The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, joyful. The instructors encourage no judgement, pressure or expectations, along with working at your own pace. The facility is clean along with work out props. I have been going for around 18 months. My lung volume has tripled, my range of motion is back where it was 20 yrs ago. I sleep much deeper, and the stress relief is amazing. I live a lot more in the present too.

I have suffered with chronic neck, back and knee pain most of my life. Practicing hot yoga at Mountain Yoga Sandy the past 2 1/2 years has done more to help relieve daily pain than anything else. Even my chiropractor has told me, "Keep doing the yoga. It's working!". I enjoy each of the instructors there and appreciate their friendliness too.

I love Mountain yoga! They provide come-as-you-are, excellent hot and regular yoga throughout the day. Class times are convenient, and they even give a discount for cleaning the studio if that is something you need.

I don't know whether I love or hate this place. Which ABSOLUTELY means I LOVE this place! There has not been a class in the last 2 months I have not left feeling challenged, emotional, determined and relaxed; most of all, truly engaged with my body. Each teacher actually brings a different vibe and all of them are incredibly kind. Joi Straaten brings fun and practicality and is completely approachable when you have questions, Marc Linton is earthy and intense as a teacher. The elemental aspects of this yoga are fun to engage with and there is NO judgement in the place. I am excited to have found a home for learning more about my body and what it can do.

I started my yoga practice at a bikram studio years ago. I LOVE hot yoga, I didn't think I would as I am not a big fan of the heat, or humidity for that matter. The woman who invited me was a friend of mine, and we went in the same car, I understood 1/2 through class. It was her car and that way I could not leave early. Now years later, at Mountain Yoga, I LOVE the options offered. There are a plethora of 60-90 minute classes of all sorts, and I can take a class basically anytime of day that works for me. I walk in and always feel like I am among friends who care about my success.Even if heat and humidity are not your thing, this is something you REALLY owe yourself a go at. It is my gift to myself every time I take a class!

I have been in Utah about 9 months now, trying out all the studios in the Salt Lake and surrounding areas. This is the first studio that has true community, that is living and breathing yoga in every facet of what they do. The teachers are just incredible and the energy of the studio and the people that practice there is just terribly refreshing.

I tried several studios in the area before coming to YMS and am so happy I found them! They have a variety of classes (not just bikram) for all abilities and several classes as day which makes it easy to make it to the mat. The studio and bathrooms are always very clean and the staff kind as could be. Not all classes are hot but the hot classes are definitely bearable unlike other humid studios. Very happy with my membership and the instructors!

Best Yoga Studio Ever!!! In fact, it’s more than “just” the best yoga studio. Not only arethe teachers the best I’ve ever experienced (in my 10 years of practicing), Mountain Yoga Sandy also offers Pilates & Barre classes, AND child care! They try harder than any other studios I’ve tried to make personal wellness & living in your highest good available and enticing to everyone! They work harder than any other studios I’ve experienced to give you maximum benefit each and every time you show up. They are so specific, kind, & loving with their words; helping your body and mind in ways I can’t even describe. They have changed my life for the better so many times already, and still continue to every time I practice.I am so grateful to have found such a fabulous place to grow, and to let go!

I have been coming here during my lunch hour and love it! The class challenges me and the instructor explains everything really well. As someone who is just starting to get into yoga I think this class is good for all skill levels. Their facility is also really nice with a spacious locker room with showers and space to store your stuff.

Great variety for all levels, fabulous instructors. My husband and I rejoined MYS recently and we've been very happy. Their yoga philosophy and instruction helps everyone at every level reach their goals or take their practice to a new level. There are hot and temperate yoga classes... there are even classes for relaxing and stretching--great after a hard day of yard work or hiking.
