I signed up for a membership at the 41st street and 3rd ave location and informed the person signing me up that I would be away the next month and he agreed to cancel my membership the next day. Not only did he not do that, he never informed me about the cancellation or yearly fee for a membership. This is absolutely unacceptable and I demand my money back because i was never informed about any of these fees and clearly told the person signing me up that I needed my membership cancelled immediately, which he never did as he promised. Atrocious.

I headed to the gym around 8pm, started my routine in empty class room, as soon as I started my routine I had been asked by instructor to move my mat to another side of the class room. He demanded it. And continued to drop all props on the floor in order to prepare class for (!!!) Tomorrow class. Music was super loud, cleaning lady started to wash the mirror right in front of me.My training time is officially till 10pm, how come i had been disrespected in two ways? This is annoying.

DO NOT recommend this location OR NYSC in general. TERRIBLE customer service. They told me 2 months ago they put through my cancel and still getting charged. The staff and manager there is rude and non-responsive unless you call every 10 minutes. They also will late charge you or add fees without notice. In my opinion they are shady and steal your money. Also, the facilities are gross and when they update a location ti be nice you can't go there anymore as a passport member. STAY AWAY. Better off joining Blink, Equinox, or doing Class Pass.

Good and clean equipment and very nice staff but small and limit s number of weightlifting machines

Since NYC grand Central will become a NYSC Elite this coming February I would imagine that the amount of foot traffic here will pick up. But it's quite a large gym. Not alot of bench's but there are enough machines and cardio equipment to make up for that. Overall, this just became my new gym and I'll keep my membership because it's s good alternative.

Large quantity of cardio related machines ( x1 climber, multiple - treadmills, stepper, ellipticals and a few unusual ones) which makes it ideal for those looking for that workout. Gets crowded in waves like 7Am and the afternoon crowd around 4ish making the weight training areas a little congested and have to hover over machines. I changed my exercise hours to avoid the crowds now. Large quantities of showers and lockers. Always lock my stuff up for safety. I've noticed others just leaving their belongings in lockers with no lock. Wouldn't recommend that. Can be a little cold or hot with extreme outside temps but once you acclamate it's not a problem. The one issue is that the gym is messy frequently, I blame the people not the gym. Dumbbells and accessories/equipment are everywhere making you have to run in a circle to find what you need. Advice would be to time your exercises and get there a little early for set up.

The AC is turned off to reduce running costs on weekends. Almost fainted with a heat stroke on one occasion, especially for the chest and back equipment around the corner. Not a nice thing to do to your members!

When I started going here a year ago I was pleasantly surprised and relieved to avoid the over-crowded GCT location. However, since then things have slid - machines out of order, more crowding in the locker rooms, etc. Lately their air conditioner has been on the blink too. I get the feeling from here and elsewhere that this chain is entering the "Bally Total Fitness" death spiral, where a chain cuts back on maintenance as it slowly goes downscale to attract cheaper signups

Full service gym located in the basement of this building. Tons of cardio machines, decent free weight area, multiple rooms for classes.Great steam room. Clean locker room. Sauna is not very hot.

I signed up for a class and got there about 5 min early. It was already pretty packed. Picked my spot and about 25 more people showed up. The class was over crowded by about 10. The girl to my right kept swinging her arms into me. I kept hitting the wall because I was so close to it. They should create more classes. Maybe they didn't account for the fact that most of the class would be over weight.
