24 Hour Fitness

Been to several gyms in the area and am glad this one is so close. I have been a member for over a year and they were very cooperative in pausing membership during the pandemic. When I decided to come back they were very helpful. This is not a place for people that are going to cry about others not wearing masks. Besides the fact that no business can enforce masks without violating HIPPA under current Texas executive orders, they are one of the few businesses that actually follows the law by not breaking HIPPA or violating the ADA. With this very political virus they will lose customers regardless. Most regulars are healthy and done with the mask nonsense. If you are scared or compromised then stay home.

Called to cancel my membership about a week ago and the guy on the phone didn't even ask for my name he just said I would get an email(never got it) so called back about a week later to verify cancellation and this time I received the email. The guys answering the phone need better training or they have to make an effort to do a better job. It seems like they are in a rush and just want to get you off the phone. IF YOU CALL TO CANCEL JUST MAKE SURE YOU VERIFY THEY ACTUALLY CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT.

I tried to go this morning. 1 person working at the front had his mask pulled down - drinking coffee. 2 people had their masks on.I looked to the left (cardio machines). There were about 10 people - no one had masks on.I didn't even check-in. I just turned around and left.It looked clean but I didn't want to chance it. I was disappointed that the workers were not enforcing their rules about wearing masks.

For the third time in a month, there was no one there to open the gym at 5:00 am. I'm already paying for a service I cannot use (24-hour fitness) and now they cannot even open on time. The will also not address emailed concerns!! Don't waist your time, there are other clubs in McKinney Texas that are actually open when you need them to be!!!!!

Great gym before everything got closed down, conveniently open for 24 hours, so for those that are busy most the day if you could go whenever you wanted and not worry about them being closed. But now the company named “24 hour fitness” is not even open 24 hours and they are still charging the same price for a membership. Absolutely ridiculous

I’ve been a member over a year and the facility is very convenient. Staff at the front desk are generally friendly. There’s plenty of equipment to use. The pool itself is clean with clear water and the locker room has plenty of lockers with your own lock.

Nick Druce the older 40s plus manager was pretty rude. Asked him to change the TV to accommodate, his staff was already in the process of doing it when he had his staff to come tell me he wouldn’t, nor couldn’t. Additionally the way he told me was rude and childish. As an 8 year member of 24 hour fitness his tone and blatant disregard for the customer as well as horrible attitude shows why this company went bankrupt and will not be successful going forward. I get that you like to power trip on people but without paying guests how do you expect to have a job? It’s hard to deal with people being actively disrespectful. I advise against this gym. Please look at other similar reviews.

Believe me, I get it. Post COVID (well, technically we're still during COVID), it's difficult to maintain the staff and the cleaning expectations necessary to run on 24/7 operating schedule. However, I don't see why they can't do what other gyms have done and go to a 5-11 or even midnight. I paid for a full year's membership, so I'm kinda stuck with a gym membership I can't use because their new hours doesn't match mine. And according to them, I can't freeze my membership, so I'm simply out the money. I'm sorry, but there's something terribly wrong with that scenario. As for the gym itself, it's great. I love the facility and the amenities. It's close to home, but all of that's pointless if I can't use it.

Good clean workout .. the reservation is with the 24 hours app and it's actually helpful and help you prep for the day .. I just wish they would open the hot sauna

I will workout here anytime! Masks ARE NOT REQUIRED BY LAW. IT IS ACTUALLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL. I have lung disease and wearing a mask will kill me. If you want to wear one, you should be safe.
