Orangetheory has been great for my health and my mental well-being. The coaches help me stay motivated and committed. I especially love going to class with Coach Tim and Coach Shelby. They are both great quality coaches for the group and individually. I look forward to going to their classes!

Love OTF UWS! I joined in June 2022 specifically to ease back into exercising while monitoring my heart rate after over a year of long COVID-related issues. It was the perfect place for me to do that. The staff are all really nice and helpful and the coaches are great (shout out to Coach Alysha and former Coach Jackie!). I am a Premier member and, for me, it's worth the cost based on the efficiency of the workouts and the personal attention you get from the coaches during, and outside of, class. If you go consistently, you will see results! I also had to put my membership on hold for a month for a medical reason and they made that really easy for me. Five stars for sure. Thank you, OTF UWS!**Edited to add that most of the negative reviews here are for the policy of having to show up 30 min early before your first class so they can give you the attention you need, set up your HR monitor, explain the class structure and goals, and make sure you know what you're doing--not everyone is a seasoned HIIT class taker and elite athlete, folks! This kind of inclusivity is what makes OTF stand out to me--that no matter where you are in your fitness journey, they will meet you there. You see it in the very wide spectrum of ages, athleticism, body types, etc. in the classes. Having your beef be with a policy that helps make fitness more accessible to ALL is just silly and elitist to me. OK, I'm done :-)

TLDR: OTF 72nd street is the best… if you think otherwise… you’re wrong…Okay so here is the truth, and nothing but the truth so help me… whoever is the goddess of weightlifting… I’m sure there has to be one…..Picture this… a slightly overweight, over worked queer on the upper west side who would go to the gym for 2 hours, scroll instagram, and go home….In May/June of 2020 this babe decided that since they hadn’t been to the gym in 9 months that it was time to do something… do I like working out?! No! Hence the instagram for 2 hours… I needed someone to tell me to go somewhere and to do something, stop doing that thing and now do another thing…. I needed a trainer or a class. So I walked next door to my work, after all I’m there 60 hours a week, why not go to the gym on my break or before my shift starts…. Not after, I’m tired after…So I go in, 30 minutes before (it’s 30 minutes, I promise it’s not that hard), and speak to a nice young lady at the front desk and tell her about my goals… #ProjectBirthWeight and how I want to be sexy enough to wear a crop top by 2021 pride!!!So we giggle, I was SLIGHTLY joking, and I take my first ever class. Now here is where our story takes a turn….I enjoyed it… not like two for one margaritas enjoyed, but I did something that was HARD and I didn’t think I could… but I did!!!Then for months I went almost religiously, and I met some amazing people… front desk employees, managers, fellow members, and the coaches…. OMG the coaches…. I don’t care who it is… head coach Jackie, Tim, Austin, Alysha, Nick, or any of the others I’ve been lucky enough to be with… all of them have brought out different things in me that I didn’t know I had. They all push me in such different ways that I felt motivated, yet annoyed (like you are when your sister tells you something and you know she is right but you don’t want to hear it….)Now I have to say, over 200 classes later, the strangest and most unexpected change I had wasn’t physical…. Did I loose weight and get more “fit” yes… if you’re going regularly it’s gonna happen… but the change that happened was that I stopped caring. These people taught me that true strength is more than just a six pack… it’s doing better than you did last time, or even better… forgiving yourself for the fact that you didn’t hit a PR when you wanted to. It truly has changed who I am.I mean come on… you can ask almost anyone there… I will proudly walk around in a crop top DAILY!!! And I do not have the six pack I thought I needed… nor am I at my birthweight… I like fried chicken too much…So in summary… OTF 72nd St is more than a gym… it’s truly become a part of my life and a family. #UpperWestSide #UpperBestSide

My favorite time of the week is when I have to go in to take a class at the UWS Orange theory Fitness Studio. Coach Jackie, Tim, Alysha and Austin are Amazing! Love the way they push and encourage everyone in the room! The people at the front desk are so lovely and accomodating. Highly recommend OTF!
