My partner and I took the intro to climbing course with Dan over the weekend and had the greatest experience. I cannot imagine a friendlier, more welcoming, and encouraging instructor; we felt so safe and supported the entire time, and had so much fun learning the ropes (literally!) of how to belay safely and engage with all that the gym has to offer in a respectful manner. After the class, Dan helped set us both up for memberships and made himself available for any questions we had. I can't wait to come back, continue to challenge myself, and be a part of this kind, supportive community of climbers. Thank you Dan!

I took the intro to climbing class and had an amazing time! I'm a complete beginner, and our instructor Dan was excellent at making climbing feel approachable, safe, and fun. The climbing class was more than worth the cost, and the entire gym seems set up to accommodate every level of climber, with enough distinct areas and activities for weeks of use without getting old. I left super happy and excited to come back soon!

Our private group LOVED this experience and all of the climbing variety for all levels. We also really enjoyed the extremely professional and fun instruction from our group climbing instructor, Teddy. He’s a wonderful instructor and you can tell he has a real passion for climbing! I highly recommend him for your next group climbing experience. 10/10 💚

My partner and I attended the introduction to climbing class with the wonderful Molly. It was our first time climbing and she did an excellent job of teaching us how to safely climb and belay. The 2 hours flew by and we even stayed a couple hours after to practice our new skills. We also found out the class came with a free week of gym access, including the yoga studio, which is really nice. We’re looking forward to spending more time here!

Best rock gym in Portland. Fantastic route setting, true grading, and wonderful team. Love the variety of climbs. Love the auto belays for quick lunchtime solo wall workouts.

This is a great gym with awesome staff who are super friendly and helpful. There are always new routes to try and lots of cafe style seating to rest or do work. It’s very affordable and comes with great yoga classes, weight area, cardio area, and plenty of ropes/ bouldering.

I love this gym. The facilities are solid, and the staff is amazing.I went to several other gyms in the area before finally deciding on PRG. One of the big deciding factors between PRG and Movement was that it has a lot of free street parking around the gym, and Movement only has paid which significantly increases the amount I pay every month to go to each. I've been going to the gym for almost a year, and am still happy with my choice.

My wife and I had a great intro to climbing class this morning with Molly and Brendan. They showed us how to get started with figure 8 knots and belaying. It was a laid back and safe environment and was very fun to learn these techniques. They both gave us a lot of time to practice both belaying and climbing on belay. Would definitely recommend this class to anyone new to climbing or interested in learning about belaying!

Took a climbing movement class a week ago with Brandon, assisted by Jeanie. I’ve been getting back into climbing after a couple years off and they were both patient and very attentive to what each climber wanted to get out of the class. I felt both challenged and bolstered to take on problems and walked away with greater understanding of how to get better from here. Great evening spent with my fellow climbers and PRG staff! Cheers.
