I did a 6 months Ultra Body Fitness membership and I canceled with my written notice only to still be charged an extra month because it was a day late. It is a hassle to cancel with them. I do not recommend this gym at all. They also hassle you alot to sign up for extra memberships. The only people that I had a great experience with is 2 trainers (Stacey and KT).

Rep begged us to sign and we did. I have regretted it ever since. My friend broke his ankle on the basketball court due to never cleaning the floor. The floor is very slippery. I went their one time since I signed and that was enough to cancel. Cancellation has been the biggest pain. I sent a letter in the mail to cancel and they tell me “they never received it”. Now I owe over 300 dollars and I have visited this gym one time. Absolutely ridiculous. This gym will take your money and make the cancellation very complicated. Stay away from this gym. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Absolute garbage. Now I am familiar with Fitness Connection’s cancellation policy. It’s grimy and annoying but I can get past it. What I can’t get past is being lied to. I signed up with the intention of using an upright bike in the women’s area. I am working out for stress reduction and to feel better. Losing weight isn’t necessarily my focus because it will come. I made that clear to the associate who signed me up. He assured me they had the equipment and it wouldn’t be a problem. Well turns out they don’t even have that equipment I wanted in the women’s area. They only have it on the main floor where only ONE of the many bikes have straps. I asked about getting a bike moved into the women’s area and about getting stamps put on. I basically got the run around (“I need to ask such and such person” etc). I came in for the third or fourth time today after not hearing back from them. They said they are not able to move the bike. The entire reason I joined the gym was to use the bike in the women’s area. I paid a portion of the enrollment fee and they won’t give it back. Now I’m out $50. I don’t remember the name of the associate who signed me up but the manager I spoke with as Asher. Apparently there is some 3 day cancellation period which no one told me about (no surprise there) despite the fact that I made it clear the day I signed up and discovered I was lied to I would cancel if I could not get my requests granted. As well as I asked for my money back within the grace period (unbeknownst to me) and got the run around. So they lied to me and took my money. They’ve got the wrong one if they think they’ll get another cent out of me. They’re just slimy. The sad thing is, I am in the wellness field (massage therapy) and personal training is something I am interested in. I was also interested in utilizing their classes especially yoga and spin but they truly left a bad taste in my mouth. I’ll stick with Planet Fitness and take classes elsewhere. Thanks but no thanks.

Okay gym, however cancelling is a JOKE! I did personal training for 6 months and it was decent. However when I signed up, I signed the contract for 6 months and specifically asked them to make sure it wasn't set up to auto renew. On the last day of training I talked with my trainer and the guy who signed me up and they said everything was good to go. However the next month they still charged my card. When I called and asked why they said that I had to send a written letter to the gym requesting cancellation. (who writes written letters anymore?) But, not only do you have to write and mail the letter, you have to mail it to their corporate office is FLORIDA!! Even though I caught it quickly, they will not refund my card. Both my trainer and the guy who set up the account knew that it was my last day but never mentioned that I needed to send the written letter. I'm fine sending a letter, but the fact that they hid that from me, knowing I'd still get charged is slimy.

I rarely write reviews but I decided to post because this gym does not get enough positive reviews. I’ve been a member for a while now and I have had zero issues. Their cycling classes have come so far and are on par with places like soul cycle. Their staff is always friendly. It’s super clean and they have amazing amenities. Huge value for the money. I have no intention of canceling but even if I did their cancellation process and similar to many other places and if you get billed an extra month...it’s $10. I blow through that easy on many things that aren’t as much value as this. If you go during peak hours it’s crowded but it’s not as bad as people have described it’s a very large facility. As far as parking goes you came for a workout what’s a short walk to the building? And if crowds aren’t your thing switch up your workout time to the morning. I love fitness connection and thank you to you customer service team!

To be fair, these guys are pushy on sales because they have ridiculous sales quotas to make to keep their job. It’s a good gym for the price ($10/month plus tax, $10.83) and an annual fee of $39.99. They have a 30 day cancellation notice, so be aware of that and you’d need to mail your cancellation notice in certified. No big deal. It’s a large gym, lots of equipment, and there cleaning supplies to clean up your machines before you use them after somebody else did. A bit of extra effort needed on the gym users part, but shoot for $10/month I could live with these issues. If you want a luxury gym then go across the street and pay $30+ monthly at 24hour or Lifetime Fitness. For the price, and amenities, this gym is worth the $10/month.

The gym staff are real friendly when they are trying to get you to join, they build up the gym. I join two month later I get an $43 annual fee and I've only been a member for less than two month. After talking to the staff they all tell you that's the way it is and if you don't like it cancel your membership, but we are going to keep your money. That's in the contract we hide from you. Same with the corporate office as well. So, if you join April 11th and pay the registration fee on the 15th you will be charged another $43 annual feeIf you must go with them; open your eyes for the scam

Gym is pretty good for the price but cancellation process is absolutely ridiculous. They made me give 30 day notice by MAILING a letter with my name and member number. They clearly have purposely gone out of their way to make it difficult to cancel and that alone is frustrating and tacky enough for me to never give a 5 or even 4 star review.

Two words; Stay away. Except you plan to stay indefinitely, do not sign up with them. Now the location is itself isnt bad. This review is strictly about fitness connection as a corp. They make you literally MAIL in a request to cancel your membership. It’s 2018. Like, really, 2.0.1.8. I honestly don’t even know what stamps look like anymore. Kidding. But it’s an unnecessary hassle. You also stand the chance of them saying they didn’t receive the cancellation. All the while though, you’re being charged. It’s easy to sign up. But frustrating to get out. That’s the catch. For you to put off canceling the account until you realize you haven’t been to the gym in a year, cause your new apartment gym is so all kinds of awesome, but you’ve been getting changed for the past year.Stay away... except you plan to stay for a while, then it’s a pretty good gym. Love the rackett ball court

I signed up for a membership over a year ago. I may have used it 3 times within the first 2mnths. I contacted fitness connection customer service to cancel. This was around November of 2017. They told me to mail a letter in with the reason why I wanted to cancel and sign it. I did that. I look up July of 2018 and realize I’m still being charged. I contact my local fitness connection asking why I’m being charged. He stated that I need to write a letter again. State I’m canceling do to non usage. I did that In July 2018. I’m checking my acct again and see that fitness connection has still been charging me. When I clearly haven’t used their services. I also requested it to be cancel twice many months apart and they are still charging. At this point I feel like I’m being robbed. I want to stop being charged and refunded for all the payments. I haven’t used their services. The staff is rude with trying to cancel services. They act like you owe them.
