Excellent customer service and a great facility. Chas and his staff were welcoming and answered all my questions about the gym, membership, and more. It is a great gym environment, not too busy and an encouraging community.

I've been working out in my garage for the last couple of years and finally decided to join Genesis in hopes of rebuilding gym comradery. Best decision I've made in a while. Everyone has been very nice and inviting and it honestly already feels like home. Caitlyn Robb was my personal trainer and she is awesome. She paid attention to my weaknesses in flexibility and mobility and planned sessions to help with that. I highly recommend her as she is knowledgeable and very passionate about fitness. My only issue is my current budget doesn't allow for me to work with Caitlyn as much as I'd like to. She completely understood and assured me that her door would be open in the future.

Beware this gym!! Do not trust them with your credit/debit cards!! I attempted to pause my membership for the summer. Showed up in person like they require and knowing they were going to charge me for the next month because they ask 30 days advance notice. The following month came along and I had another charge from genesis. It shouldve been paused at this point. I called the manager, Chas. He was busy everytime I called. Id leave messages for him which were never returned. Finally I called to see if he was there. They said yes. I told them I was on my way. Suddenly he remembered to contact me thru the text relay they have. I told him I just wanted to cancel at this point. He said he would take of it. Two months of charges on a paused account now. He said it would be 7-10 business days before my refund showed up, so I didn't cancel my credit card, though I really felt like I should. Sure enough, 2 weeks later, no refund and another month of gym membership charge on my credit card. I gave up on Chas and the Lawrence location and am now going back and forth trying to find someone in the corporate offices to help. The people in their billing office quit in the afternoon and also never return phone calls so I might have to cancel my card anyway just to keep from losing more money. Definitely avoid this gym. Not a trustworthy business.

What a fantastic facility! My husband and I took a free tour of the club before deciding to join. Our tour guide, Nick, was so nice and personable! He took the time to get to know us and what was important to us on our health journey. I felt no pressure to sign up, and really appreciated getting a month-to-month plan with no contract or cancellation fees. There was a small issue where my last name was spelled incorrectly and I wasn't able to create an account with their online member portal. But after I called it was promptly addressed. Other then that, I haven't had any issues!

The staff here are so friendly, and the amenities are awesome. This is by far the best gym I’ve been to in a long time! Not to mention I went to their cinco de Mayo celebration and it was so well put together and very enjoyable! I recommend this gym all the way!

Run away.An AWFUL experience.Staff didn’t show for “free” appointment to get started in weight training. Charged me full membership fee anyway.I stopped payment from my bank account (I thought). Was slapped with a subpoena. Seriously.Run away. Just run away.

This club has a wonderful instructor teaching the Silver Sneakers class I attend 3 days a week. Her name is Monica Steinbach and she is the best instructor I've ever had (I've taken many other classes at other locations, none measure up to this one!). Her class is a good workout plus she makes it fun.

Very nice Gym, and health spa. It has wonderful amenities and is well worth the price. I wish I was staying in this area to continue to use this establishment. Also the people are friendly, helpful, positive, and most importantly non-judge mental. Such a great place.

Be careful of management. Scammed me out of the “first two months free” summer deal in 2021, will charge you for a month you won’t use because of extended notice, and add a $20 tip to any billing issues.The gym, equipment, and staff are nice however. I don’t see myself wanting to come back to this health club. Go to crunch or anything else that’s a third of the cost.

This has been the worst gym I have ever experienced! They keep taking money out of my bank after I cancelled my membership. When I can get a response from anyone, it seems to be lies. All of January, I was told my refund for the month was being worked on and then I still get charged for February. I gave written notice in November. December should have been the last time. Now I've been charged for January and February. This has been such a frustrating experience! I would highly recommend not joining this gym in Lawrence, ks!
