05/16/2017, Being a new customer, I walk up to the counter looking to get more information about Planet Fitness and maybe looking to become one its member. One of the first staff I walk up to "Guy" was busy sharing his life story with another co-worker knowingly I stood there patiently. About five minutes later, he finally acknowledges me by saying "what do you need"? I said to myself, are you serious? What kind of customers’ service and type of peoples are they're hiring at this gym? However, I was treated nicely by young lady “staff members” who gave me a walkthrough, and she did a fantastic job. Even though, I was still bothered how the way I was treated from the first approach. Thus, I decided with a different gym.

Super upset by the customer service this gym provided on 04/05. I have been going to planet fitness for over 3 years and occasionally I bring my 14 year old brother with me as a guest. I've just recently started going to south lakeland gym and decided to bring my 16 year old sister as my guest instead of my brother this time. The staff member that helped me scan my key chain said that my sister couldn't be my guest without a photo id. I stated that she doesn't drive and I can provide a high school id with her picture but the member refused to accept that because it didn't have her age. She had the nastiest attitude and asked me if I had her birth certificate with me. I immediately said that I did not because why would I have a birth certificate with me at 8pm while I am going to the gym, plus there isn't a photo attached to a birth certificate. I explained that my brother is 14 and signedup as my guest at the north lakeland gym and I didn't need to go through this hassle. She rudely stated that my sister couldn't go in. She then asked if there was any kind of social media that had my sisters birthday on it and I again said there was not because my brother and sister share their social media. The staff member had the most unpleasant face in the world. She was argue-mental, rude and displeased that I was explaining that my sister is only 16 years old without a permit or drivers license. The staff member then turns to the side pointing at a posted sign stating that guest need a photo id to enter. I then explained that I can provide her high school id that shows her face and name stating that she was who she was but the member did not care nor wanted to help.Truthfully I am so disgusted with planet fitness. The worst experience I've ever had with them. I will not be recommending this gym and I will be contacting corporate as well as the Better Business Bureau.

Staff is friendly and helpful! The gym has never been crazy busy when I've been there. The locker rooms and gym are always clean.The equipment looks clean and in good repair.

I love this place . people are great you walk in they say hello have a good workout and when you leave they say have a good day ! Its clean inside and never had a problem with the tanning beds . keep up the good work staff !!!

This is one of the very first planet fitness's I ever walk into because of this Planet Fitness made me go to my home gym in Fresno California and sign up for a Planet Fitness account and it's been about 2 years and I'm finally going to return go to get a good workout tonight can't wait to go back to the gym this gym is awesome

I love the way the place is set up with tvs on all treadmills and bikes. Staff is all very friendly and anytime im there they are always cleaning. They always greet you when u come in and leave. Its a wonderful gym. I love it

Large, clean and friendly. Machines maintained well and they have every machine available at PF. Lots of options on types of workout and personal fitness guidance. My only negative is that sometimes I go to use the red light or hydromassage and they forget to start it. I usually just leave instead of asking again.

I enjoy going to this gym. This is where I chose to start working out again after not being a member of a gym for 14 years. My favorite staff member is Angel. She always greets me with a smile.I love the hydro bed! I wish I had one at home.

When we signed up we specially asked if my wife child bring my daughter who is 12. We explained she would not be working out that she would be waiting in the lobby while my wife worked out as we do not leave her at home by herself. The guy that signed us up told us that was fine as long a she stayed in the lobby and did not go into the equipment area. My wife went 3 to 5 times a week for over 2 months with no problems, our daughter waited in the lobby as we were told would be OK. We went in today and there was a guy told us she could not be in the gym period it was in there insurance that she wasn't allowed to be in the facility. We both said that the guy who signed us up told us she could wait in the lobby. His explanation was the guy that signed us up was new and he didn't know. We told him we had been coming in for 2 months and no one had said anything about it. He says I'm sorry we don't allow it. We said then we want to cancel we were told 58 dollars per membership to cancel. Finally after arguing with the guy he calls his manager who is not there, he allowed cancellation. He even looked at how many times she had been in over the last 2 months and said the other people did know. Kinda funny how every other employees did not know. Guy was just being a jerk to put it nicely. This place is a joke. Staff knows nothing is about as helpful as a rain suit in the desert.

Wasn't really a big fan of PF, until this one! Love the staff, always so friendly, and the girl who signed me up was super nice and explained everything so well, she was so good I was originally going to get the $10 a month but she convinced me that the black card was better for $20 and now I bring my sister in for free all the time! Thanks for the staff, I love it there especially the hydro bed lol :)
