The gym is simple - not a lot of flash and extras. If you want a place to lift and do some cardio it works. The rowers are lacking, the treads are old, the carpet by free weights is buckling and there is even a hole under the carpet. Hand weights can be spread over the gym - upstairs, not put back, even class. The price is about right for the amenities.

overall a good place, just one comment to the management team. I find it very stupid to not let people use the punching bag, I think they should get more punching bags and let the customers use them. it is not like they don't make any money anyways. If they don't do this there will be a lot of people moving to GB3 including myself.

Good gym. Lousy management. If u wanna cancel your account u must do it more than 30 days in advance. This is so they can charge you an extra month. They lied to me and overdrafts my account. Also failed to notate my account so i got over drafted again. I hate this place billing process.

The gym is nice. Staff mood can shift, depending on who's in, which can definitely be a bummer. This gym needs another complete Dumbbell set of Dumbbells below 50. Along with more benches and cable machines. As big as the gym is, it gets overcrowded by the Dumbbell and bench area. Another thing I dislike about fitness evolution is their change in group activities. Their used to be free classes. Now it's not even offered. Just evofit which you have to pay for. So really, there is no point in paying for premium anymore.

Doesn't take cash and demands an automatic debit. Couldn't use my debit card they wanted my bank account number. This defeats the purpose of the "no commitment" advertising. I told them I just wanted the beginner package and they kept trying to sell me the premium platinum pass. I won't come here again.

Came in tonight to workout and got kick off a mechine in the "evo fit" area. I pay over $50 for me and my girlfriend and I can't used a mechine in the area where they do the evo fit classes. It's not like I'm joining the classes or interrupting the class. It was late and no one was around. Simply just wanted to do some quick rows only. Do not recommend this gym. It's a damn gym! Why can't we use the mechine in it?!?!

It took 3 times and 3 months to take visitor privileges off my account and they didn't refund any of the money. It's an okay gym overall, but they people there are not uniformly top-notch.

I signed up at the location on Maroa and Shields and all of the people were very friendly there. They said to get set up with a smart start appointment which I thought was a meeting where you sit down and talk about your goals, not a training. I asked specifically at the first location, "will I be shown how to use equipment" and they said "it's more about nutrition and your goals". Okay cool. I got to the location on Herndon and first for my smart start appointment, and the people at the front desk were rude understaffed and too busy to help me. The first guy said "do you have a quick question I'm with a client" and I said I just have an appointment with randy, and he said ok sit down. I waited and randy came out at told me that no one even told him I was there. He looked at me up and down and said did you bring any workout clothes? And I said no I was told that this is just a meeting about my goals and a fitness plan on how I intend to reach them. And he gave me a dirty look and said ok follow me. His personable skills are very low and it seems to me like he has no real interest in being nice to the guests at the gym, even when there was a miscommunication. No one told me what this appointment was going to be from his location and he then compared me to the girls he had just trained right before me. That they came prepared, but I did come prepared for the appointment that I thought I was getting myself into. Now I have to go back and give him a 2nd chance for a different smart start appointment where hopefully he'll give off a better second impression than he did the first. If this gym membership wasn't a gift I would have terminated it today before I left, so hopefully my next experience is better than the one I had.

They broadened my expectations of what I thought poor customer service is. The only consistent aspect of this gym is that there will always be someone complaining about the hidden charges on their bill. Its truly stunning how employees simply do not care about the customers. I feel so bad for people touring the gym and do my best to inform them of how bad it is. They transformed the gym to make it a smaller place where the majority of the gym is LOCKED and reserved for EVOFIT classes. Best part, no matter what membership you purchase, YOU WILL ALWAYS PAY MORE FOR THE EVOFIT CLASSES. There used to be yoga, spin, swim, zumba, etc that were included in gym membership. AS OF TODAY, THOSE ARE ALL CANCELLED.The craziest part about this all is that I don't even have to pay for my membership and I will opt to pay to go to another gym. I was gifted a year membership because a group of friends and I were treated so poorly by staff. I was hoping it was a rogue trainer. Instead, its the whole company. No interest in having any dialogue with you, only selling you.Think of the movie/play "Glengarry Glen Ross" but with trainers selling you on programs with hidden cost.p.s. Shout out to all the people who have worked their a week or two only to have their soul crushed by the employee atmoshpere. I have always been happy to see the good employees go, because there are jobs, places to work that ARE SO MUCH BETTER THAN THIS!

I applied to this gym and apparently they 'lost' my resume. It took me 5 days just to get into contact with management (trying to check the status of application) when they told me the aggravating news that "your resume isn't in our binder". Sadly, they lack organizational and procedural skills, which is a management problem in designing proper training for staff. Will not apply here ever again for it was a waste of time and effort.
