DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Please heed this warning. You will get ripped off and over charged. Even after months of cancellation. Coult the general manager and his crew are not to be trusted. Don't get yourself caught into this entrapment of continuously being charged after months of cancellation. CUSTOMERS BEWARE...

Music is way too loud! Machines are outdated, and they won't stop emailing me. They've texted me from 2 different numbers and I've blocked 4 email accounts so far.

I recently signed up and noticed right off the bat that this gym is a lot better when it comes to morning crowds, and the people there working are very nice..my biggest and most important concerns when finding a gym are that there are not enough cleaning stations at this gym and they're never usually properly stocked... also upon trying to tan in their lay down bed for the first time it was pretty filthy to a point where I did not feel comfortable using it.. there are no mirrors in the locker room unless you are at the hand washing stations, and no paper towels at all...also the music In the locker room is way too loud. Looks like I'll be keeping my planet fitness membership after all.. I had high hopes for this gym so I'm pretty disappointed .

Good luck trying to cancel your membership! I knew this was going to happen! If you don't know anything about gym membership cancellation; Google that and there is a slew of articles of it's nefarious business practices. Not just with Crunch Fitness, but it's an industry standard and they know it.So on Aug 30th 2022 I called to cancel my gym membership and they said I had to come in to do that; they generally try to make it hard and time consuming to cancel your membership, I get it! So I went in to cancel and the employee up front pulled up my account clicked a few buttons and said done! I asked if he was sure and he said yep and confirmed with another employee there and yes good to go! I asked for a confirmation and they said I'll get one. Needless to say, I did get an email from Crunch Fitness that day and assume it was the cancellation confirmation.About 10-15 days later I get charged for my monthly fee. I called to inquire and they said that it was a final payment, but confirmed that my account was cancelled.Sept 29th 2022, I get charged for my yearly fee. I called again and inquired about this fee and said that I cancelled last month. This time they check and said NO my account was active. They said if I wanted to cancel I needed to come in to the gym. As I was researching this and finally read my last email from them; it turns out it was an email to renew my membership! I'll take blame for no reading this the first time! I went in to cancel my membership this time bringing a letter of cancellation and signing it was an employee there so we both know and understand my intent to cancel!! She again click and few buttons and confirmed my membership was cancelled and that I would not be charged any further. I said I didn't believe her until I get a confirmation; she said she'll email me, but not from Crunch Fitness. It came from a personal account since she said they can't email from Crunch Fitness. I got the confirmation from a Gmail account. I told the gal that I would need to still file a complaint with the BBB to try to recover the extra charges and that's me being diligent, but read they're BBB complaints and it's nothing new regarding billing issues. In the end, I won't be surprised if I get charged again; this time a "final final charge". I won't be surprised if I had to come in again to cancel my membership. I won't be surprised if the gal that was assisting me is no longer working there the next time I come in to cancel my membership; cause all they can say is she's no longer here and that I needed proof of my cancellation. This email might not mean a thing. They have sign posted up front that states "Smile Your On Camera" will they check that as proof; probably not.

This gym is a scam. They had 2 of my cards on file and were charging me every month on both cards at the same time and refuse to refund me my money. Everyone I've talked to has been rude about it. Their customer service skills are horrible and they are very unprofessional. DONT ever go to this gym unless you want to be scammed.

Very good location! Personal trainers and STAFF were awesome to work with always very polite. Good customer service. Clean environment to get a good work out in. Definitely would recommend my friends in Phoenix AZ to get a membership to. Happy to say positive things about this establishment.

I typically don’t feel compelled to leave poor reviews but Crunch has really gone downhill. They used to be 24 hours and changed around the start of the pandemic, which would be fine… if they actually had staff there to open the gym. On a regular basis, you have to wait 30-45 mins past “opening” for someone to show up and unlock the place, sometimes even longer. This has been happening since they changed their hours, some weeks it happens multiple times a week. Also not sure if this is something management has control over but worth mentioning if you’re considering a membership here… a few days a week in the early mornings, there’s some sort of class that goes on behind the treadmills blasting their own music, separate from the gym music. Like full volume blasting, treadmill-rattling, you can still hear it clear as day through noise cancelling headphones. I wish I was exaggerating. I’m a little confused why they don’t use the designated fitness class area that’s at least separated by doors? Again not sure if this is officially offered through the gym or not, but would be nice to be able to put in headphones and enjoy a workout relatively undisturbed.Biggest issue is the unreliability though, so one star for affordability, and another star for pleasant staff members (the ones that do show up), but otherwise you’re just paying to not actually be guaranteed to use the service you pay for.

My friend called in to cancel the personal training as she encountered a financial situation. The Manager assured her she can email someone in the company to freeze ghe account for 6 months which is great, as she did not want to stop training completely. The company emailed her back, saying they can only freeze for 30 days and need a 14 day notice. She is understandably upset with this information. They require medical or relocation documentation to freeze or cancel. Due to this I am considering canceling my membership as well. This is a shame as the people in the gym have treated us well.

My family have lost a huge amount of our wages and was unfortunately not able to continue with the gym. We had signed up for personal training and the gym membership. Went to cancel and was told that I was under contract with trainer and was going to be billed even tho we could not afford it anymore. Contracts are ridiculous and should be able to cancel when under hardship. The trainer even pushed me so hard that for days I was not able to do my job without being in pain. The young man did not cater to my body and was not alert to my body at all. Do not join Crunch because they don’t care about your life at all just making that money and hurting you.

I have generally been good with the only 3 Crunch gyms in AZ however in my visit to the North PHX one on Sat 7/9/22 it was closing when I in the locker room changing to leave. The staff member flickers the lights on and off which I didn't mind as a heads up but then he turns them off and leaves them off in the men's room and I'm stuck in the dark. I yell but nothing thinking I got left behind. After tripping over the bench I made my way out the men's room and yelled out I was still in the locker room but gym was closed and no one around so I made my way back to get my things fortunately found my phone and used the flashlight to gather my things and walk out just as the lights came back on and see the staff member come towards me to do a men's room check as I yelled at him on my way out. I don't know if this is his common practice and just being funny but it needs to stop and followed up by mgmt. I never had this problem with the other two gyms in Gilbert and Avondale during closing time as they do restroom checks before turning off the lights.
