I don't understand why this location has good reviews. Bathroom and locker room not very clean. Dirty showers. No private dressing area in the locker room at all. The hydromassage can only be used for 5 minutes at a time, which is ridiculous. 6 also don't understand why the gym was dirty. There were at least 3 employees there and I did not see anyone cleaning.

Gym is ALWAYS clean. The staff is always friendly and will chat with you. Always helpful An have a smile. Great atmosphere and music :)

Cheap and efficient place to work out. Dumbbells are the only free weights. Can get really crowded between 5pm and 9pm so I usually avoid those times. Staff is nice

I wish that the early cancellation policy was clearly stated when signing up for a membership. It would also be nice if a policy was company wide. We went in to talk to a manager about cancelling a couple of nights ago, and were told that the cancellation fee would be waved. Instead, when we go in today to cancel we are told that we would have to pay a fee that we didn't know existed until today. If you're considering signing up for a membership at Planet Fitness, make sure to know what you're signing up for and ask about cancellation fees. It's such a shame that such shady and poorly managed companies (especially this location) become successful. One last note, I don't understand how this is considered a judgement free zone, when the entire premise of the business model ostracizes and alienates a group of people who aren't welcome at the gym. They even have their own definition of people that they don't allow in their "judgement-free" zone.As far as actual equipment is concerned, you've found your heaven on Earth if cardio is your thing. If actually working out with free weights is your thing, then go to the corner where the afterthought section exists.

The water is currently unexpectedly shut off which I get it, stuff happens. What is not ok is that fact that you can not use the bathroom, you can not wash your hands or drink from the water fountain and they are not giving any kind of water out! Being a gym and charging dehydrated people water, what do you want people to pass out? Biggest scam. On top of that they have a huge area closed with many machines not being accessible. Very disappointed.

Decent selection of cardio equipment from treadmills to ellipticals to stationary bikes. There's a decent selection for weight lifting, but not really enough machines and such to be your go-to place if you're there to build muscle. The staff is friendly, atmosphere is laid back. And the price is great.

I like that Planet Fitness is inexpensive, it's open 24 hours, it's CLEAN, the machines are in good shape and there are a ton of elliptical machines and treadmills. I also like the 30 minute circuit room that's separate from other weight machines. It'd be great if there was more space for free weights, as that area gets pretty crowded during peak times. And I really wish they had rowing machines. (maybe that's something they'll have in the future? I hope I hope) I also hope they open a second location somewhere in town, but even as it is now, it's leaps and bounds better, cleaner, nicer, and less judgemental than any of the multiple Bodyworks locations in town.

Planet Fitness is a great place to work out. The atmosphere and staff make it a pleasant place to work out. You can do your own thing or they have people who can help you out. The dressing facilities are always nice and you can even check in using your phone. 24/7 hours come in handy if you have to work late, or go in early, there is always a good time to get in a workout so no excuses. My husband and I have been members for a while, he even got a free month with the points you get for working out. Planet Fitness works for anyone!

Great spacious setup at Planet Fitness Lubbock! No lines, great, equipment, clean and friendly staff. There is no pool or spa; however, you can't beat the monthly membership dues and the ability to travel throughout most of the US and experience the privileges of the Black-Card membership perks!

I like that it is 24 hours a day. I feel like the motto of "no judgment" is appreciated by all who come there and I have felt at ease since my very first day. I also like the variety of machines that are available and even if it is very busy, there is always something I can work on. I am confident the positive attitude at the Lubbock location will inspire me to keep coming back!
