Gold's Gym, Wedgewood

Love this gym. Wouldn’t switch up to any other spot. Full access to all machines. Never have to wait long for a machine to open up. Very clean. Although some gym members still have difficulty picking up after themselves here n there. Staff is great! Always welcoming.

Unfortunately El Paso still does not have a lot of good gym options, so Gold gets a lot of members... Which is by no way due to its quality!Gym is often going through maintenance and they fail to inform their members about it...Looking forward to try Crunch and cancel my membership with Gold.

Great gym and equipment. I only gave it 4 stars and not 5 because the lockers in the locker rooms are small and flimsy.

When Gold’s Gym first open it was open 24/7 so you had 168 hours a week to choose when to work out, including weekends. Then they started closing dow a few hours each night, then they shorten Saturday hours, and then shorten Sunday hours even more. Now they are open for 99 hours a week. So their customers got less . Did they discount their memberships fees to reflect the cut of service? No. During CovID they cut services even more, no more fitness classes but yet they charged the same amount . The final straw for me is when they shutdown completely during CovID and yet.. you guessed it, they continued charging me the same ..

Had been a member since this place opened on Wedgewood was great place the best. Yes was just cancelled my membership after it closed down due to some damage due to flooding or something like that. I totally understand things happen and repairs have to be done but 1 week 2, 3 etc etc I tried to wait but now not even getting an update we customers deserve!? All they say go to the Eastside. Do you guys even know how far the Eastside and what a huge inconvenience that is to a lot of us? I am very disappointed and had to cancel!

Awesome Gym! Glad it's open again. Cant wait to go back when my contract is over with other gym that I had to get when this Gold's Gym on Wedgewood closed for 8 months.

Front desk very helpful and friendly. One item for improvement is having the speaker music volume much lower. Having to have my own personal headphone volume very loud to overcome gym speaker volume. This damaging my hearing potentially. Most all clients in gym with same setup with own headphones so not anyone really listening to gym speaker music. Too music is very individualized so please could have gym music much lower.

This location hasn’t been open for months. Social media stated that due to “global supply chain” issues, they are still waiting. Meanwhile, El Paso has welcomed thousands of new homes and businesses in the same time period with virtually no issues.This ownership has charged the same rate for less hours and one less location for two years with no indication there will be improvement. Buyer/ member beware.

Don't go to this gym, after 12 months of contract, they continue to ask for a payment month by month, then why is contract for? they closed one of the gyms without previous advise and they still want you to pay after an expired 12 months contract this never happened before beware I feel stolen. EP fitness and planet fitness never did this ever, don't go to gold gym liars. Over that they ask you to pay or they harrass you saying they will send your account to their legal team ridiculous beware if this people. And you say you don't agree I am not the only complain about that, get what people signed 12 months and stop it, of course I am not lying and instead of saying you don't agree change and stop abusing it's true.

Recently, a pipe burst here at this location. Leaving me heartbroken and counting down the days I can step foot in here again. Dramatic, yes! lol but it's not far from the truth. Since this gym is temporarily closed, I have been forced out of my comfort zone, exploring other gyms around the city. Let me just say one thing, Tony, has us so spoiled. He is the custodian/handyman of this location and keeps the place pristine! With the pandemic, his tireless cleaning only increased. This man has made me feel protected in a way that I was not conscious of before. Now that i have had to explore other gyms, I am noticing the lack of organization and cleanliness in other places. Tony takes so much pride in his work, this goes without saying. All you have to do is visit this particular location. You will see for yourself!Overall, I am so please with the amount of equipment, the amount of space and of course, how tidy this gym is. The environment is also great! The members are always very friendly. I would never go anywhere else!Been here since 2016 and I do not plan on leaving anytime soon!Tony, thank you so much for everything you do!
