Best Gym ever! Positive experience each time. Considering the risks of hypertension, type 2 diabetes and obesity posing on our population, this gym is the best thing for the community. People are comfortably working out in a judgment free zone, feeling good and healthy.

Nice gym but got ripped off when sighing up. They push the $24 membership never even told me there was a basic plan for $9.95. The $24 gets me into work out classes I don't want or use. When I found out about the $9.95 plan I called to try and down grade my membership, I was told I had to wait 6 months and the speak with a manager and have to pay an additional $10 to down grade. I couldn't believe it. Pay $24 for 6 months then $10 to down grade! Not worth it. There locker rooms are dirty. Bathroom is always dirty and no customer service at all.

Pros: lots of equipment, spacious, fun group classes, great price, trainers know there stuffCons: It can get overcrowded at certain times of the day (5:30p-7:30p), they need to work on their customer service skills, locker room showers flooded, some lockers are broken and unusable.Recommendation: Do your research before committing. You can do a one day trial and get a sense of what you'll be paying for. For individuals new to working out, it can be intimidating with all the men crowded in one section, or you enter at peak hours and there aren't any machines available. If you can workout in the morning or weekends, I would say come because its a different place. Overall, its a good gym in the community at a great rate.

This place is WAAAYYY overcrowded. I went in at 6:15 PM and it was like the RMV of gyms. It's possibility because it's a brand new gym, but GEEZ! Hopefully the mornings won't bee too bad.

Nice equipment, but starting to get dirty and overcrowded. Water on floor, paper towels etc. People don't re-rack weights. Lots of staff, but all congregating at the front desk, so no one really on the floor to keep it cleaner. You get what you pay for.

I am not sure how the other reviewer could consciously rate an establishment that was not even opened for business a month ago. CFR opened around January 20th. As a marathoner, I dread running indoors, but it is a necessary evil if you reside in Boston where the winter weather can sometimes be downright ugly. Now I will caution you that this review is only from the perspective of my needs - I don't have the patience for group classes or social meet-ups. My therapy comes for the streets. I belong to the Reggie Lewis Track Center, but the hours are limited, it is closed during holidays, and it's about 4 miles from my house.I decided to incur the expense of an additional membership because CFR is a mere .75 mile run or drive from my house, opens at 5:30 a.m. (The Reggie opens at 7:00 a.m.) has plenty of treadmills for those days when I need to man up to the treadmill for an indoor training run and enough weights for my strength training. That is the extent of my needs and review.Staff is friendly, locker room is clean, well lit, with plenty of hot water. I am able to rent a locker at the Reggie so I hope they extend this option at CFR as I hate toting stuff. I have yet to wait for a machine and for those folks who fail to clean their machine, the cleaning staff wipes them down regularly. A big bonus in my book; can't afford to miss a race because of germs...yuck!I have also hired one of their coaches whom I interviewed extensively to ensure that he is well qualified and will meet my needs. I was greatly impressed by his ability to listen to me and counter all of my queries with a comprehensive and tangible plan. Can't wait for our session of agility work!My only complaint which is not a much ado is that their fees...geesh! Other than that, this running woman is pretty pleased so far.

Thought my experience with them would have been better, but unfotunately not. Bad business practices, called to speak with someone and was basically given the not our problem attitude. Then when asked to speak with a manager was placed on a long hold and then hung up on.Called back and was placed on hold once again and told a bunch of nonsense. I am done with them will cancel my membership immediately.Unhappy Customer !!!!

The gym is okay.It needs a quick overall assessment. There are a few classes that needs to be changed, and modified. It serves persons of all ages and disabilities for instance, person with joint problems, arthritis problem, persons that are obese, persons that are sedentary that needs classes that will address those issues and others. ZUMBA should not be the ONLY class that is provided in the evening. There are a lot of things that needs to be address and changed to reach the masses and keep it fresh, exciting, enjoyable, and wanting the public to talk about how they are excited. The gym is not personable. I noticed it about ripping off people, I have noticed that and I will explain at another time.I join the gym because of its classes and now those classes are stale and repetitive, but most of all the instructors there are not very good. I must say what kept me (us ) is Kirby the best instructor and he is leaving. Please Keep the Friday night instructor Kirby.
