Small and outdated. Equipment from when I started here back in 03. People who are the “expert fitness fanatics” like to stare and laugh and there’s a small lunch time clique that take over the whole downstairs. A lot of the machines are broken. Nothing like the new, clean PF in Troy and other locations with upgraded machines that actually have iPhone 6 and up chargers and TVs that work. I don’t really like going here anymore as it is outdated and often dirty. Forgot to add the odd tall short blonde haired lady standing over me wanting to use the machine (she’s been there for years talking peoples ears off and wanting them off of machines) and then deciding she doesn’t want to use it. No where to even hang your key anymore. Does “management” not see how bad it is when they only have one machine for each exercise and many of them are old and broken? They also have the super old treadmills. Join a newer PF in Troy or Amsterdam. Can’t wait to go and cancel my membership and join Best! :) I mean who doesn’t have a place to hang your keys?!

Been going to this gym on and off for years, its a convient location and my experience inside has always been positive. Staff always busy cleaning up and assisting. Made a few friends over the years that I still hold.The equipment is pretty standard for most gyms, plenty of tread mills, ellipticals etc. Free weights are limited to a side corner so dropped 1 star for that.

I just purchased a black hard membership a few days ago because of how good this gym is. The staff is amazing and the equipment is also amazing. All of them tell you what muscles it works out. I am surprised that I have abs only after a week or week and a half of being at this gym. I go here everyday of the week and have one or two rest days.

2 floors of equipment and everything seems nice and newish, the staff are a little... Stiff is the word I'm gonna use, respectful and helpful but not approachable at all. Super clean, but that's to be expected of a planet fitness. I've got a membership and I love going when it's not busy... Hours are a little weird, I'm used to having a 24 hour availability.

They change night staff too much, the last crew was better at cleaning and maintaining the place, but the new guys are super nice and helpful. Another plus is they have allot of equipment

Rotterdam planet fitness is small and a little outdated . When we were there they only had one person working in the whole place. So no one was there to give us a tour of the place. The girl working the counter told us to give us our selfs a walking tour. So not to sure this would be a good fit for us.

The “manager” Jayden is completely rude and treats you like nothing but the dirt on the bottom of his shoe. I have tried to cancel my membership 3 times now, without any past balance to find out they are still charging my account for the past year. And again for the ps few months/weeks. When You call, he hangs up on you. Doesn’t give you anyone to talk to other then “he can’t do anything for you”. He is the definition of a scumbag. And I will NEVER go to planet fitness again because of him. Now they have stolen over $500 in the past year that I should have been “cancelled”.

Been a PF customer for over 3 years, Recently moved to dallas . Came back to Schenectady and tried using pf but i was told i would have to pay in order to use the gym for one day, which i find ridiculous. The Rep had to sense of customer service. All he said was" Alright 5$ and you can use the gym". I have never had any problem using planet fitness in any other locations in albany. There customer service is horrible ( only the one in schenectady , ny). I would never recommend this location to anyone. Will cancel my membership with planet fitness only because of The worst experience i had in schenectady location.
