24 Hour Fitness at 589 Anton Blvd, Costa Mesa, CA, offers a round-the-clock gym experience catering to various fitness needs. The gym features a three-lane indoor pool, diverse workout equipment, and ample space across three floors. However, multiple reviews highlight significant concerns about cleanliness, maintenance, and overall organization. Friendly and helpful staff stand out positively, yet the operational shortcomings often overshadow these aspects.

The facility's major challenges include equipment disrepair and poor hygiene in restrooms and locker rooms. Additionally, the parking situation of limited two-hour validation adds to the inconvenience. While the location is convenient for many, ensuring the gym remains clean and well-maintained would greatly enhance the member experience.

  • Open 24 hours.
  • Diverse workout equipment.
  • Three-lane indoor pool.
  • Spacious facility across three floors.
  • Friendly and helpful staff.
  • Good place for early morning workouts.
  • Easy to use and understandable equipment.
  • Convenient for late-night sessions.
  • Validation for parking available.
  • Dedicated and caring personnel.

Cons:

  • Poor cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Limited two-hour parking validation.

They have paid parking and only validate your parking for 2 hours, it forces you to have to speed through your workouts.I was informed the leasing contract between the MET AKA (PR II/MCC SOUTH COAST PROPERTY OWNER LLC) and 24 hour fitness states that parking is to remain "unobstructed" at all times. This means the the MET is in violation of their leasing contract. I say we petition to get the parking barriers remediated. If this is the case the MET has gone about their business in a durressed manor and should be held accountable for their bullying actions immediately!!! I hope the owner or someone who is in management from 24 hour fitness see's this, please reach out to me. I have been in Real estate for 14 years and would be happy to offer my legal council to you free of charge. Also If we get the parking barriers remediated I will delete my one star review and give 5 stars, however something must be done.

James Woody is the perfect gate keeper for thatGym in the late hours. He shines above and beyond with customer service and cleansingness. Five stars for him and the club

Great place to work out, after 1am & on Sundays. Not as busy!

Came into for a trial to see if I wanted to join and was disappointed. Entire gym was in disarray. Free weights were scattered all over the gym and it was impossible to find anything. Equipment offering was great.

So glad to read reviews like this ahead of time. My experience only goes as far as getting ready to buy a membership online, but thankfully, I read these reviews first. Althought management thanks everyone for the feedback and repeats what they strive for, there doesn't appear to be any improvement, infact it seems to be getting worse. Its a shame, its a convenient locations for me, and has decent ammenities.

The gym basically has everything you need for your workout. However, the place is incredibly disorganized. Dumbbells are all over the place. No one re-racks their weights properly. The culture is off here. Wouldn’t recommend.

Why do the employees not rack the weights? We could have the member argument here, but that's futile. One would believe it's part of the job description to tidy up the gym a bit. Pretty clean as far gyms go, also nice that this 24hr, is actually 24 hours, unlike the others in the area.

Plays music that has vulgar lyrics. Jacuzzi tiles missing on the bottom 16 if them vert sharp. Shower's need disinfecting. One of two sets of drinking fountains none working

One of the only two water fountains on the 2nd floor has been out of commission for about a month. One of the only two 45° leg press machines was broken for over 2 months before being fixed. There is a severe shortage of 10lb plates for some reason, and no bar clamps at all, so be prepared to bring your own.

Been coming here for the past 15 years. Not my main gym but this place has really gone down. Bathrooms are horrible, cycling equipment doesn’t have batteries, it’s dirty, even their staff apologizes to you for the condition of their gym.
