I have been going to the Edge in Norwalk for almost two years. I was really intimidated at first and would only go when I had personal training. I have been through 3 different trainers who were all okay, but my current one is truly a gem. I started with Greg Vasillo back in September and over time have come to really enjoy working out. He is always encouraging me to come to classes. At first, I was scared of the classes and now, I always want to be there. His classes are varied and challenging. He really makes sure you are doing the exercises correctly and always encouraging you to keep going. He also provides modifications to make it harder or easier depending on your needs. He makes class fun and chill. In addition to his classes, I train with him every Saturday morning. He is always there and ready or communicates ahead of time if anything changes. He is very dependable. He also cares about what I want out of our sessions and asks what I want to work on. Our sessions are never boring and he is very good about pushing you to do more. Since working out with him, I have been coming more to the gym even without a trainer now to do my own workouts. I feel like I have more confidence and know what I am doing and what I want to work on and how. On another positive note, I am now down 38 pounds since November. Greg is the best trainer I have had in a long time. I look forward and get excited for my Saturday mornings! They are the highlight of my week.

I’ve been involved in the gym for over 12 years. I’ve worked with quite a few trainers and taken classes but nothing in past compared to training with Greg and taking his Strong classes. I started working with Greg after getting bounced around from a new trainer. Despite the rocky start to training and knee issues, Greg showed meticulous dedication to helping me reach my goals - not just on the scale but on things I wanted to be able to do again. In addition to the weekly training, I started to taking Greg’s Strong classes to keep the momentum. Even in a class of 20 people, Greg ensured each person who needed modifications got the right form down and that modifying an exercise wasn’t a problem just a starting point to work off of. It has truly made a difference in how I feel, what I can do and how I look at working out. Thank you and I look forward to continuing with Greg at the Edge!

My company and I have been working with the Edge for a while now and have been assigned a few reps over the years. I must say Christina M. by far knocks customer service out of the park. She is extremely attentive and quickly to get things done. It has been a fresh breath of air since she took over. We are so satisfied that we needed to come on here and just give her the kudos she deserves. Keep up the amazing work!

Don't sign up for a membership. They advertise that it's a monthly payment but when you try to cancel, they reveal that the fine print locks you in for a year. Then the only way you can cancel is if you're disabled or show a proof of lease. Also this gym equipment was so dirty and the music was so loud you couldn't hear your own music playing. Every location has terrible parking.

I have been going to the edge for about a year now and I love it there. It’s always clean and everyone who work there, from all the trainers to those working the desk, are so friendly. I train with two of the trainers there twice a week, and they have always been so gracious and flexible with my work schedule. My trainers, who are Rob and Greg are AMAZING, if I could give them both more than five stars I would. I have always had a lot of trouble with keeping motivated to work out and learning how to do it properly, but they have both been so patient and wonderful. They make going to the gym fun, and I always spend a good amount of my time there laughing and having a great time. Honestly, those two are really the only reason I am sticking to it a year later and I would recommend them to anyone who asks.

This gym used to be great. Been a member for 8+ years. Way Overcrowded and oversold memberships. Not enough benches and barbells.

They let customers enter the sauna with sports clothes and sneakers on, sweating, smelling bad, they don't control it, very bad. Do something please! it's disgusting.Spacious gym.

I’ve been a member since the Women’s Fitness Edge was still in Westport. I’ve been through 4 personal trainers and can give 5 of 5 stars for my most recent trainer, Greg Vasillo. I really appreciate him enough to write a review about him. Within two weeks of starting this journey, I noticed a difference in my body and mobility that encourages me to keep going. While two 30 minute sessions a week doesn’t sound like a lot, it is enough. My sessions come with classes that are about an hour each. Greg leads a lot of them. So, even though I am only committing to two 30 minute sessions a week, I find myself taking the classes he offers, which is about 5 times a week for at least an hour.I still dread going to the gym. It is Greg’s friendly, fun, and very chill energy that keeps me coming back. I feel like Greg goes the extra mile for me. He’ll go over a minute or so after my session or class, if he has time. He helps sanitize the sweaty mats, and will help grab extra weights so it doesn’t take away from my workout. Greg is a fairly new trainer at the Norwalk Edge, but he’s already grasped the personalities of the members. Even though his clases are filled with people of different levels, he is able to personalize each workout that it will challenge each person individually. Yet, it doesn’t take away from class. After each class, each person, looks exactly the same: breathing hard and perfusely sweating.

Last year I signed up for personal training and had a negative experience, and was hesitant about coming back. However, this time around I got paired with an amazing trainer, Greg. He not only shows you the proper way to workout, but also motivates you, and has a positive attitude while doing so. I went from coming into the gym 1x a week to now becoming a regular. I would recommend him to anyone needing a push to get back in the gym. Also, Jack and Patrick have amazing Zumba classes if anyone is looking for a fun cardio workout.
