 in fees to that and threaten you with it. That’s just one of the many problems. If you have kids you need to pay close attention to the people who work in the daycare area. There was a child molester working there. Multiple people told the GM. The GM was too caught up with pushing his horrible supplements. In the long run you need to stay away from this place. In their 3-4 years in existence there have had 4 staphylococcal outbreaks. It’s just a gross place and the workers don’t care at all. They’ll have 15 ppl on the floor and 14 of them just walk around and harassing and any woman who has a pulse. I’ve seen them bother 15 year old girls for hours. It’s just disgusting

I love the location and the look and the initial customer services was great. But the price is just to much. Yes I under this is peak season to join but also I could easily go to another gym with same services for a lower rate. When I mention I'm in a budget. I'm sorry to sound whiny but don't just act all high an mighty as if I'm making a bad decision for not shelling out money to you. You immediately expect me to join the higher monthly rate for the lower enrollment when I want the lower monthly rate but unfortunately I'll have to pay a really high enrollment fee. Sorry but I declined all together

Love the gym and location. It is a little packed, but my main reason for giving this gym such a low rating is how ridiculous the cancellation fee is. Originally I was not wanting to cancel, but to freeze my account since I’m pregnant and due pretty soon, that alone was difficult, they need my doctor to write them a letter letting them know I’m pregnant when you can clearly see I am. That with cancellation is just ridiculous and will end up canceling my membership. Would not recommend.

Things you should know before signing up:Facts:- $10/month promotional offer is not really a promo, it's just the norm.- There's an additional $40/year gym fee, which is charged within first month.- There's an enrollment fee.- There's a fee for using gyms at other locations.- You can't cancel your membership in person.- You can't cancel your membership on the phone.- If you want to cancel then you have to write a letter and send it via certified mail to some place in Webster, TX.- You'll be charged for an additional month of membership after cancellation.- Your info will be sent to collectors if that last charge isn't paid for.Observations:- Overcrowded- Members don't have a culture of wiping after using equipment.

Worst customer service I've ever seen at a gym. Yes the gym looks nice but my child was neglected in the day care and the employees do not pay attention to the kids at all. We stopped going after 2 days because my wife was harnessed by employees and other members and we felt unsafe for our daughter in the day car. When we comforted them about our problems they basically said oh well you signed a contract and we wont refund you money which is fine but now they are also charging us for another month and we cant even cancel in the gym. we have to write a letter and mail it in. Really?

The gym was fine and I had no issues with the on-site employees. However, their customer service ranks right up there with Comcast and AT&T. Worst customer service ever. I had my credit card stolen and cancelled (not their issue). When they ran the numbers for my monthly fee and it didn't clear, they double charged me for the late fee claiming their Bank charges film for the fee. That is a flat out lie as no bank charges for a credit card that can't be processed. I will never deal with these people again and I hope you never do.

This has been a good situation handled very poorly. They do not handle customers or money well and will charge you until you are blue in the face. There are so many hidden fees that our sales guide completely ignored telling us. I have been a member for two months on a $20/month plan, and I have paid $110 so far. They had an error with my bank and just charged more and more money. Then it is annoying to cancel your membership with at least 30 days notice and by old school letter. Be sure to get certified mail or they WILL claim they lost it (post office worker said she sees membership cancel letters very frequently). The facilities themselves are fine, no more crowded than a normal gym. Does not have a pool. If you go during prime gym hours (4:30-7:30) you absolutely will not find a parking space within a minute's walk. Cannot un-recommend enough. Any place would be an improvement.

When my wife discontinued her membership, she first call to let them know she was canceling. Then she wrote a letter to the corporate office & sent it certified mail. Even after all that they STILL billed our account for her & my stepson. When I contacted the corporate office, they said they had no record of her sending a certified letter & that she would have to send ANOTHER certified letter to cancel her membership. After hearing that I went down to my bank and paid $31.00 to put a stop payment on the automatic withdrawal. Once you set up a auto pay with Fitness Connection GOOD LUCK trying to cancel your membership! All in all a HORRIBLE experience with Fitness Connection. A very unprofessional way to run a business. I would not recommend them to anybody!

The price is affordable and the gym has pretty much the basics. But there customer service is the worst! Customer service is always a hassle! I cancled my member ship and they still changed me the annual fee because apparently you have to give a 3 month notice so you don't get charged. Even though I am no longer a member of the gym. Seriously? Don't sign up it's a waste of your time.
