Gold's Gym Tierra Este

I came here from overseas expecting quality because of this being the best rated Gym in the area.There is a lot of equipment, but most cable machines are tired and inconsistent. Many machines felt worn out. I am disappointed that my gym did not have towels, weight clips, juice/protein bar, or a sauna.Parking is good. Place is clean.Saving grace here is that the employees were all personable. Never had an issue there.

Clean and spacious facility (including restroom). Quality exercise equipment available. Would recommend!

The gym itself is clean, spacious and has plenty machines to use. Some are broken and have been for a while (elliptical that broke on 8/15 for example). But that can happen and sometimes replacement parts are hard to find or just take some time to ship. What bothers me is the staff up front. I’m the late afternoons. Nobody says hi, they are only on their phones. I work in customer service myself and have worked at a gym for several years in my early twenties and that would be a reason for me to get in a lot of trouble. They seem like they don’t want to be there at all and gym members bother them. That’s why I took the one star away. Other than that it has been great coming here

I’ve been a member at this location for almost 2 years and i rarely miss payments.I recently misplaced my debit card and was not able to change my information causing my payment to be late by not even one full day. After my workout i asked the nice lady up front to change my information and she was kind enough to do so.However she informed me of a late fee in addition to my monthly due, which i understand. She also stated that the late fee applies the next day or even the same day. However, being a former employee of a gym, our late fees wouldn’t take effect until at least a week later. Mind you we used the same software AND we’d at least waive it (because life happens sometimes you know?) unless payments weren’t made for months or it’s a consistent issue.Not great for member retention! $20 late fee (~$60 total) “same day” is ridiculous..

Biggest issue - they don’t take care of their treadmills or the machines are trash. Either way, they shutoff mid-run, and at full speed, it is a safety issue. Someone may get hurt if they don’t get oiled properly and supplied to the correct power source.

The have very few, small ceiling fans that are placed terribly and weren't even on when it was 106 degrees outside.The cardio machines are lined against the window and it's the hottest part of the gym.

I love this gym, but only one person can be in the sauna . This is one of the reasons I got a membership here cause of the sauna. I have limited time before I have to leave , waiting on someone over 15 min is so inconvenient.

Increase my membership twice in less than a year 😠. First two sinks have been out of order for more than two months 😔. The only two bench press machines they have are are all unbalanced,🤦. Sometimes the front desk is unattended for a long time . Specifically on Sundays. …
