OUT DATED BROKEN MACHINES, MESSY LOCKER ROOMS WITH OLD MILDEW TOWELS IN LOCKERS.. the front desk lady said she needed to take my pic for security purposes.. I think she ment identification purpose. I could have shown her my ID but I was offended so I left.

Great gym, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and convenient classes for midday availability. Place is hygienic and quaint. The equipment is in good condition, and maintained timely.

Super convenient location and decent equipment, but anything dealing with memberships or personal training is borderline fraud. It is impossible to cancel a membership and they lie about the costs associated with personal training. Be very careful.

I have been exercising at NYSC in Scarsdale for about ten years now and not a single machine has been replaced. Every other machine in the gym is out of service or "being repaired," but nothing changes. Half of the treadmills do not read accurate speeds, the elliptical machines make creaky noises, and the mats are dirty. The NYSC in White Plains has replaced its machines at least twice in this same time frame. Do not join this gym if you seek clean, up-to-date workout machines.

Don’t ever join here. They will tell you one price for a membership and then bill you another. The battle it is to cancel your membership isn’t worth joining it at all. I had been a member for years and only stayed because it was walking distance for me. Im not even gonna get into the reviews of the gym itself you can see that from other peoples reviews. Just save your money and time and go somewhere else. 👎🏼

Went to this location because it’s the only one open on Christmas. Disgusting place. Filthy, many cardio machines not working, locker room was a pig stye. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. Only good thing was the nice person at the reception desk. Sorry for the short review, I have to run to Urgent Care to see if I picked up any diseases at NYSC Scarsdale

I've been an active member of NYSC for 5 years now. I visit various locations like Dobbs and Scarsdale. Unfortunately, I had the worst experience at the Scarsdale location. The manager on duty, Knox, has exhibited very rude and unprofessional behavior. I have seen before my eyes him grab a mans belongings in a spin class, and move his chair to another one for no apparent reason. For myself, I was adjusting my spin chair and Knox childishly throws a tantrum, picking up MY belongings and ESCORTING me out the building telling me to NEVER return. I was HUMILIATED and EMBARRASSED in front of everyone. I am a dark toned middle eastern women, who had no idea why this was happening. I tried to email the corporation and they SIDED with them. SO please do not say to email you guys because YOU DID NOTHING TO HELP ME. I have disputed my charges and demanded an apology. This was by far the most humiliating thing to happen to me in front of the entire gym, solely for ADJUSTING my seat. As i write this, I still can not understand what I did to upset Knox, but it is clear he is UNSTABLE. Many employees have complained about his behavior and INAPPROPRIATE language. I STILL demand an apology in front of the people he humiliated me in front of, and for his termination. This was an unethical, inappropriate display of how not to treat a paying member who has been loyal for about 5 years. I will NEVER give them my money again. If NYSC wants to make it up to me, they will have Knox email me to come in an apologize. Other than that, I am not going to stop until something is done. I definitely have reported to the BBB where they have over 300 complaints one year.

I joined this club because of its convenience and because of the concern toward people with physical challenges demonstrated by its General Manager Michael Prestano. He is very nice and not intimidating. So for those who maybe feel deconditioned or too limited, come over and ask for Michael. I am very happy here and I designed my own workout with classes and stretching and some cardio. But I feel I am welcomed. As long as Michael runs this club it will be in good hands and I will feel valued here.
