Best treadmills I've been on hands down. Great people working up front. We got the day passes 10$ per person. Visiting from Martinsburg WV for a few days with two days spent in the gym. Best equipment and love the cardio machines. Bring your own towel if you need one. They only give you towels for wiping equipment down not for sweat. They do provide drinks you can buy in case you forget! So don't forget your wallet. Locker rooms for changing and the treadmills allow Bluetooth connection for apple watch, Samsung, earbuds and heart rate monitor.

Amazing gym, amazing people, great number of free weights and machines to use. Best local gym around Williamsburg and especially if you are in New Town! The people will get to know you, plus it's where most of the locals go too!

I’ve been a member for several years and continue to be impressed with the consistent quality of IBG. It is clean, friendly, inventive, diverse. Men and women work out together, youth and seniors. It is very popular!

I've been a member of this gym on and off for the past few years while attending school in the area.Ironbound did a great job during Covid. I was impressed by their friendly and easygoing atmosphere when I first joined. Maybe the recent influx of new members from AF is the culprit and existing members have been complaining, but the environment has become a stressful/hostile place for me and other friends I've spoken to.It's crowded. Suddenly there are signs everywhere telling gym-goers not to socialize, not to be on their phones, and not to listen to music loudly. A sign or two is fine, but there is now a sign on EVERY machine. I've been going pretty consistently for the past 4 months and have never had a bad experience with other gym-goers. Personally, I rarely take more than a minute between sets, but It's normal for people to rest for 2-3 minutes in between. It's safer and you get a better quality lift. It really isn't a big deal if people check their phones while waiting. These signs just make people feel rushed and attacked for doing something that virtually every other gym permits. Shouldn't the gym be a place to make connections and friends as well? I follow IBG's Instagram and have read comments on their posts that pretty much echo the passive-aggressive signs. While catering to one customer base, you're making other gym-goers feel unwelcome. The final straw was today. I went for my first workout of the year after vacation. I was already not feeling my best but I made it there. I don't generally do this, but I picked up a separate laundered towel in the middle of my workout for sweat since there are no paper towels in the restroom for that purpose. The towels are usually used for wiping down the machines and are laundered on-site. I've watched people use their rags as sweat towels all the time, EXCEPT with the SAME rag they use to wipe down the machines (which is extremely counterproductive and unhygienic, so I picked up a separate towel). In short, in the middle of my set, I was followed by the owner of IBG to tell me I am not allowed to do this. I was startled that I was interrupted in the middle of my set over something so incredibly small (not to mention there were no signs indicating this new rule). This unnecessary confrontation, along with all the issues above, was embarrassing and made me feel unwelcome at the gym.I'm a student. $50 may not be a lot to some, but it is for me. I go to the gym to relax and decompress. I go to focus on my health. I expect that when I paya higher price tag, it will lead to a better quality experience. The last thing I want to feel is micromanaged throughout my workout. I'm sad to say things have changed and I will be joining elsewhere once my contract is up.

Community gym feels with "big box gym" quality equipment. I've been weightlifting for over ten years and have been to countless gyms around the country, and this one will always be my favorite. The staff is the friendliest, and the owner Scott always tries to engage with the members.Regardless of your favorite fitness modality, you'll find something for you. They have a functional fitness room with all the Rogue equipment you could ever want. Plenty of machines and free weights if you prefer bodybuilding/hypertrophy workouts, and dozens of cardio pieces from rowers to a Jacobs Ladder.
