24 Hour Fitness, located at 10011 Broadway St Suite 107, Pearland, TX, offers a range of facilities including a gym, sauna, pool, and locker services. The gym operates 24 hours during weekdays, but has limited hours on weekends, stirring disappointment among some members. Positive experiences stem from excellent customer service and well-maintained amenities, yet complaints about cleanliness and equipment management persist.

Despite its comprehensive service offerings, issues such as cleanliness, customer service, and the misleading name of '24 Hour Fitness' are problematic. The inconsistent opening hours and reported maintenance issues suggest that while this gym can cater to basic fitness needs, it falls short of premium expectations.

Pros:

  • Convenient location in Pearland.
  • Wide range of amenities including a pool and sauna.
  • Tara’s spin class is highly recommended.
  • Friendly staff, particularly Josh and Danielle.
  • Short wait times for machines.

  • Active maintenance of pool temperature.
  • Positive atmosphere reported by some members.

  • Frequent complaints about cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Customer service issues reported by multiple users.

Was a member and stopped attending after the pool turned green like the Rio Olympics. After I canceled my membership, they waited to cancel until after my credit card was billed again, 3 weeks later! Think twice, especially with all the good gyms in the area!

This location is supposed to be "Super" and it consistently fails at it. It fails as soon as you walk in and see most of the staff out of dress code. The one good service representative did not mention that upgrading membership you would have to pay an initiation fee again which I did not mind. Then the Customer Service Manager (who was not wearing anything that said 24hr fitness) was rude and could care less about my fitness goals did not even offer personal training. She never greets guests entering or exiting and prefers to hold personal conversations with other employees instead of taking care of her customers needs. You hear the PA system for team members to do a team clean but they never do. Dirty towels are strewn all around the club and weights are never put away let alone organized. When you get ready to make your New Years resolution to make fitness a priority and to loose weight avoid spending time and money at this loccation.

The staff here is friendly but the downside to this establishment is that they aren't very alert or vigilant of the people coming in. I see many people sneaking into the gym when no one is manning the front so the basketball courts are filled up and the PAYING members don't get to use them. Equipment is constantly out of commission. Just tonight my car was broken into and had stuff stolen from it, I get it that it's late so it could be dangerous but it's called 24 hr fitness for a reason so logically it should be safe for member to use the gym within those 24 hours since that's what we are paying for. There are only 2 cameras outside for security but are angled towards each other so coverage isn't very good and that's the reason my vehicle was broken into. There is a annual membership "maintenance fee" of 50 dollars, but the restroom sinks are falling apart, basketball courts are never swept and dusted so it's dangerously slippery, there never seems to be a round basketball that actually bounces like one should bounce, and the security system is seriously lacking in purpose or functionality. I'm appalled at the overall quality of product that this gym provides especially at the premium we pay for since it's a 24 Hr Super Sport. There are plenty of other gyms around this area that will fulfill your expectations of what a premium gym is suppose to be if you're paying a incomparable price for what you're actually getting here.

The staff there in general is attentive and helpful. The towels could use an upgrade as most have stains on them but as a free service I'm not terribly picky. The biggest challenge there is the machine maintenance is poor and most of the equipment tvs don't work or screen quality is bad. The cleaning service is really bad and training people to wipe equipment down after working out is spotty at best. The facility needs to be upgraded to show me my monthly fees are contributing to a better asset. Shaq hasn't had ownership for some time now please remove him ... Devil in details. The only advantage is the hours other than that I would consider a different gym that has better equipment with upgraded facility.

Nov 2017 Update:Since the past review, I wanted to share that the pool has been consistently clean these past few weeks through October and November. We often focus on the negative in these reviews but the every time I've swum (and I swim 3-4 a week), it's been clear and relatively clean in the water. Perhaps some signage on instructing patrons to not wear shoes or clothing into the pool and to rinse off before entering the pool the first time. Thanks for the improvement. 3 starsSept 2017The maintenance is inconsistent and service is an after thought. You'll have exceptional folks in the front desk every once in a while who will troubleshoot, greet you and essentially do their job. Most others are just taking up space. Pool is poorly maintained, always murky and even after a clean, debris is still at the bottom of the pool. There needs to be signage that tells patrons to rinse first before getting into the water. Furthermore, ph of the water is inconsistent. As a competitive swimmer for over a decade, I come out of the water with crunchy hair because it's dried out so much after just two or three swims. 2 Stars

Up until today i was happy with this gym. I've been a member for 4 years and today upon entering the gym, i checked in as usual and went to the stairmaster. After about 2 minutes, an employee in plain clothes walk up to me and say I need you to go to the front and check-in! My mouth dropped, I actually thought it was a joke. I told the young lady that i already checked in and she told me ' Oh you did, I didn't see you. The funny part was, I didn't see her either because there's never anyone in the front. She walked up to me and accused me of stealing basically. I was so frustrated that i couldn't continue my workout! Im seriously thinking about fitness connection now!!

I travel to all of the 24 hour fitness centers in the Houston area. This location is by far one of the best! And one of the newest. The 24 hour in Pflugerville is just as nicer But cleaner. I go to 24 hour at least five days a week for over two years. So I can speak from experience The people complaining about the Pearland 24 hour fitness have no idea what they're talking about and only like to complain. They just don't realize how good they've got it there.

Came home on summer break from my medical school in Miami. The rude desk attendant refused to let me come in to workout on my brother's guest pass because you have to have a Texas Driver's License. She said it would be $25 for the visit. We have a 24 hour fitness in Miami and I considered switching but definitely NOT anymore. We ended up going to Dynamic Fitness up the street across from the Town Center where Jazmine was really helpful and allowed us to workout. Please avoid this place.

The restroom especially during the night the floors are so filthy and the stench in the restrooms is so unacceptable. It has this kind of malodorous odor. The floors has lots of shoe marks and the watermarks that has been dried is almost look like greases. Believe me, it is so filthy and knowing that this is SuperSport. The branch in Meyerland which is only just Sport level is way better than this Pearland's supersport. I came from 24hr fitness meyerland sport and was transferred here in Pearland supersport and I was never disgusted in 24hr fitness until I came to see this place.

Has everything you need. Came over from a crowded fitness connection with no basketball court. No complaints...if I was being nit-picky I'd say that they could do better about keeping the sauna and steam room a bit cleaner, but you can't police everyone who uses them.
