One of the great pieces of luck I’ve ever had was running across Victoria and her practice.I first tried to get fit with triathlon training in 2014, and promptly had a minor bike crash on Foothill Boulevard. I met Victoria as she patched up my knee, but little did I know that it would be a life changing meeting.I kept in touch with her and used her run coaching and physical therapy practice for several years. All of that really helped with my mobility and continued ability to do half marathons and triathlons for several years. In 2019 she encouraged me to try fitness/weight loss coaching with Andrew Read, a friend of hers. I trusted her expertise and judgment, and worked with him on a journey that ultimately led to a massive and sustained amount of weight loss for me over 18 months.Even now as I’m ramping up to a much higher training load, her advice on mobility and strength have greatly helped with my ability to swim, bike, and run. Working with her has let me continue to do the workouts I love to do with friends. If you show up, listen, and do the work, Victoria can be life changing for you!

Despite doing yoga and regular exercise for 20+ years I developed a chronic lower back problem that continued to worsen for 2 years causing a lot of pain. I had seen my medical doctor, chiropractor and a fascia specialist with no real results and was feeling discouraged until I was referred to Victoria at Ironhorse. She changed everything for me by actively listening to what I described, diagnosing my issue - I had begun to compensate in my movements from an injury many years before that ultimate resulted in chronic pain. We worked on the problem over time and I am now totally healed. When Victoria told me it was time to “bullet proof” my back I knew I was golden. I’m now lifting heavy weights, doing yoga and yard work with no limitations. I feel empowered and have learned so much about my body in the process thanks to Victoria’s supportive and knowledgeable approach.

In July of 2021 I injured my knee while running. In the six months following this, I saw several physical therapists, none of them providing any improvement to my condition. In fact - it was getting worse. The knee pain became constant, especially while walking or cycling, and I was not able to run at all. Through an extremely fortuitous referral, I came to be in the care of Victoria, Megan, and the rest of the team at Ironhorse Physical Therapy. From the first visit, I had confidence that I was going to be able to run again. The knowledge that Victoria has - and the care with which she applies it to her patients - has returned me to running, mountain biking, and everything that I wasn't able to do. She had insights about the mechanics of my movement and the nuances of treating my injury that nobody else had, and it made all the difference. I am so grateful that I chanced upon these wonderful people!

Victoria and her company Iron Horse PT & Pilates are the REAL DEAL. Victoria talks the talk and walks the walk. I know her on a personal level as well as professional. I recently took her Bullet Proof Runners clinic and learned several great take-aways. I appreciate that Victoria doesn’t claim that “you’ll be fixed by doing this one thing”. She makes it clear that running, recovery, staying injury free and if injured is a PROCESS not a quick fix. She approaches her friends and patients with knowledge, empathy and just 100% good vibes!! You walk away with a smile on your face even if that walk is a limp from something you need to work on.I will be back under Victoria’s attentive eye and open heart in the future.

I have loved my experience with Ironhorse Physical Therapy & Pilates, Victoria has been amazing to work with and I felt supported every step of the way. I initially looked into physical therapy for postpartum backpain and weak pelvic floor. I'd get horrible back pain just going about my life with a one year old toddler and 3 older children. I also had occasional leaking and couldn't do any running/jumping without leaking. I finally made the call after not being able to walk for 30mins without taking medicine for my back pain afterward. I felt broken and discouraged that I'd be able to do any kind of exercise if I couldn't even walk!I'd heard that Victoria was the one to see from the community Facebook page as she could make things happen when other physical therapists couldn't. Victoria did a thorough initial evaluation and made me feel welcome just as I was. She got specific into what my movement goals were and then I went home with a set of homework exercises right away! Every time we met I felt accepted, safe, and supported in my goals. Even when life got crazy and I didn't do the homework, I felt encouraged and empowered not judged. It was amazing to get specialized evaluation and treatment/exercise plans that addressed the specific concerns I had each appointment. The office staff was also very helpful with scheduling and any questions I had.In a few short weeks I was seeing improvement in my back pain and after a few months I was moving about my day pain free! Lifting my heavy toddler wasn't an issue, bending to do laundry was a breeze and I could walk for over an hour with no problems. The leaking also improved and I didn't feel the need to wear pantyliners all the time just in case. I could sneeze and lift without worries.I'm so glad that I made the call and started my physical recovery after having four kids. I feel stronger and more capable to do what needs to be done while not having pain every day. I also feel more confident in my body and I'm excited to keep moving and try different kinds of exercise something that wasn't possible when I started physical therapy.

I’ve been going to Ironhorse physical therapy for about three months. Victoria has been fantastic, she’s help me with several issues particularly my right knee. You stay with your therapist the entire time they don’t pass you off to someone else after 20 minutes. I will continue my therapy treatments with Victoria but I’ve now graduated to only once a month (I was going once a week when I started). I highly recommend this establishment.

Iron Horse Physical Therapy and Pilates is simply the best PT in the area. Victoria is phenomenal and takes so much time to help diagnose issues (no matter how subtle) and provide the appropriate treatment to guide back to great health.I started my journey at Iron Horse PT in Feb, 2021 due to chronic back pain issues (this stemmed from the pandemic related work from home on a poor desk/chair). When I started at Iron Horse PT, I could barely walk or get off the bed/couch or chair without sharp searing back pain. Through a series of gentle stretches to increasingly challenging exercise routine to address my specific needs, Victoria helped me to regain my mobility and become pain free. It was an amazing transformation. Victoria goes above and beyond to help identify the source of issue to be able to provide the correct treatment. Victoria holds the bar very high for herself and her team of staff for care standards and always meets them.Additionally, once I was able to gain mobility, I migrated to Iron Horses Pilates Rehab treatment with Shideh (an another incredible health care provider). With Pilates rehab, I have continued to gain and build strength in a very caring, injury free and safe environment. I plan to continue with the Pilates program as Shideh tailors her classes to our individual needs (which is impossible to find in other studios). I love that it’s is a small class format (3-4 people max) which leads itself to individual attention to address each of our specific needs. I plan to continue building strength and endurance well into the future. If you are looking for a PT and rehab studio that is simply excellent (and a far cut above other standard practices), I highly recommend giving Iron Horse Physical Therapy a try.

My chiropractor recommended seeing Ironhorse PT to make a lasting impact on core and back strengthening (not just a monthly temporary fix). A licensed PT first did a thorough evaluation followed by starting weekly individual or small group classes to make sure workouts are tailored, effective and safe! Besides feeling and looking great, it's an awesome and fun team to work with! Keep up the good work.

Dr. Kate did a thorough assessment before beginning my exercise program. She listened carefully to my personal goals. Then she showed me how to do the Pilates exercises correctly! She also provided descriptions of exercises to continue to do at home to help me regain strength and stand tall and straight again!I feel so much better and have improved so much in just 6 months. I’m also aware that the Pilates studio chain I attended did not provide corrections and I KNOW now that I was not doing hardly any exercises correctly. I love the Pilates weekly Trio class which still allows me to have personal adjustments to certain exercises. And I add additional personal sessions when I need more time with Dr. Kate.Additional useful information: I am 70 and I am getting strong again!! I just finished walking a half marathon too!! This is the BEST exercise program I’ve ever done. It’s perfect my healthy retirement goals.

I went to see Victoria the owner of Ironhorse PT as a last resort after almost 2 years of left shoulder pain. My pain started while swim training for a half Ironman, but I pushed through assuming it would resolve after I stopped training, but the pain continued. I ignored it and started modifying my daily activities - I couldn't wrap a towel around me using my left arm at all and it was difficult to get my shirt on. Eventually the pain was waking me up at night and it was even painful when swinging my arm while walking. I went to my doctor and had an MRI of my shoulder which didn't show anything major - 'mild inflammation/tendinitis of the rotator cuff'. I was referred to an in network PT for 6 sessions and was given band exercises to try to strengthen my shoulder but after a few sessions the pain worsened so I stopped going. I eventually called Victoria and went in for an evaluation. At the first visit she said my shoulder wasn't the origin of my pain and it was related to the tension and weakness in my neck and upper back and core. She gave me a regimen of very basic exercises to strengthen my back and core and my pain started to improve. I then started attending Pilates - first with Victoria and then weekly with Kate (who is awesome!) to improve my core and back and shoulder strength more and within a couple of weeks my shoulder was completely pain free. To this day I don't have any shoulder pain. I was even able to get back to swimming without pain. I have never met anyone who knows the body and is able to figure out the core problem as well as Victoria. I highly recommend Victoria and her team to everyone!
