I have not bought the membership due to my own financial conditions, but I truly loved the professionalism with which Kent was able to communicate with me! I really enjoyed the tour with Kent! He was very polite, knowledgeable, and a great person to talk to about the gym. He showed passion and care for me which I truly appreciate and value. And this makes me feel great about Planet Fitness because I was left with a great impression and memories. Thank you, Kent for your time and concern!

Love starting my journey back to good health after cancer and kidney disease. Only downside I can find is that the music is way too low at 6-6:30 a.m. (almost nonexistent), also I wish there was a personal trainer available early a.m. or evenings for those of us who work 7-5 and can't meet with one during business hours. I have no idea how to use the machines, so I'm relegated to only the treadmill. Overall, the gym itself is great and everyone there is nice. :-)

Great atmosphere but it is getting too crowded. No sauna. Pretty clean every time. Hand soap smells really nice😊 …

If I could give this location a zero I would! Avoid the South Florida planet fitness at all cost! They are incredibly rude, disrespectful and extremely entitled. They are taking advantage of customers during a global pandemic! Charging my bank account while I’m unable to use the gym due to COVID.

Probably the largest PF I have been to. Great staff and VERY clean environment. Im just visiting so I'm not sure if it's always like this, but this past week has been an extremely enjoyable experience.

This gym has the most positive reviews of any gym on the Southside of Lakeland. Planet Fitness is the fastest-growing gym franchise in America for a reason. This is a fun and friendly way to continue your gym habit or to start it. Staff is always present and willing to help you out. As someone who was a certified personal trainer, I can say this gym has more then what you need to train your body efficiently. They also have the cheapest of premium memberships coming in at 22.99/ to bring a guest while all other gyms around don't give that benefit until 24.95+. Only gym around with Hydromassage Beds and Massage Chairs. If you can land a membership while the special is going for no contract, you found the best deal there is.

So I joined planet fitness in January of 2020 and was charged a flat fee of $3 to join the gym. A few days later the $10 a month came out of my account which I was okay with assuming this was the charge for January. About a week afterwards before January came to an end I was charged another $10 unexpectedly and subsequently got charged a $30 overdraft fee by my bank. I called planet fitness asking about the new random charge and they claimed it was normal. So at this point I’ve gone to the gym twice and payed $53 dollars. In the middle of February I’m charged another $10 for the flat fee and I decided I didn’t have enough time to go anymore so I canceled at the end of February. March comes around and AFTER I canceled my membership I’m charged a $32 annual fee and the $10 March fee at the beginning of the month instead of the middle. I called furious and confused as I was no longer a member but Planet Fitness said I couldn’t “dodge” the annual fee so late into February. As someone who went 10 times in 2 months I ended up paying well over $100 and was refused a refund. Horrible experience. Horribly handled. Would not recommend.

Very clean, great employees, many exercise selections, great part of town

This is a great place to start your workout journey. It's always very clean and the employees are really nice and helpful. It can be quiet busy at times but there is usually enough workout equipment for everyone.

I like this gym. There is plenty of equipment and you don't feel rushed to get off cardio machines. The prices are good and there are no hidden fees. I wish there were some group fitness classes, but you know what you get/don't get when you sign up. I also wish more people wiped down their machines when they finished. This is gross and it grosses me out when they don't do it. I see it happen all of the time. I shower here in the morning before work. The facilities are clean for the most part, but I think the shower curtains aren't changed frequently. Overall, I think it is a nice gym with good equipment and locker room facilities. The price is also right.
