Gold's Gym at Willow Lawn offers a 24/7 fitness experience with a wide array of equipment and classes. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and helpful staff, the gym caters to both beginners and fitness enthusiasts. This location is praised for its friendly trainers, like Paige Spencer and Jesse Fuller, and its variety of group classes.
However, the gym faces criticism for billing issues, cleanliness in locker rooms, and the challenging membership cancellation process. I recently joined Golds Gym at the end of November. I take a water aerobics class every Monday and Wednesday night. My class instructor's name is Carmen. You want to talk about a GREAT workout!!!! She is the very best teacher. Every class we go to is different and she pushes us to do our best. I wish we could take this class every night. I highly recommend this class and especially the instructor. Carmen knows how to get results and make your work up to your potential.

We joined gold gym around 2 months back and it is really bang for our bucks. A nice facility with cinema cardio and lots of machines for weight and functional training. The best part of our experience was personal training classes with Paige Spencer. We are taking 4 classes per month and she helps us push past our limits and expose us to different variety of workouts. Also she helps us motivate to attain our personal goals. Also she provided us nutritional counselling to help meet our weight loss goals in addition to our normal workout session. Also, Andrew who is another personal trainer gave us a couple of complementary sessions before we started on our personal training regime.

After being away from any type of exercise for over a decade I joined the Willow Lawn Gold's location in early December. I was very fortunate to have an opportunity to be paired with Paige Spencer for two complimentary personal training sessions. She did a great job of assessing my current fitness level and tailoring a program specific to my goals. After the complimentary sessions, I elected to continue my training program with Paige for another six months. In addition to overall fitness, and analyzing my nutrition, she is also helping with specific exercises to help train for a marathon in June 2018. I have been very pleased with my experience training with Paige, and this Gold's Gym location, and would highly recommend Paige Spencer for anyone looking to improve their overall health and fitness.

The main reason this is my favorite gym is because of my personal trainer, Matt Straughan. I have been through a life-changing weight loss journey in the last year, due largely in part to my sessions with Matt. The results have given me my confidence back, my energy back, and it's been excellent for my mental and emotional health as well. I've lost over 40 pounds working out with Matt, and I'm still going!! I'm about to drop my fifth dress size. The fantastic thing is, he doesn't focus on weight, he focuses on getting you stronger, which in turn enables you to do the exercises that will tone and shape you. When I started out, I couldn't do much and he was very patient, very kind, and worked with me to get me to the level I am now. I branched out after getting more confidence at the gym. He's shown me so many different exercises and how to use all of the equipment properly. I also take a lot of their classes - grit, yoga, and body combat are the best in my opinion. So many people go to the gym and don't know what they're doing and don't understand why they aren't getting results. I'm glad I put my trust in Matt to guide me, I think I'd probably still be at square one if I hadn't. He's also really fun to work out with, he has a great personality and he's funny, he keeps me engaged. It makes the sessions go by quickly. He encourages me as well if I'm struggling to finish those last few reps. I really need that and I don't get that when I'm by myself. They also have a great personal trainer director, Robert Johnson, who actually notices when clients are improving.Overall, I'm really glad I signed up at this gym. I have to emphasize, it's the personal training that makes it stand out to me. They have a good team. Even when Matt is not available, I'll ask one of the other trainers questions for help and they're happy to oblige. Solid gym.

The gym is super crowded and is generally pretty small compared to other gyms I have been to. Also locker rooms could definitely be cleaner. But what actually shows that Gold's Gym has gone downhill is their shady business practice. They have billboards around saying $10 a month and yet when we came in they said it was $20 until I mentioned I saw the billboards. And to take it further, you can't cancel your membership without coming in person on a weekday. I don't know anywhere else you can't cancel at least over the phone, or what the point is of keeping us from being able to do so other than making an angry customer and wasting my time. I used to love Gold's Gym when I went to the one in Midlothian so I'm pretty disappointed.

I have been going to Gold's Gym in Willow Lawn since I moved to Richmond a couple months ago. I have gotten to know some of the staff and they are all wonderful! If you are looking for a personal trainer who will show you the RIGHT way to work out and tailor your experience perfectly to your individual needs, I would definitely ask for Laura Conaghan. She is always showing me new things and making sure my form is correct so that I am getting the most out of my workout. I am already seeing results and feeling more confident about my fitness knowledge thanks to Laura.

I hired Paige Spencer as my personal trainer for three months. She challenged me at every session and was very supportive. We worked on different muscle groups each session. I now know how to use every machine and free weight in the gym. She was always available for questions concerning workouts and nutrition. She even gave me workouts to do without a gym while on vacation. I noticed results almost immediately and I am still continuing the workouts on my own! She was a great support to getting me healthier! I would highly recommend her as a personal trainer!

I joined last November. I love this gym. I love the classes, Zumba is my favorite. The music and work out make you feel like your in the club dancing with your girls. I also like the amount of equipment that is available. You can use the class space for your personal workouts when classes aren’t in session. I recently feel of the bandwagon for 3 months but Gold’s did not give up on me. Mack reached out to meet several times, got be back in the gym and set up with 2 free personal training sessions. I can’t wait to continue my fitness journey. Consistency is so hard but starting over is tougher. I’m proud to say that I’m starting over. Thanks Gold’s!

I joined Gold’s Gym February 2017 and have loved every workout since then! After a few weeks of trying all of the different classes offered I signed up for six months of personal training with Paige Spencer. She was awesome! Not only did she personalize every workout to my needs she always made it fun. We laughed our way through each workout no matter how hard she pushed me. She showed me how to use all the machines, taught me proper form and helped me to feel more confident in myself. Paige even put together a training schedule I could take with me while traveling! After training with Paige I have the strength and the confidence to push myself harder then I thought I could. Shanna Stanley has also been a driving force in my fitness journey at Gold’s. She makes each of her classes challenging and fun. She is super motivating with her stories and her music!! I would take any class Shanna is teaching.

Love this gym! It's in a convenient location and has all the amenities one would need in a gym. My favorite amenity of them all is the Cardio Cinema. I love being able to work out while watching a movie. Lastly, the staff is awesome. Erin McDonald just recently started, but is always smiling, pleasant, and welcoming when I check in.
