The “trainer” is completely uneducated and wouldn’t trust unless looking to get injured. Equipment is outdated and dirty. The staff is rude. They’ll lie to you about their policies until you sign your contract then literally flip the script. Claims to be a “judgment free zone” but far from it. I’ve seen staff members actually laughing and pointing at other members for being overweight or awkward while trying to workout.

The gym itself is pretty nice and lots of equip. My 2 problems have more to do with the other gym members. 1)if you are adult enough to use a tanning bed be adult enough to clean the bed behind yourself. Your mama ain't there so stop expecting someone else to clean up your sweaty butt crack juice. 2) I've never used a gym that had so many people decide to get on the treadmill right beside you. I go when it's dead and there will be an abundance of treadmills open but someone ALWAYS gets on one beside me. Drives me nuts and breaks my focus.

We feel like the employees at Planet Fitness are a part of our family! Austin greets us each morning with a smile & encouraging word! We especially appreciate the great job he does!

Austin S at planet fitness makes my morning great everyday. He takes care of all my concerns when I have them. He is so nice and polite to everyone that walks in the door. He goes above and beyond his duties that are required of him. The best thing planet fitness could do is put him in a higher up position. Everyone is great and it’s my only choice for a gym in Tyler!

I’ve been to a number of Planet Fitness clubs around the country. This is the worst so far. Old machines that aren’t smooth. Plumbing in the women’s showers needs to be fixed-broken shower heads, broken faucets... very disappointing because I was spending a month in Tyler.

This gym is close to home and is my go to, they would be perfect if they had racks I stead of smith machines. Also very busy in the afternoon so plan to be flexible depending on what equipment is being used

Good pricing. There is a membership for everyone; including a no commitment option. There are tons of treadmills and ellipticals. Plenty of benches for those who want the free-weight experience. Can't beat the 24 hour service either. I see this as a starter gym for those concious of their appearance to shape up before transitioning to other gyms. Complaints are that at times the temperature inside is colder than I would like, water fountains are lukewarm, and the facility tends to be really busy.

Great place to get fit and feel comfortable. The locker rooms are very clean and neat. The staffing is very polite and the machinery is great. Everything is separated, from cardio to abs to arms and legs to 30 minute workouts.

Hard to beat the price, and the place is pretty big. They do deal with machines breaking at times, and usually have them fixed within a day or two. Probably should study which cardio machines are needed in which amounts. More than likely, they might be able to reduce the numbers of some of these machines to make room for other machines that are in higher demand. Friendly staff!

The gym has different temperatures distributed per section therefore causing some of us to become sick. The locker room area where the bathrooms and showers are located the temperature is 50 degrees, and I was able to see it for myself in the office room when we spoke to one of the coworkers in private about my concerns about the gym. I was also highly disappointed because the African American coworker who works at night said that even though we had just arrived at a machine we are required to move if the light turns green and someone decides they want to use the machine and start on machine 7. Even though it isn’t machine one how it’s supposedly supposed to start. I find this extremely unjust because people go into this room wanting to only use sometimes only one machine then leave, but he said that even though it isn’t being done in a classroom setting the green light red light routine we are required to move from the machine even though the person did not begin the process on machine number one. These two Hispanic females were acting exceedingly intrusive and the coworker took their side by saying that if they ask us to move we have to move because they randomly felt like doing a class themselves without an instructor around. I think if there isn’t a class and an instructor the machines should be first comes first serves not have someone barely entering the gym and asking us to move from the machine we are using. I find it extremely rude and intrusive the way they behaved towards us. I am highly disappointed with how the coworker said things should be done at the gym when we are using these machines. I would completely understand if it were a class, but in my case it wasn’t a class at all when I walked into the room just to use one machine.
