I've always believed the old layout at this location ( with two basketball courts) was a much better layout. Overall, the gym area and equipment is in good shape but this location desperately needs updating with the shower/restrooms/pool areas.

Always messy, weights are always scatter all over, basketball court is tiny, too crowded most of the time. However if you go in after 10, it's not so bad.

I like the convenience of 24hr access but this particular location is always dirty. When I brought it to the managers attention I was told more than once that staff is supposed to check the lockers and restrooms every hour. They may check it but they don't clean anything. There's hair and paper on the floor in the restroom/shower area and it just always looks dirty.

Besides having my wallet stolen , I.D theft used and using my debit cards, i give it 1*. Its only good for the 24 hrs access. I will b closing my membership this month due to staffs & policy not in best interests of members as victim & crisis. Such as my stolen wallet. They won't even put up a warning sign about this kind of security issues. Said they don't want to deter members from leaving. Well if u have it up it will prevent THEFT & frauds in the first place. Im leavin this gym now. Also, Peoples always going in to the steam room in front of the steam vents with their nasty ass body odors and fully clothes on with shoes. No one wants to smell UR body odors from the steams. Don't stands in front of that steam vents. This gym is not that great and is over rated. Equipments always broken and body wash in the shower stalls is always empty at nights and on weekends. OK TO JOIN FOR FREE TRIALS AND 24 HRS ACCESS ONLY. GYM FEES AND MEMBERSHIP IS TOO EXPENSIVE. $30/MO. NOT WOTH IT. I RATHER PAY THE EXTRA 10$ FOR CAL FAMILY FITNESS WHICH I HAVE DONE TODAY. SO LONG GHETTO 24 ON CENTER PARKWAY.

outside is cleaner than the inside smh we figured we would go in past 9pm, by that time machines would be available and it wouldn't be as crowded. We walked in and instantly we felt like we just entered a dirty pub. We walked around the gym since it is our first time here and the lights were too dimmed, basketball court lights was off but people were still playing a game, we walked into the swimming pool area and just felt gross. Why are the lights low in the whole gym?!??!?!?!!! We left and drove to Fulton... as soon as I entered Fulton, it was clean, the lights were bright, janitors were already making their way around cleaning the gym.

I've only been here twice, and it seems the employees are really very nice, as well as the other members.. I like their swimming pool too. But I do wish they had a High Dive Board..

I've been going to this gym for years, since about 2003. It's okay but only if you never need to talk to the staff. The equipment usually works, more or less. The current mgmt seems to keep the machines working better than they used to years ago...I don't see nearly as many "out of order" signs and they're not on there for as long. The problem is the staff. If I ever have an issue I bring it to their attention and the attitude is always the same: "That's not something I can help with." "That's not my job." "That's not something I'm going to do anything about." (these are not direct quotes, it's just the gist of the attitudes I keep encountering again and again.) From the lowest employee on the totem pole to the manager (with one exception which I'll explain below), the employees don't care and won't help. Examples:- Years back I called my local location, where I always attend, to ask if my membership included pool use. They looked up my account and said it did, so I came by immediately with my suit, towel, etc. only to see a big sign on the front counter that said the pool was closed for repairs! When I inquired, the staff said "Oh, I didn't know you meant *this* pool! You're allowed to use the pool at any locations including Rancho Cordova" (which is about a 20+ minute drive from my house as opposed to less than 5 minutes to the location I called.). So there's absolutely no going above and beyond here. Staff is poorly trained and can only answer the most basic questions. They don't seem to have the skills, training, or authority to do anything else.- While I was swimming one day, another patron was spitting loogies on the pool deck as he did laps, each time he got to the end. I brought it to an employees attention and he basically said it wasn't his job to deal with and wouldn't get whoever's job it was to handle it. YUCK!- Latest problem was that I saw another patron wearing a shirt with the f-word on it. Now, I'm an adult. I hear it all the time in public. But I don't use that language and would prefer not to see it emblazoned on a shirt while I'm at the gym. But when I asked the staff what their policy was on clothing and explained why, they said they couldn't and wouldn't do anything about it. I find it hard to believe they don't have the right to at least ask that patron to change his shirt. Simple fix. Or if the guy didn't bring a different shirt, let it go one time but request he wear something less offensive next time. The only reason I go is that it's close and cheap. Seriously tired of dealing with the staff. The one sort of nice thing they did once was something that happened after my swimsuit was ruined in their pool. The suit was pretty new and I'd been swimming regularly at their pool with no ill effect to the suit. I went in one day and a patron warned me that she'd just got out of the pool and her eyes were burning and she showed me her suit was faded. I didn't know her so I was like "Oh, that's too bad", but decided to go in the pool anyway. Yikes - they'd put too much chlorine or other chemicals in there and after swimming 30 minutes and rinsing my suit immediately after at the pool shower, it was *sooooo* faded!!!!! Too late!!!! The manager at the time (their last manager, not the current one) was nice about it and after I provided a receipt for the cost of the suit, they gave me gym fees equal to the cost. I had to quit going for a while because of surgery but when I returned, the new (current) mgr. did honor this credit. It was the only good thing the business ever did for me. I would not, in general, recommend this gym.

I don't normally like people staring at me when I'm working out, even though I'm in pretty good shape. But the members at this Center seem to mind there own business, and that's fine with me. I also had some really good advise from some instructors there about certain workouts that really have helped me improve my back and thighs.

I've been disappointed in this 24 Hour Fitness location. It does have a good selection of equipment and facilities, and the place is generally clean. My complaint is really with the free-weight area, which is the only part of the gym I care about. I've been to several different 24 Hour Fitness locations and this one has easily the most disorganized free weight section I've ever seen. I don't expect all the weights to be in perfect order, as that's never the case at any gym, but here they are left all over the place throughout the entire gym, not to mention the ridiculous order of the weights that are actually put on the rack. On several occasions I've needed a specific weight, say 40lbs dumbells, and not been able to find them anywhere. Last time I was there I could only find one 75lbs on the rack and couldn't find the other anywhere, only to see it awhile later in a hard-to-see spot somewhere else. It may just be rude patrons, but it's common for people here to take weights anywhere in the gym and just leave them there. I still don't know what happened to the squat pads that disappeared two weeks ago.
