This is a terrible company. Don't waste your time filling out surveys or reading their marketing emails. All for the optics. Good luck if you have a problem. No corporate customer service. They don't even have a customer support line. That should tell you something. Would never haveexpected such a shadowy operation from such a known name. Don't give them any opportunity to screw you. You will regret. I had went to get a free body scan. Manager offered to sign me up. I told him I will be out of town for couple of months. He said he will sign me up and freeze the acct. There won't be any charge during that time. However that wasn't the case, and I got charged multiple times. When I come back to town, I talked to the manager. He said he will fix it but never did even I reminded multiple times. Kept telling me the issue was escalated to the corporate. I tried to call corporate. Could not get a hold of anybody. Then I sent an email. No response. Long story short, after a lot of going back and forth, and insisting to talk to a manager, I was get a hold of a different manager. He was told me he would not refund the money because they still charge certain amount on frozen acct. I literally was disgusted with whole process, and could not take that anymore. Just cancelled my membership.

I’ve had a VERY poor experience for many reasons. Let me share them with you.1. They’re expensive, $40 or $50 per month are the only options.2. They don’t keep late enough hours. I don’t believe the listed hours are accurate.3. Their parking lot is theft ridden, yet they haven’t posted warnings signs for members or hired security.4. Trying to schedule for my physical assessment when I signed up was a joke. It took several reschedules and a full month before I received my scan. One of those reschedules I actually showed up for, and was turned away because they forgot it was in repair. When I finally did get my scan, the scanner didn’t work and I had to retrieve a staff member to come back and fix it after they’d left.5. Their app is never accurate. You have to take screenshots of the class papers on the doors if you want accurate class times. Learned this the hard way.5. Front desk staff seems irritated to be working there.6. When I signed on I was asked if I thought I’d be coming for 12 months, to which I replied yeah probably. Apparently this entered me into a mandatory contract, and if I decided to cancel the membership I’d either have to wait until my year expires and continue paying the monthly fee, or I’d be forced to pay a $100 cancellation fee. 🙄 When I said the trainer who signed me up never mentioned this, I was told that they no longer worked there so therefore they couldn’t ask him and there’s nothing they could do. That’s just bad business. C’mon.Honestly, the only people worth a damn are the class coaches. I feel bad for them to be stuck at such a place.

This Golds is not like what I was accustomed to. It was dark and dank but not really in the hardcore gym sense. They have a cool cardio theater that was probably the best area of the gym. The weight area has horrible lighting, like you may fall asleep between sets. The equipment was vast but could use updating.

I workout here because it’s close to work and I get to use other Gold’s Gyms when I travel. That being said, I’d jump at the chance for a competitor to pop up.People walk around barefoot and the staff just lets it happen. The broken equipment issue seems to have improved a bit, but it was a problem for a while. The locker room (at least the guys) is absolutely disgusting. When it rains it’s like it floods and there are like 10 buckets catching water - it’s been this way for my two years coming here.Showers? Oh my. Just don’t go near them. Most don’t work anyway but regardless it smells like a dirty mop.Anyway, they survive due to limited options...for now.

I have been going to the gym to work out for 30 years and this is the worst gem I have ever belonged to. Things get broken and never get fixed. It takes them weeks to repair any of the workout machines that get broken. Almost half of the lockers are unusable because they never fix the locking mechanism. It is constantly dirty. When they do wash the floor, they leave slick soapy residue all over the floor for someone to slip on. When you complain to management, still nothing ever gets fixed. I can't wait for the new gym to open here in town so I can move my membership.

The equipment was constantly broken, they were constantly out of paper towels and supplies, and the gym is dirty and poorly maintained. The worst part of working out there though was the staff- they were rude and unhelpful. The several times I asked for assistance from the staff they were very rude and acted like how dare I bother them and imterrupt their talking to each other. I've since switched to Crunch gym and am so much happier. Good riddance Gold's gym

I came in for a free trial and the person behind the counter was super friendly. That deserved a 5 star. But the gym was 1 star and so my experience evened out to a 3. However, seeing that I go to the gym to work out, not be nicely greeted, I won't be coming back. The equipment is super mega incredibly old, as if they have admitted defeat and know they will be closing soon. The pool is a complete joke. The sit up machine I used was shaking all over like I was on a mechanical bull or something. and, the other people there,...... Wow, absolute freaking weirdos. What kind of psycho stands in front of the mirror boxing and kicking the air? Three different people were doing this and they weren't even working out together. This place is incredibly sad. They should change the sign outside to mental asylum and it would be accurate.

Absolutely the best gym experience I've had in my entire life! Great facilities, always clean, and the staff is always friendly! Every morning I come in, I'm greeted by the nice lady at the front desk, and even get asked how my day was going by the general manager! I use the swimming pool 5 days out of the week, and it is always clean and heated! Would highly recommend this particular Gold's Gym to anyone I know and I plan on bringing a friend in soon to share the experience! Great Job Gold's Gym of Waco!

This gym has lots of free weights and equipment but the equipment is very poorly cleaned. Staff is unprofessional. Overcrowded.

Scam artists. They will continue to charge you after your contract is terminated, and then send your account to a debt collector in New Jersey. Notice is non-existent. Totally unprofessional and unethical business.
