TRC is the best place to climb in NC. They have facilities all over the triangle in Raleigh, Morrisvilleand Durham. They offer free events and classes to members. Membership is around $90 per month, the couple’s membership is slightly discounted per person. I prefer the Morrisville one over the Raleigh one because of the more beginners friendly bouldering wall. It’s very hard to find parking if you come here after work. I often have to park at the Trader Joe’s across the street.

Friendly staff, great place to climb solo or with friends! Nice that members get a monthly guest pass, too!

I really like this gym, the only thing that I have a problem with is the lack of parking in the evenings. It can get extremely crowded around that time, with many climbers having to park on the side of the road or across the street.

Stephanie at the front desk was super helpful and friendly. Got my kids and I squared away and taught the belay class for me while manning the front.

It was a good first time for climbing after not climbing for 25 years. It was a little crowded for me, but everyone seemed very nice.

Where to start. Firstly, I have an issue with face coverings while working out. IFace mask causes decrease oxygen, increases carbon dioxide and heart rate. Yes, one of the purposes of doing cardio is to elevate the heart rate, the normal way, not with the help of the mask. Surgical masks are only good for 20-30 minutes post wearing because sweat and respiratory droplets make them ineffective. Children are low transmitters of the virus, then why am I seeing them with mask on, doing physical activities at the gym?How many people really wear mask correctly? For the N95 mask, healthcare workers have to be fit tested to make sure there is very low to absent penetration. I can’t even do yoga nor any other cardio workout at the gym because, you guessed it, mask! What is next? Vaccine passport? The route setters at the gym, Josh and Glen, are more worried about me not wearing a mask, than doing their job, which is, setting routes. By all means, people who believe in wearing a mask while working out should wear them, but leave the people alone who don’t wear them.

It was my first visit. It was fun even I didn't climb far on the black beginner route. The staff was nice and helpful.

Routes are a great mix, some technical, some power, laybacks, roofs, etc. Good for both buddy and solo climbing. And showers, for those of us who come over from work for a lunchtime workout. Much appreciated.
