24 Hour Fitness at 589 Anton Blvd, Costa Mesa, CA, offers a round-the-clock gym experience catering to various fitness needs. The gym features a three-lane indoor pool, diverse workout equipment, and ample space across three floors. However, multiple reviews highlight significant concerns about cleanliness, maintenance, and overall organization. Friendly and helpful staff stand out positively, yet the operational shortcomings often overshadow these aspects.

The facility's major challenges include equipment disrepair and poor hygiene in restrooms and locker rooms. I gave an extra star because the front desk staff is friendly and helpful but this gym is DIRTY. With all the bad reviews on Yelp you think Corporate would have scheduled a professional cleaning company by now. I'm surprised they would allow this gym get this bad as it could lead to people getting sick.

Came to this location twice this week since it's closer to my work than my normal 24 hour fitness. I was hoping that the dirtiness that I saw the first time around was a fluke and that they would have it cleaned the second. Nope. Trash and spilled liquids ALL OVER the floor of the men's locker room. Dirty bathrooms. Just a general need for someone to mop and scrub the lockers down. Please get some more janitorial staff. I worry about getting an infection at this location.

Yesterday went to this gym for water therapy, was pretty excited finally approved by my employer. I’ve never been to this gym, or any other 24 hour Fitness-make no mistake I would never pay for this gym membership after what I witnessed! The pool area is accessible thru both women’s & men’s locker rooms, but the actual workout floor is too! Members were entering both steam/dry saunas in full workout outfits, including shoes then going to workout-all hot & sweaty! One guy went from steam to dry sauna kicked off his shoes & jumped in the pool! Yes, he didn’t shower just enjoyed himself splashing around & sharing his disgusting sweat w/all of us in the pool! Absolutely Disgusting! 24 hour Fitness you don’t deserve any stars, actually minus 5 stars would be correct!

Daniella in the front was rude, unprofessional, and failed to deliver excellent customer service. She talked poorly about the staff of another 24 hour gym and when I told her that was rude her response was “no it wasn’t” in a very condescending tone. She was incapable of understanding that as a long time gym member I’m aware of the policies and I didn’t intend on breaking any of them. No where in the policies does it state that I needed to have a card on file to have a membership. Especially since when I started this membership I had no card at all. Paid all cash when I signed up. It’s never been a problem. Till now. I think I’ll stick to my home gym where the staff actually cares and is willing to communicate. Also this place is especially dirty, spoke to someone cleaning and they said they only come once a day. That’s gross

I just wanted to give Walter a shout out, I have been a member of 24 hr fitness my whole life. I've been a very loyal client for over a decade. Recently I found myself in very tough life circumstances, I lost my job, I lost my significant other and to top it off, the excellent deal I use to get at Costco was no longer being offered (first world problems, I know). But, honestly the gym was keeping me from unraveling! I say all that to say this I came into this location and explained my situation to Walter and he went above and beyond for me, he made me feel like loyalty means something still to 24 fitness. It was reassuring to know that when the chips are down there are Walters and companies like 24 hr fitness who simply say "I got you" Thank you!

The only gym I know that requires you to validate for parking. My last visit my ticket wasn’t processing so it took me awhile to exit. Besides that, the staff and facility is great!

Staff is amazing !!The gym should hire a cleaning crew to clean and not have your own employees clean after us gym users. There’s some gym people that are disgusting especially in the bathroom and it’s sad to see the staffs having to deal with that.Bathroom are disgusting, it should be clean daily especially the showers.A sign should be up all around the gym reminding users to put dumbbells or anything they use back where it belongs.I’ve been to different 24 hours fitness and it’s the same thing with the dirty bathroom and showers

Recently stopped by to check out the gym. Their trial passes registration ends at 5pm here but they don't tell you, not a big deal slightly inconvenient . Still it's 3 floors, it must be worth it right? When I got to work out I realized how disgusting the facility is. It's so hot in here, within 5 minutes I was completely dripping in sweat. I don't usually sweat much, but the AC doesn't work well, it's so hot, musty, and smelly. I normally wouldn't mind, but as I glanced at the floors you could see the months of sweat layered into the floors, the grime that was caked on the ground made me want to gag. It's a 24 hour location, I have a feeling no matter what time you go you'll never catch anyone cleaning. It's so uncomfortable working out in this environment even if the equipment is decent. People don't even wipe down their station after they use it, and weights are just thrown around so disorganized. Avoid, or go in for the trial pass first to witness it first hand. I'm not exaggerating.

They will never learn !! Want to charge me $47 to work out at the top of parking garage !! 😷, what a joke , + $1.50 parking fees after two hours , that’s why they are bankruptcy, I will go to any fitness club and pay top $30 and get amazing service and access to everything, I can’t believe again $47 to wait in line and work out in the top of parking garage .
