Be careful when you sign up for membership. They will make you jump through hoops to cancel. My son headed off the college this past summer and I am still dealing with trying to "prove" to The Edge/ABC Fitness that he is no longer living here. Once you provide this proof, they will still charge you for 30 more days, assuming they agree with the proof you have provided them. Beware - membership feels like a trap at The Edge/ABC Fitness.

Great place to workout. Looking forward for more weight training classes in the future. As of today I see there is a lack of weight training classes for middle aged novice like myself. I feel training is more focus on young new members.

Love my trainer Shavon Simmons! Helping me to strengthen my core and possibly get off this cane after a nasty slip and fall. That caused a major slipped disc and severe pinched nerve and a history of severe spinal stenosis. Thank you to The Edge Fitness Norwalk for another chance.

I hired a personal trainer, Cory around August. I wasn’t told that there was a minimum two month subscription that I had to pay when I get a trainer and I didn’t even have the money to afford the second month. Trust me if it was said I wouldn’t have signed up. My trainer is not a good active listener, I’ve been with him for 2 months (not by choice) and he doesn’t answer my questions when I text him. He hasn’t assigned me workouts for over a month, I am basically training myself. I called and complained about the two month minimum because I didn’t know and I asked for a refund. Their policies do not allow refunds even if it was their fault!!! I told them I don’t want to pay another month and they didn’t end my subscription so I payed a third month and my bank account ended in a negative balance. Once again there was nothing they can do. I would not recommend doing anything beyond a basic subscription at this gym because the bs I had to deal with is unbelievable

Like stated before by others it’s easy to get a membership but so HARD to cancel. My sister is on bed rest from a hard pregnancy. First they told her she wasn’t allowed to cancel which is outrageous. I called and they stated she needed a doctors note stating she couldn’t go to gym. It’s insane that you need a doctors to cancel a gym membership! When the letter was sent they didn’t accept it because it needed to state she has disability or say exactly that she couldn’t work out for 6 months or more which they didn’t state in the first place. This is really crazy that you have to go through so many measures to cancel! Highly don’t recommend this gym! But like my bf said you should try la fitness where you can even cancel on your app :)

Probably one of the better gyms I have been to in a while. I was only in town for a few days and the staff was awesome. You could also tell they keep the place clean and well maintained. If I'm ever back in norwalk I will definitely go back.

Edit: I've now been in contact with two different reps. One saying my 30 days is waived (in writing) and one saying it is not waived. Avoid this gym unless you are want to be here for life.Impossible to cancel your membership. So you're stuck for life. I cancelled over a year ago in person and just got a yearly fee. When I complained I was told that there was no record of my cancellation. They said that would "waive my 30 day notice to cancel". Thanks for that a whole year later. Keep in mind My 12 month contract had expired, I cancelled, and It has been 12 months since my last actual payment. This gym is the definition of money grabbing chain gym with no way out of your contract. terrible experience.
