I've been working with another PT for 13 weeks 2 times/week before joining Ironhorse PT & Pilates. I was at a point where I was ready to succumb to surgery for my shoulder and it was at this time when my personal trainer referred me to IH PT.My evaluation with Victoria informed me of things that I had not been made aware of and was eye opening. I was asked relevant questions pertaining to my shoulder I was never asked before and it all made sense. Since then, almost 10 weeks of hour sessions with Victoria I've made improvements I had not been able to achieve before. The 50 minute sessions with her has given me the ability to move and use my shoulder again in ways I hadn't been. She's very supportive and provides me with information I need to self-manage and care for my shoulder in between our session. Her website is full of information and it's been more than helpful. I look forward to our weekly session it's very comforting to be in good hands. I've referred my husband to Victoria who's been dealing with pain from a foot injury/surgery sustained over 15 years ago. I'm confident he, too, will find relief and answers to his ongoing suffering. Thank you Victoria!

I have had back problems for most of my adult life. About 3 years ago, I had a back injury. Prior to the injury, I was running 3-4 times a week and working out everyday. After my injury, I could not do any of it. My condition got progressively worse to the point that it hurt my back and hip just walking 10 minutes at a slow pace. During that time frame, I saw a chiropractor who provided temporary relief, but the pain continued. I had massages, saw a physical therapist through my insurance provider for several months, and ended up seeing a spine specialist. I had X-rays, MRI, was on pain medication at my worst, and took nerve pain medication as well. None of that worked until I saw Victoria at Ironhorse PT.Victoria provided a very thorough evaluation and was able to pin point what my issues were. She taught me so much about my body and exercises to strengthen all the different areas that affect my back and hip. While I still have flare ups here and there, I now have a better idea of how to handle those flare ups. With Victoria's help and taking Pilates classes once a week with either PT Kate, Shideh, or Rocio (all are fantastic instructors and helped me maintain good form during class to prevent injury), I am now able to run 2-2.5 miles several times a week. I feel stronger and have done exercises and used weights that I did not think I could handle. I highly recommend Ironhorse PT!

Victoria is fantastic! I was referred to Ironhorse PT when I suffered a serious lower back injury while competing in a triathlon. Within 2 months of working with Victoria, I was back to competing and even found a spot on the podium! Victoria is incredibly understanding and passionate about helping athletes reach their full potential. Rather than taking the, "time-off," approach, Victoria created a rehab plan around my injury that still allowed me to train for future races, which was HUGE. I was also fortunate enough to have Victoria cheer me on at 2 of my most recent races. She is not only a great PT, but an incredible supporter and influence to anyone whose lucky enough to meet her!

I am a personal trainer and I met Victoria through a Pain Free workshop, she is one of the best Physical Therapist I have met. Most therapist become complacent in their field after a few years. Victoria has over 15+ years of experience and continues to dedicate and prioritize on continue education to keep up with the latest evidence based practice. I recommend one of my postpartum client to her to a workshop, during this one visit Victoria did an assessment and provided some tips and recommendations. Within a few weeks my client was able to fix her Diastasis recti and improved her pelvic floor significantly!! Thank you for taking your time to help her out Victoria!! You are a blessing.

PT is not exciting to do. There, I said it. No one likes doing things they are not good at, and PT typically involves working on our weak spots, addressing imbalances, and working on micro movements to perfect form and function. As a triathlete, injury is the barrier to doing the things we love to do–swimming, biking and running as fast as possible. But all of those things take a toll on our bodies especially as we get older and try to squeeze increasingly intense and longer workouts into our already congested schedules that include work and family. In January of this year (2022) I was not able to complete a single hop on my left leg. On July 10, 2022 I completed a half ironman to celebrate my 50th birthday and I crossed the finish line pain free. I'm not gonna lie, it was hard, but I ran without injury pain and I woke up the next day feeling fatigued, but again, no pain. My journey started in Feb 2018, when I had a back surgery to address severely impinged discs and consistent chronic pain in my lower back and glutes. My return to triathlon was slow and my coach was careful not to move me along too fast, but I started to feel the injuries creeping back in. As soon as I started ramping up my efforts, I'd find myself back on the "bench", especially when it came to running. I spent a couple of years in this "on-off" state, I switched up my shoes, I bought all of the tools to roll various body parts and used ART for a quick hit to try to keep things moving, and for the most part I did, but it was limiting. I finally hit the wall in November 2021 and knew that for me to get back to racing proper I needed to do something different. I needed to make PT my top priority. I needed to start peeling back the layers of 50 years of stress on my body, addressing old injuries that had not been properly rehabilitated, years of bad posture, years of sitting, years of working in front of a screen, years of movements that are all focused forward and fast. No quick fixes, just time, persistence and consistency. Victoria was referred to me by a fellow triathlete, I loved that she's an athlete, a triathlete, a mom, a business owner and a woman. I felt she would be able to relate my situation. Victoria was honest with me from the start, she did not make any promises of quick fixes or a guarantee that I'd complete my race in July, and I liked that. She made it clear that I had to see her regularly, that I had to provide detailed feedback at every appointment, that I had to do the work, that I had to be honest with her and that PT was never going away - it was something I would always need to do as part of my training. And so I did the work. I made this my training priority. I was consistent. And, I completed my goal. I've got several more races on the schedule for this year, and I signed up to race Oregon again next year (well now I have a benchmark). So PT continues :-)

I had an amazing experience with Ironhorse PT team. I was having slight mobility issues with my left upper leg and it got healed in no time. Both Dr. Victoria and Dr.Kate have been wonderful to work with. They were very patient to listen to the issues I brought and nailed the root cause and worked on it during the PT sessions. Provided follow up home workout exercises and detailed documents after each session. Office staffs are very friendly too and help with timely reminders and emails to make sure we don’t miss the sessions. Throughly enjoyed working with them and highly recommend the team to anyone looking for physical therapy sessions or Pilates classes.

Victoria has been a pleasure to work with. I have had persistent ankle pain / mobility issues due to past injuries. This hasn't been a major concern for me until recently, as I have changed my fitness goals. When it came to distance running, I would experience knee pain due to limited ankle mobility. I had never received professional treatment before, so I reached out to Victoria and have been happy with the result. She identified areas of weaknesses and the ways in which my body would compromise due to a lack of ankle mobility. To help address these issues, Victoria suggested a few sets of exercises that I now do routinely. This has definitely improved my ankle mobility and reduced pain while running. Overall, I've had a great experience at Ironhorse PT and would highly recommend their services!

Victoria and all of her staff are absolutely incredible. My journey to being pain free is not a short one. I have 2 degenerative discs in my lower back that are very thin. The doctor was not helpful with viable options besides surgery so I started managing the ongoing pain with chiropractic care. I did this for years but I HAD to go to the chiropractor every 1.5-2 weeks in order to remain pain free. Every time I flew, had a long car ride, or every time I tried to stretch the timing out between adjustments, I would end up back in pain. My doctor then recommended that I try physical therapy. I stayed in-network and I went to who I was recommended to (not Ironhorse PT). I remained clueless as to what was actually going on with my body and why I was still in pain. The 10 weeks of physical therapy that I had gone to left me thinking the only next step was surgery. I went back to the doctor and that was the option that was presented to me. I didn't accept surgery as an option. I was fortunate enough to have some amazing friends that recommended me to Victoria and her team so I took another shot at Physical Therapy, after all, it couldn't hurt in comparison to surgery right?! I first saw Victoria and she was AMAZING. She took the time to fully assess, explain, and create a game plan that was presented to me in a manner that made logical sense. Addressing the whole body, not just the part that hurts. Throughout my journey at Ironhose PT, at some point in time I think I worked with everyone that Victoria had on staff at her office. (I'll digress in saying that Victoria has high standards and drives to work with people that meets her passion for knowledge and helping people. You will be in amazing hands with anyone that Victoria puts her trust in.) Now back to my journey :) I started with PT sessions, diligently doing my homework. Given the tools for the most bang for my buck... my homework exercises only took about 5 minutes a day. I asked many questions along the way to understand why I was doing exercises and I was always met with patience because Victoria and her team know that if I care and can understand the why, that i'll have better success! I like lifting heavy weights and running. I added in the semi-private pilates sessions once a week. Talk about game changer. I learned so much more about why I was doing exercises in Physical Therapy and I learned about better form form for weight lifting from pilates. True story. Pilates made me realize how to deactivate muscle groups that shouldn't be involved in exercises. It taught me to slow down and know body position in exercises. After pilates I worked with a physical therapist at Ironhorse to build up strength in deficit muscle groups that were important to remain pain free. I continued physical therapy because I FELT AMAZING. I kept going to physical therapy every 2-3 weeks to learn how to self assess and self treat. The team was amazing. This entire process for me took about a year but I knew it was an investment in me, my health, and avoiding surgery. After that first year, I joined the small group kettlebell class with Victoria. Victoria knew me, she knew what to watch for, she knew how to motivate, correct and keep pushing me forward. It's probably been 4-5 years ago now, from when I first walked into Ironhorse Physical Therapy and I'm happy to say that I am pain free! I've had some tune ups with Victoria along the way and I've also done self assessments to get myself back on track. But I know how! Here I am, pain free 5 years after being told surgery was my only option. This is a long way of saying that all of the staff at Ironhorse is amazing. Trust them. Trust the process and you won't be disappointed.

I have used Ironhorse Physical Therapy & Pilates Inc. to help with my running and felt that the attention to detail was top notch. The owner, Victoria Liu is well informed and educated, but most of all, she really cares about the people she is interacting with. Being in the fitness industry myself, as a personal trainer and a coach, I am very particular about who I choose to work with and who I chose to refer to other people. I recently was plagued by plantar fasciitis and went to Victoria for some guidance. She was so helpful. I will continue to utilize Ironhorse Physical Therapy and to recommend this company to people I know and coach. The amount of attention and detail given to the clients is top notch.

I’m a novice athlete. About a year ago I decided that I wanted to train more seriously for soccer (I’m 27, and work a desk job 40+ hours a week). I started running more and discovered kettlebells for strength training. However, I kept getting injured. I learned more about technique and addressed some issues with mixed results, but I kept hurting my shoulder while doing kettlebell training. Finally, about eight weeks ago I came to terms with the fact that I needed help, but I wasn’t entirely sure how to find it. I found Victoria online because of her expertise in running and kettlebells. She immediately showed me that my entire left backside was messed up (the pain was only manifesting in my shoulder), and soon after pointed out that I was flaring my ribs during overhead lifts and other activities. This destabilized my core and ultimately resulted in shoulder pain. After just six visits with Victoria, I can now train with kettlebells with no pain whatsoever. The next step is to work on running, and I have no doubt Victoria will be able to help. I’ve learned so much these past eight weeks, and I’d definitely recommend Victoria to any athlete experiencing injury!
