I'm an active person which leads me to need PT from time to time. Thanks to the team at Ironhore PT and Pilates for giving me the tools to help my back feel better. After 10 sessions of PT, I continued doing my 'home' based exercises and started taking the pilates class to strengthen my core. Last week I was in the mountains shoveling heavy snow and was so please that I could wake up the next day without feel any ill effects from shoveling. I learned proper posture and form for doing some of these heavier tasks and it worked! The team at Ironhorse Pilates are good listeners and knowledgeable.

Victoria & her whole team are the #1 place to go for exceptional care and treatment! I was fortunate enough to have Victoria's help in resolving my knee issues so I could run pain free and confidently. I also had the pleasure of taking her kettlebell class that far exceeded my expectations and I was so thankful for the hands on feedback and form corrections in order to up my game. Whenever a fellow athlete asks for a recommendation for physical therapy or expresses they need help I ALWAYS send them to Ironhorse.

I had a severe hip/leg/arm injury in 2020. After a year of Kaiser PT my progress went as far as it could there, so my surgeon’s office recommended I find manual therapy and Pilates. After much research, Ironhorse PT & Pilates is the highest rated manual therapy I’ve seen, with the added bonus of Pilates! I started seeing Victoria in October of 2021. She evaluated my gait and during my very first evaluation she instantly could see my weak areas & how she could help strengthen the muscles around my injuries which would improve my gait. Although she knew it would take a great deal of time, it was doable! Yay! This was very encouraging to me because I had felt that I’d forever be with the severe pain and the cane! Kate took over my PT/Manual therapy using various techniques including cupping, strengthening exercises, and PT guided Pilates with each appointment. Kate is truly amazing! She has an extraordinary ability to see exactly where my weakest areas are and comes up with creative and very useful techniques that are uniquely tailored for my body. When I first arrived there, I had severe pain walking with my cane, along with pain laying on my surgery side, lots of sharp pains and numbing/tingling sensations. The manual therapy helped break up some of the scar tissue from surgery. I now can lay on my surgery side with little to no pain, the numbing/tingling has improved tremendously and now I’m able to walk with my cane with much less pain. She designed a weekly at home exercise program that honed in on specific muscle groups to improve mobility & my gait. Kate moved me into their weekly Pilates classes with Shideh, which is truly wonderful! Shideh is a Pilates expert and keeps a very keen eye on body movements while exercising. She’s very encouraging but also a big advocate for mindfulness on how you move your body correctly and the importance of strengthening of the body’s core. I love how they all work very closely together- Shideh is aware of my specific limitations and goals & tailors the routines accordingly for all the students there. Because of their team work, guidance and expertise, I’ve improved substantially in my mobility, strength, pain level as well as my gait. Although I still have pain, and the cane, I am much improved which wouldn’t have happened without their help! thank you!I highly recommend them!

I was a very active tennis player and hiker, but had to stop both activities in late 2015, due to pain and swelling in my left knee. My knee would get sore and swell after a short walk and would sometimes just buckle on me. I had surgery on my left knee for both medial and lateral meniscus tears and osteoarthritis behind my kneecap in 2016 and completed several months of physical therapy sessions. In 2018, my orthopedic surgeon advised that I could resume playing tennis and hiking in moderation. After a couple of months of playing tennis 1-2 times per week, I noticed that my knee would swell, even though I would ice it and take anti-inflammatory medication. I stopped playing tennis to rest and strengthen my knee; but when I resumed playing, the swelling and discomfort would start again. I even got a cortisone injection in my knee, knowing that it was a temporary solution. I wanted to stop this vicious cycle and get my knee as strong and healthy as possible. My research into physical therapists that worked with athletes lead me to Ironhorse PT and Pilates and I began working with Victoria in July 2021. Victoria diagnosed that my knee problem was also caused by hip and ankle issues (they are all connected). She developed a comprehensive and increasingly challenging PT plan for me and would use different treatment modalities during my office visits. Victoria also took time to explain how the different exercises would help me and always asked what I did (activity wise), how I was feeling, were any exercises getting too easy for me, etc. My hip-knee-ankle are now all much stronger and flexible. I also have a much better idea on how to manage my activities and what to do if I get any discomfort from them. The best part is that I can now play tennis, hike, bike, and do other sports with family and friends (who I missed seeing) and without taking anti-inflammatory medication! I strongly believe that Victoria is helping me to be active for as long as possible! Thank you Victoria!

I'm 75, and had an increasingly bad case of sciatica. My primary doctor assigned me some sessions of PT, which I did with his medical group After a couple of months, nothing had improved. My wife told me that she and several of her friends had been helped by Ironhorse PT. Although I have to pay out of pocket, I decided to try it. Working with Kate, I improved over a two-month period, to the point that I took a 10 day hiking trip on the rugged coast of Crete. I'm still using Ironhorse PT in a maintenance mode and continue to improve my back strength.I recommend Ironhorse PT to anyone who has chronic back issues, even if other PT didn't help you.

I came to see Victoria about 9 months ago after injuring my elbow. What I thought was an injury to my elbow was actually tightness across shoulder, and neck muscles, and my rotator cuff. I worked with Victoria on exercises to loosen and stretch the offending muscles and some bodywork to try and loosen them directly. The combination worked. As an extra bonus: I had done Pilates a couple of decades ago and then stopped after I herniated a disc (from something else). I started up Pilates at Ironhorse and have been happily working with Shideh for the past 6 months. I has been great getting back into form!

I can’t say enough about the team at iron horse pt and especially the owner Victoria Liu. As a physician who often refers patients out for physical therapy I am always on the lookout for a personalized approach to musculoskeletal medicine. Victoria helped me rehab in 10 sessions from a very scary fall and resultant hip injury so that I could return to competitive tennis with confidence. I also appreciate that she provides pelvic floor rehab for prenatal and postnatal moms since this is an often overlooked aspect of the whole process of giving birth. I feel confident referring patients here after the excellent care that I myself received. Kudos!

As a physical therapist myself, I can quickly decipher great PT from poor PT. Victoria and what she has built with Ironhorse Physical Therapy is exactly what great PT looks like and what the rest of the profession should be aiming to emulate. I've seen first hand how much they take care of each and every one of their patients and the amazing results they have been able to achieve for them. If you're physically active and have been underwhelmed by the traditional, run of the mill practice then give Ironhorse Physical Therapy a shot and I promise you that it will be a breath of fresh air and completely different from other PT experiences you have had. Thanks Victoria for structuring your practice the way you have and helping show people what PT should be!

When I came to see Victoria couple months I had already been dealing with back pain and tightness and associated issues for a period of time. I had been to physical therapy with other providers, massage and other things that were just not making a difference and more importantly I was exhausted with the lack of improvement and symptoms.Victoria started the therapy only after a thorough analysis of my state. The exercises gave me options to not only stretch but also strengthen in a safe manner without aggravating my back. The exercises are tailored to my needs, Victoria provides pictures and videos for reference at home. I also started pilates sessions with Kate, an another excellent PT that works at Iron Horse PT.Fast forward few months, I am back to being able to do my favorite hikes, start exercising but more importantly I have a learnt a lot about my body and the right way to exercise. While I still have ways to go I am deeply grateful both to Victoria and Kate for helping me progress.

For the past 4 years I have seen Victoria for 3 different issues. Her diagnostic skills are spot on. She has gotten me back into solid shape more quickly than any previous regimen. She got me ready for a 240 mile hike after a bad ski fall which injured one knee. Then 2 years later helped me rehab the other knee back to full range of motion. I am currently taking a mat pilates group class at the office and am enjoying the professional training from Kate. I highly recommend Ironhorse PT.
