24 Hour Fitness, located at 10011 Broadway St Suite 107, Pearland, TX, offers a range of facilities including a gym, sauna, pool, and locker services. The gym operates 24 hours during weekdays, but has limited hours on weekends, stirring disappointment among some members. Positive experiences stem from excellent customer service and well-maintained amenities, yet complaints about cleanliness and equipment management persist.

Despite its comprehensive service offerings, issues such as cleanliness, customer service, and the misleading name of '24 Hour Fitness' are problematic. The inconsistent opening hours and reported maintenance issues suggest that while this gym can cater to basic fitness needs, it falls short of premium expectations.

Pros:

  • Convenient location in Pearland.
  • Wide range of amenities including a pool and sauna.
  • Tara’s spin class is highly recommended.
  • Friendly staff, particularly Josh and Danielle.
  • Short wait times for machines.
  • Clean environment according to some reviews.
  • Active maintenance of pool temperature.
  • Positive atmosphere reported by some members.
  • Accessible and available free lockers.

Cons:

  • Inconsistent opening hours contrary to the '24-hour' claim.
  • Frequent complaints about cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Customer service issues reported by multiple users.

I'm giving this gym 1 star for the extreme lack of customer service. I've been living in pearland for 15 years and have never been to this gym, but I have been a member of others in the area. I decided to use a 3day pass to check out the gym to consider joining. The pass was downloaded on a Saturday and went in that day. I then attempted to go for the 2nd day Tuesday and was told I couldn't use it because it has to be 3 consecutive days. This so-called rule is not stated anywhere on the website under restrictions or in the email sent with the Code. When I mentioned that, it was pressed that "since I've been here I was taught it has to be consecutive ". I asked to see the policy and even showed the web page. However the front desk lady insisted on the rule. When asked for a general manager, they don't have one. The only manager there was a stand-in. And she was rude, unprofessional and without knowledge of customer service. I again stated that I was a potential customer seeking to feel out the gym and this restriction they claim is not documented. After going back and forth telling her how unprofessional, unrealistic and unwelcoming this is,, she then said with an attitude and dirty look "just go in". Um no thank you. If this is how potential customers are treated, I sure would not want to join this gym and give my money to be mistreated.

What a S**thole. The fact that other gyms in the area are subpar has allowed this 24 to be successful for many years, yet that also means they have no motivation to upkeep the facility. The staff has actually been helpful and approachable but it's extremely obvious that they do not care about the state of the equipment and amenities. 6 benchpress stations, no 5 pound or 10 pound plates on any of them. The manager commented that patrons had been stealing the plates. One of the squat racks is missing a J cup, making the rack unusable. Looks like a tornado hit the bathrooms everytime I go in there. Do better.

I have been meaning to leave this review since joining the gym when I moved to Houston back in May. When I first joined, Josh was the first person to show me around the gym. Josh is extremely friendly and consistently in a good mood. He genuinely cares about people and has a very positive and upbeat attitude. Truly professional. Also, the other girl named Danielle is super Duper friendly, she is seriously always so polite and always keeps an upbeat spirit. These two definitely deserve a positive review. They do not have to be nice but they choose to be and that really goes along way with the customers. Overall I like this gym and its atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I was a member for several years. Canceled after COVID because they no longer stay open 24 hrs. I need earlier hours so that I can workout before work. Got a 3-day pass to convince myself to renew my membership. I was considering paying for an additional membership & going to 24 hrs on the weekends. Went to the down location on 11/5 no problems. Attempted to go to the Pearland location on 11/6, I was told they couldn't allow me in, I can purchase a membership or pay $25. I would like to thank the young lady for preventing me for doing something stupid; paying for two memberships. I'll continue to paying $10 & going to the brand new Planet Fitness down the street from my house.

If i could give negative stars i would. Moved to the area and was looking for a new gym so I signed up for the 3 day pass online. When I got there I was denied on the basis that I had a super sport membership prior which was approximately 6 years ago and I never went to this location (also note the site said the only restrictions were that you couldn't have been a member in the prior 6 months). The desk attendant said for this reason and the fact that they're offering a 1 dollar promotion the manager wouldn't allow me to use it. Why would a promotion have anything to do me using a three day pass. Didn't even offer to just let me workout for the day after the inconvenience. The customer service was trash and the gym was overcrowded. Went right down the street to Dynamic Fitness and received a pass no questions asked and didn't try to sell me on promotions or memberships at all. Joined after my workout.

Went in to use a 3 day pass because I was considering switching gyms was asked if I was going to sign up that day, I told the front guy I wanted to try it out before making the switch and he proceeded to say I can only use the 3 day trial if I was going to switch the same day. How am I going to sign up for something I haven’t even tried yet. He then said well you can only use it one day… so why offer 3 days to try for free? After a 15 min run around of him not wanting to let me in with an attitude he finally said we’ll go ahead. Poor customer service and definitely did NOT feel welcome. Proceeded to go work out and noticed the supplies to clean of machines was sparse and not easily accessible and really nobody cleaned off machines after use. There were a bunch of empty water bottles and wrappers left lying all around the gym and the equipment was old and in poor condition. Lasted about 15 minutes there before just getting the heck out of there. Definitely do not recommend.

Was new yet things weren’t explained to me or my friend. Gym is not 24hr which was a major setback that kept me from coming here for the longest time. Many options available here which is great.

Are yall going to change your name because closing at 9pm everyday don't sound like 24hrs to me. Exactly why I refuse to get a membership can't even live up to your own name. And still charging people full amount for half the service. FOH.

Staff do not greet the members when they walk in. They are too busy playing with their phones. They don't even look up to acknowledge you. Example, today, 8/7/21 @ 430pm, 2 staff 1 lady, 1 male, both on their phones and i checked in using my phone, passed by both of them, not a hi or hello. This is not a 1 time thing, this is all the time, the club is dirty, and sanitizers are almost emoty. Equipment are scattered in the training room. Int

Thomas the assistant manager at the store refused to let me in when i had a free pass. It clearly states on there that if you have not been a member for 6 month you can use the 3 day pass. They refused to let me in, instead pressured for me to buy a membership at a gym i never been to. I was a 24 hour fitness member for 4 years. I havent had a membership at 24 hour in 2 years. I wanted to get back in the gym and start working out again. Would not recommend. I drove 25min just to comet to location, was turned away. I would much rather take my business elsewhere.
