A few weeks back we had the pleasure of hosting a seminar for our trainers at Bay Club Pleasanton with Victoria as our speaker. I have known Victoria for some time now and have heard her present numerous times, and again I was amazed by her her knowledge and delivery.Victoria spoke for about an hour and a half on all things shoulders. Speaking about how to mobilize, stabilize, and when we should go ahead and refer out. The free flow of the seminar allowed for the trainers to guide the conversation assuring that all questions were answered so everyone was able to get a lot out of the seminar. And it wouldn’t have been a Victoria seminar without some kettlebell work that everyone loved. If you’re able to get a chance to book or attend one of Victoria’s seminars make sure not to pass it up. And if you are ever looking for a physical therapist make sure you reach out to her at Iron Horse PT in San Ramon.

After running my first half marathon and pushing pretty hard, I started to experience some severe arch pain which left me out of pocket for a week. I heard about Ironhorse's services through Fleet Feet facebook group, and immediately contacted Victoria. She was gracious enough to squeeze me in for an appointment even though she was booked solid. During our appointment it became very clear that she is a seasoned professional when it comes to evaluating athletes, especially endurance athletes, and helping them get back to what they love to do most. I followed Victoria's suggestions and recovery plan and am back to running again thanks to her and her team. Thank you Victoria!

I reached out to Victoria after getting injured after my first 100k/12h race in 2022. I was defeated at this point and struggling with an IT band injury and didn’t think I could do those distances anymore. I thought my body wasn’t made for it. Well it turns out I was wrong.Victoria helped me figuring out issues I was unaware I had (that made me had less optimal form over this long of a race) and helped me fine tuning my strength routine. I felt like she truly cared about my training and got how important it was for me as an endurance athlete herself. After my sessions with her, I had a very successful 3rd place at a local 50k trail race 3 weeks ago and just finished my A goal race: Miwok 100k. What is the most amazing is that I reached my goals with no injuries or pain. I felt strong, stable, more balanced. I feel confident that what Victoria taught me will stick around for a very long time as I am planning on being a healthy runner for as long as I can.

Thank you so much for all your help thus far. Amy was amazed by your treatments and suggested strength and conditioning work. As we walked back to my car after the last session on Wed, she said "omg I feel real good. This is amazing". She had tried many other treatments/programs in the past but l had never seen that positive reaction. I also loved the way you listened to her, dissected problems to find root causes and logically explained us in plain English. Thank you and we are very much looking forward to the next sessions.

As a physical therapist myself, I can honestly say that Victoria and her team are awesome- she has several doctors of physical therapy on her team who are experts in getting people out of back, knee , neck and shoulder pain. 2 of them are both certified Pilates certified teachers as well as health care providers. Another 2 are also certified strength & conditioning specialists and specifically work with athletes such as runners, triathletes, crossfitters, gymnasts, golfers , tennis players, soccer players etc. Victoria herself is unique in that she is not only an orthopedic expert with 22+ years of experience but also a pelvic floor PT and certified run coach . She’s also an advanced Kettlebell teacher and often coaches personal trainers in how to train people with various injuries. After helping people get out of pain and recover from their injuries, their clients often transition from PT to their Rehab Pilates program where the PTs and Pilates teachers work together to develop a plan for each client to safely return to fitness . Their goal is to make you as “bulletproof” as possible from future injury and believe in “whole-istic” care . Whether you’re looking to just get out of pain so you can tie your shoes or play with your kids without your back going out or PR at your next marathon or triathlon, Ironhorse PT and Pilates has someone to help you achieve those goals. I highly recommend them!

I attended Victoria’s pelvic floor health workshop and highly recommend that any person who breathes and has a pelvis attend this! My specific problem is stress induced urinary incontinence that started after the birth of my first child, (i.e. I often pee a little bit when I sneeze, cough, jump, or run). I also experienced very painful pubic symphysis disfunction and hip joint pain during both of my pregnancies. Pelvic pain during pregnancy and leaky bladders after childbirth are such normalized things (my doctors were not able to offer any solutions for either) but just because it is so common doesn’t mean it is “normal” and cannot be healed. Despite working in fitness for 14 years, a lot of the information in the workshop was completely new to me. It is certainly something that is not explained very thoroughly in fitness classes even though proper breathing is the basis of all good movement mechanics. We learned proper breathing mechanics as it relates to the pelvic floor. I was so surprised to learned that many hip, back, knee, and even shoulder issues can be caused by a pelvic floor issue, because again, all proper movement mechanics depend on proper breathing mechanics. I realized that the way I was using my pelvic floor muscles was also causing my hip and pelvic pain during pregnancy. Now with this better understanding of how the pelvic floor works and how proper breathing mechanics work, I am much further along in healing the urinary incontinence. I can actually run and jump now! Also I have not developed any pelvic pain in my current pregnancy. Thank you Victoria for spreading this important information!

Victoria and her staff are phenomenal! When I first came to IHPT, I was dealing with daily back pain from a decade old injury. For 3 months I couldn't get out of bed without my back spasming, I was struggling to hold my 6 month old son, my workouts were impacted, and I was just not able to move freely. After two sessions, my pain was gone and I was no longer having back spasms. After 3 sessions, I was able to hit my workouts stronger and was no longer having to modify certain movements. After 4 sessions I started running again and didn't have any flare ups after! So if you're struggling or in pain, go see Victoria and her team NOW! Don't wait. The work they do is worth it's weight in gold! The work they do is amazing, but it's also a team of just incredible and caring people that really want to see their clients feel better. You can tell that Victoria was truly called to help people feel better and move the way their bodies were meant to move. The only downside is that since I'm feeling better, I don't need to see them as often!

As a student, I’ve had a wonderful experience completing an internship at IronHorse PT and Pilates. From observing our PT’s working with their clients, they make every session adapt to individualistic needs as much as possible and what works specifically for their bodies. What makes IronHorse PT stand out from other clinics is that they look to find the root cause of a problem — meaning being attentive to all the factors causing it and making sure that they can provide long-term solutions, instead of just providing short-term fixes that don’t last for the long run. I can really tell that they love seeing your progress as much as you do and want to do the most to help you each step of the way! Along with that, everyone on the team is so friendly, communicative, and always eager to see you for your visit. Going to physical therapy certainly isn’t everyone’s favorite thing, but our PT’s Victoria, Kate, and Colin love what they do and have a passion for improving physical health and wellbeing and they really do create a welcoming environment for every client. Regardless of whether you’re an athlete or just wanting to get your body back to moving how it used to, I’d recommend IronHorse PT and Pilates to everyone.

Victoria is a truly awesome PT. She takes a deep, holistic approach to care that accounts for past injuries, current imbalances, the whole kinetic chain vs. a narrow (and limited) focus on just solving a singular issue - for me a hamstring tear that was caused by multiple factors that needed to be addressed together. I highly recommend her for serious athletes.

Victoria is so knowledgable and down to earth that it created a great environment to share and learn. My eyes were opened to a lot of things about my own body that I could also bring to working with my own pilates clients. I am so happy to have a woman owned business our helping women (she also works with men in her practice and classes but this workshop was for women).I recommend her to everyone normally and was so grateful to get to take this workshop for myself!
