While the staff are very friendly, this facility is subpar compared to other Planet Fitness locations, for the same prices charged. It is smaller with less amenities and older equipment. For instance, this location has promised multiple times that they are receiving a hydromassage table, but it never comes. The facility is showing some wear and tear unlike other Planet Fitness locations. The tv's or the tv remotes frequently do not work. The internet works just well enough. This location can be busy during peak times such around 5 to 6 PM, but accommodating during off-peak hours.

The staff is very unprofessional at least the manager jasmine and coo worker Paul is Around 7:15 PM I was approached by one of the employees that I cannot super set and I asked why and was informed that other people could not use the weight. I continued to workout and as I was leaving the gym around 8:30 pm I stopped by the front counter to speak with a manager. The manager on duty was jasmine and I asked her how if they knew a bunch of people were super setting. I stated that I was not trying to be confrontational I was simply wanting to know. The manager jasmine replied to me in a medium tone voice saying “are you trying to check us”. I said no I’m just asking cause it’s a lot of people super-setting. The employee Paul stated that they go around every 15 minutes to check and I said ok. The manager Jasmine then said to me no he not about to try and tell us how to do our job and talking very unprofessional. I stated I was not and I asked for the manger phone number. Employee Paul stated we not about to give him nothing she is the manager. During the conversation manager jasmine was continuously talking to me and I stated that she was not acting appropriately. I started to enquirer about my membership being canceled and the employee Paul stated to me your not about to keep talking to us and we are not going to talk with you anymore. I stated I want corporate number I’m not sure but employee Paul at some point in the conversation said to me “ We can take this outside”. I said ok let’s go and he stated I get off at 11:30. Meanwhile manger jasmine was on the phone with the police. I walked towards the door and the employee Paul said I’ll kick your but you ugly dude. I stated let’s go bro it took about three members to hole employee Paul back as he was trying to charge me. I stepped outside and waited for the police officer to arrive. I talked with the police and he politely talked to me and went home. I like to say I been a member if planet fitness for over 5 years and I have never been treated with suck disrespect. I was told I would be beat up and ridiculed for inquiring about the policies. I would like to ask for to be updated with any reprimand of the employees on duty Tuesday 12/18/19.

Just recently I’ve encountered some inconsistencies on protocol of the gym do’s and don’ts. I was never given policy and procedures. I was advised I couldn’t superset exercise on any equipment. I was also advised I couldn’t have a small tote bag in the area! This location didn’t advise me of anything in the initial enrollment. Recently, one employee have been coming to me each time to double check my actions. This is unacceptable! Concerned patron of the gym. If you’re going to enforce rules...then they must be addressed at enrollment!

The staff is always friendly. It's kind of a beginner's gym (limited free weight selection) but with a little imagination, you can still make gains. Only one caveat: it's super crowded on Mon-Thurs evenings.

Edit: Regarding the reply, when I asked to speak with a manager the day of the incident, the employee denied my request. I will not be returning to this location for any reason.TL;DR - This is a corporate gym that will lie to you to get your money. Find a locally-owned gym. It's worth the extra expense.I was a member of the Macon, GA location from January 2017 - to July 2018. I was out of contract when I tried to terminate my membership. A few days ago, I inquired with the staff as to the procedure for termination. I was told that if I cancelled before the 17th of the month, my membership would be terminated from the 17th onward. Today is the 12th. I attempted to cancel, and I was informed that i had missed the cancellation window and would be charged for the following month anyway. I was misled by the employees.I'd further like to state that in my experience, the only rules that are enforced at this location are not dropping things. You can workout in boots. You can workout in jeans. You can dance around the machines while yelling. You cannot accidentally rerack a weight too hard.

Came in for a tour and the manager Shawn delivered his 110%. While on the tour I saw employees mopping and cleaning. Gotta say though... I'm very impressed. Keep up the great work team Macon!

This is the perfect place to work out here in Macon.It's always clean, organized and you have a lot of equipments to use. Friendly staff and above all, the Club Manager (Mr. TJ) is very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. I am happy to be a member of Planet Fitness - Macon.

Very disappointed in the service I received. I am new to the area and joined planet fitness in March. I had been going to planet fitness in NY for the past 6 months. I since relocated here in Ga. I joined the gym after meeting with a young lady from the church who goes there I decided to join and workout with her as she is a trainer. After working out with her twice We were rudely approached by the manager and told that we could not workout there because she was my personal trainer even though we both had memberships there. I was there with her 2x a week for an hour. None the less we had memberships. I was also working with the personal trainer the facility provided. I could not find anything in the gym policy stating that I could not workout there with a partner. I need clarity as to what the policies are. it was embarrassing being told we had to leave the gym and could not work out there I immediately cancelled my membership and was told I had to pay a cancellation fee. So much for southern hospitality.

One cannot go wrong choosing this facility. The price point cannot be beat, there is never a shortage of quality strength and cardio machines or free weights, and the staff is wonderful. I come in every day and I find the staff always cleaning, checking in on members, and assisting with form and safety. They take pride in their work and their workplace. I highly recommend this location.

It's the hipster of gyms. It gets to be not a gym but still have everything a gym has. This particular location is kinda small by comparison to other planet fitness locations.
