I have been taking my 7 year old son here for a month now. My son tells me how much he loves the classes. My fiance and I also get to watch each class on the side bench inside, and we are very impressed with the coaches and professors.

My child has attended classes at Gracie Barra Tacoma for only a short time, but he is learning a whole lot more rapidly than the previous academy he attended.Gracie Barra Tacoma gives more attention to learning and safety, maintains a disciplined and professional enviornment, while still being friendly and allowing students to enjoy their training.I wish I had known about this academy earlier, but I'm glad I found it.

It’s been over a year since I last trained at GB Tacoma and I can say this school is more than that. It’s a family. Best team I’ve ever trained with and if I could start my jiu jitsu journey over I would start with them. Professor Josh and Professor Abel are some of the two most humble humans I’ve met, and their skill levels are some of the best I’ve ever seen. Miss you guys a ton.

Really great place and friendly people! The professors are very knowledgable and the higher belts are really helpful to new people like me and very willing to help. I have a lot of injuries and they are very purposefully careful when doing instruction and actually doing the moves on the mat. I look forward to the classes every week even despite when I accidentally mess up my own schedule in show up on the wrong day haha I highly recommend this gym

My daughter has recently joined and has loved every minute of it!! The Professor and coaches are friendly and knowledgeable. They know how to keep the kids engaged. The coaches have taken the time to ensure my daughter understands what she should be doing and that she is not left out. Would absolutely recommend Gracie Barra Tacoma!!

This place is absolutely amazing! My daughter has been coming for a few years now and her confidence has sky rocketed! She loves coming every week to see her friends and learn new techniques to defend herself. I love that they teach the kids that Its not about fighting but about self defense.. The staff are super friendly and professional and they are always there when any of the kids need help. I highly recommend them!

Been going to Gracie for 5 weeks now and best decision was joining. Both my sons are learning so much and most importantly is they are having fun while doing so. Professor and coaches are professional, welcoming and you can tell they really care about the kids. My oldest is 8 with 3 years experience, who for the last year did not want to go, but since we started at Gracie he wants to go every time he can. My 4 year old has only begun and is having a lot of fun while learning. They really push the kids to learn the basics and focus on technique. Then they play with the kids and teach the kids how to have fun as a team.I get to be in the gym and watch both my boys as they train. Family friendly atmosphere both seen off and on the mats is something that I was looking for. Happy for my family to be a part of Gracie Barra Tacoma!

Great place to learn an train jiu jitsu professor josh is an amazing teacher an the coaches are really patient an willing to take the time to make sure you are learning I would highly recommend this gym to anyone!
