Been training here for about a year and a half off and on. The coaches know their stuff, they always make sure each person is doing everything right and their teaching methods are always very clear and simple. It makes it very easy for first-timers or rookies to catch on quickly and start feeling confident fast. There are classes every day of the week so anyone can find a time they're able to make it. Everyone there is super helpful and kind and they all make you feel welcome and appreciated. Absolutely love this place, and I'll continue training for the foreseeable future. The price is a bit high, but in my opinion absolutely worth it. The people there and the experiences and training you gain can't be labeled with a price tag.Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn quality self-defense and get stronger and fitter in the process.

I have found another family here. The coaches as well as the other students are extremely supportive and show an interest in how everyone is doing not just in Jiu Jitsu but in life. It is changing my life for the better!

Starting Jiujitsu at an older age is tough. Finding GB Sandy was the perfect find. The Professor and coaches are top of the line. The environment is friendly. The focus is safety and learning proper technique. I would recommend Sandy Gracie Barra to anyone wanting to take on a new adventure.

My son has been attending this school for a year. Coach Erin is wonderful with the kids. My 5 year old has learned a lot from Coach Erin, Coach Daniela and the other coaches. They are what kept us going to the Sandy location. They are attentive to detail and make sure your kid’s technique is correct. Most of the time, it’s 2 kids to 1 coach. They have a kids class at 10 AM which is great for our homeschooling schedule. My son enjoys it. Daniela is super welcoming, friendly and accommodating to your needs. The professor is very knowledgeable and good at keeping the kids disciplined. The evening kids classes are a little crowded, so less attention on each individual child’s technique, imo. Lots of comps in the area to sign up for which is great to give your kid something to work towards.

Started jiujitsu so my wife and 4 daughters could learn practical and effective self-defense and to do something together as a family. Top-quality instruction, great community, and lots of fun. I often spar with my kids, and - no joke - if I let my guard down, my <50lb 7 year old would choke me out. Definitely sleep better at night knowing the girls know how to handle themselves in tough situations.

This is my favorite gym in the valley! I’ve been to a couple now and this one feels most like home. The class sizes here are perfect and make for a wonderful environment. Here, everyone leaves their ego off the mat and is ready to help each other. Can’t say enough great things! I’m thanks everyone at GB Sandy! Especially professor Duayne and the coaching staff.
