I have never been a gym person but can do yoga or walk for hours. Finally decided to give Orangetheory a try and workout differently. It has been a great experience experience, the coaches and staff is great and I am seeing results as well..

I love that there is so much variety in the workouts we do. I am a raging fan, going to the studio almost every day and I am never bored. The coaches are awesome and willing to help with your form and technique. To me, this is one of the huge benefits of belonging to the Orange Theory Fitness family versus going to a gym on my own. Working out with other members gives me more motivation to give my all and push myself to new levels. I like the challenges and the benchmarks OTF provides and the music is a treat.

I signed up for a free trial to explore OTF and enjoyed the classes. The instructors were great, and towards the end of my trial I decided to enroll as a member at this studio. Management was very quick to sign me up and take my payment. That same day, I mentioned the cost of my membership to a friend who is a member at another OTF studio and he mentioned the pricing I had been given was much higher than what he pays. I decided to call around to other OTF studios in the area, and sure enough the pricing I had been charged was much higher than rates at other studios. I called the studio back to see if they could price-match and was told that this wasn't possible - and the reason why other studios have lower rates is because they studio is small and don't have 'good instructors.' I decided I would rather enroll elsewhere, and so the very next day asked the studio manager (Jaide Burns) to cancel my membership. Jaide told me that they would be able to take care of the same since this was within the studio's 3-day cancellation grace period. I was asked to fill out and sign a form and get that back over to management, which I did, and was told my payment would be refunded to me. It has been 48 days (!!!) since I signed my cancellation form - I am still waiting to see my refund. I have called the studio well over TEN times to try to get a hold of management - but have either been made to wait on hold (for over 15 mins) before the line is disconnected, or been told I will receive a call back (still waiting) and have had zero updates from the studio. I am beyond frustrated and honestly shocked at how responsive the team were when they were trying to get me signed up as a member - and the absolute lack of response when it comes to getting me back my refund. This experience has not only guaranteed that I will never return to this studio or recommend it to others, but turned me off the entire OTF brand. The management at this club is terrible. There are a ton of other great studio options in the Addison area that won't fleece you like this.
